  1. They said they checked the AC, the belt, and basically everything under the hood, but everything was in tact. That's a good suggestion about taking it to another dealer and also putting belt oil. They noticed that sometimes it made the noise on acceleration, like you said rpeterslll (which I didn’t notice before). I've called Ford's 1-800 number and registered the complaint with them. They said I was one of the first, and they haven't heard that complaint before. I don’t know if I'm just lucky number one, or no one else has called. The service manager told me if the noise becomes louder and more persistent to bring it back. It kind of sounds like bologna to me b/c the problem will still be there until they fix it. Until then, I've got my Fusion back.
  2. That was my initial thought! I even checked for funny smells, lol. :P I'm getting my Fusion back tomorrow, without it being fixed. They weren't able to tell what the deal was, but said some of the other cars on the lot made that noise.... weird. Who knows, I hope it's nothing serious!
  3. Hey All, I'm new to this forum stuff, but I've had my V4 automatic SE Fusion for about 5 months now; I wanted to see if anybody else was having my problem. I just dropped my Fusion off at the Ford dealer last Friday b/c it was making a screeching noise when I would start it in the morning. Sometimes if my car has been sitting for a couple of hours during the day, it does the screeching noise too. They haven't gotten any complaints like mine, so it's still at Ford attempting to be fixed. They don't think it's the belt. Has anybody else experienced this or heard of any kind of noise coming from under the hood? Thanks!
