  1. Looks good! I would have done the same if the holes in my bumper would have been aligned.
  2. Since I have the moon roof I tapped into the moon roof circuit and fished the wire under the headliner out just above the rear view mirror. Did that over a year ago and it has been working fine ever since.
  3. Rivets! What have they done to your new car! It is true you can drill out the rivets with a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the rivet. I'm just happy that the dealership repaired the holes in my bumper because they put the plate holder on so obviously off centered.
  4. First remove license plate then remove screws holding plate holder on. Mine had two screws or bolts holding it to the bumper. Hopefully yours isn't riveted on or something like that.
  5. I had the same problem but after a week of searching figured out it was the sun visor was not clipped into it's holder. I was about ready to take the damn car back to the dealer too because of it!
  6. I believe I got Pinnacle 50% on the front and Pinnacle 35% on the rear. The rear windows are pretty darn dark with that tint. I don't think I would like having my front windows that dark at night I can barely see out the rear window with the 35%. In fact the parking garage I park in everyday you can't hardly see inside the front windows with the 50% tint it is a dimly lit garage though.. The only thing that bugs me about the tint is the back window because it has those stupid little black dots and the tint has a hard time sticking to it so I have a line of tint bubbles down each side of the window. It's not really that noticeable but still it bothers me. I'd suggest getting the Pinnacle tint if it is available it makes a huge difference on heat buildup in my black car. http://www.formulaon...n/pinnacle.aspx
  7. They even detailed my car for me. I was quite shocked. I'm so happy it looks like it is supposed to now.
  8. Got my car back today. The front bumper looks great now! They did an excellent job fixing the damage. The paint matches perfectly too.
  9. I guess I should have explained what is going on.. It seems that sometimes when it is very hot outside the AC will work fine and other times not blowing cold enough air to cool off the cabin. I always have the temp set at 72 degrees but some days it just either gets too cold or not cold enough. The window tint I have blocks out 95% of the UV rays so maybe it's just me feeling the rays coming through the front window and other times not feeling it when I'm not driving toward the sun. This is my second vehicle with automatic temp. I had this car a couple of weeks before getting the windows tinted and didn't notice the problem. So it may just be me feeling the sun as it shines through the non-tinted windows and other times not feeling it. I'll have to keep an eye on it. My car is in the shop right now getting the front bumper repaired because the dealer screwed the license plate bracket on severely off centered. Fortunately they are paying for it and provided me with a rental car, actually a Chevy Silverado truck, to drive until it gets out of the shop hopefully this afternoon.
  10. I use http://imgur.com/ to host my images it is free and if you create an account like I did you can post albums. You can also select multiple images and post them as one link which is really cool. And it's free.
  11. Sorry for the wait I didn't have messages turned on in the forum so I didn't know anyone had replied. The only complaint I have about the tint on the rear window is that it is nearly impossible to get the tint to hide the little black dots around the window. All in all it doesn't really bother me at all.
  12. I had my windows tinted shortly after buying my 2010 SEL Fusion. Now it seems like the automatic climate control acts strangely when sunlight is coming in from different directions. I did not have the windshield tinted and I'm assuming that black nub in the middle of the defroster vents is the temp/light sensor for the AC. Are there other sensors that my be getting blocked from the tint on the other windows? Is there a way to reprogram the AC for windows that are tinted?
  13. Funny thing is I actually own a plastic welder. I used it on my last car after an accident and it worked really well. The best thing about the dealer doing this repair is that they are guaranteeing it for life. So if it fails in the future they will repair it again at no cost to me. I'm just happy these idiots are willing to take responsibility for the obvious mistake they made. In my State, Utah, a front license plate is required. Being the rebel that I am I haven't had a front license plate on the past 3 cars that I've owned. Even if I decided to put the plate holder on the car that would require 2 additional holes in my bumper. The original holes are so far off I'm not sure that if I put the plate holder back on it would cover the original misaligned holes. At any rate I'm happy they are willing to try and fix the problem.
  14. Good news everyone! I took my car in for the 5,000 mile oil change and wheel rotation and talked to the service manager and they are arranging to fix the license plate bracket holes! They are even going to get me a rental car for the time of the repair. They say they are going to fusion weld the holes and then respray the bumper cover and guarantee it for life. The service manager talked to the guy who installed the license plate bracket originally and he was totally embarrassed about it and apologized. Below is how the holes look now with center line for comparison.
  15. I actually fell for this scam years and they sent me a .15 cent resister in the mail. Man did I feel dumb.
