Are you replaceing your battery because it needs it or preventive maintenance ? I am not sure how long these new batteries are suppose to last. Dennis

Wow 100,000 in 4 years. I purchased a 2010 fusion with 6 speed manual trans.on april 2. i am glad to see your shifter has functioned properly over that time. Did you do any mainteance to the clutch or trans during your 4 years of ownership? Dennis

I have a 2010 6 speed manual trans I4 ,,i have had no problems or complaints so far. Car is approaching 900 miles. I would hate to have that noise problem and i hope yours goes away. The fusion manual shifter gets great mileage and plenty of power to spare. Dennis

I noticed when i filled up i had more gas in the tank than the car was telling me.The miles to empty said 30 and it should have said 85 miles to empty. I guess the car is still learning and averageing everything out. I don,t even have 800 miles yet on the car. One quick question...Do you think it is possible to reverse the head rest on the fusion?? i think it is in the way of me being able to sit with my back flat on the car seat.It seems to poke you in the back of the head. 70 !!!! you might have gotton in 35 mpg or better if you did the speed limit,,but your right it is impressive at 32.3.I need to take my car on the highway just to run up the mpg,s a bit. this .1 or .15 perday increase in mpg,s is killing me. I will check out the huskyliners.. thanks for the info...Dennis

I have a maunal trans which means i have 3 pedals instead of 2 on the drivers side. Do you think the weather tech mates would fit my fusion ? Dennis

Great info.,thanks. Traffic was terrible today and the computer still managed to increase my mpg's slightly,,so i know i have not maxed out yet. Right now i am at 25.2 mpg and still rising. All the road construction that is going on i would be happy to reach 26 mpg...NOT !! ...i want more. Dennis

most of my driving is suburban.there is some open places but mostly some stop and go.,,, the trans in 5'th gear on a level road at 45mpg seems ok ,,i do not feel any lag or groaning from the engine. i tried 6'th gear at a minimum of 50 mpg and i think the car likes it. Again this is on level roads. if i am going up even a slight incline ,i agree it feels better to downshift into 5'gear or even 4 under steeper conditions,,my goal is to get the most mpg i can. i have my tires over inflated by 4 pounds so that may help. thanks for the info....Dennis

Hello; i just bought the exact same car 2010 fusion 6 speed manual trans ,black interior on april 2. Just turned 620 miles on the odometer. Do you know what the minimum speeds are for 5'th and 6'th gears. I do a lot of driving at 45 mph and am wondering if that is to low for 6;th gear. I wish ford would put out a common sense gear chart.i am trying to keep my cruising rpm's at 1800-2000. does this make sense?
