  1. Just replaced my 2010 Ford Fusion SE with a 2012 Fusion SEL. Was taking my car in this week to get the alignment checked. Why? Same issue reported here - steering wheel was slightly to the left. It's driving me nuts. "Normal" my ass. Other than that - I LOVE THIS CAR!
  2. I got rid of a 2001 Honda Accord - fully loaded. I owned it and it was paid off. Really for awhile there I wasn't sure I was ever going to get rid of it. I ended up leasing a 2010 Ford Fusion SE with Sun/Sync package. Love it. What I miss about the Accord: Sometimes leather, except on hot days. Responsiveness of throttle (Fusion still has more power) Honda No car payments Seeing those miles climb above 150k and knowing it still had plenty of miles left in it What I don't miss: Lack of warranty Always had some kind of brake or rotor issue (specific to my driving style I'm sure, still) Car with a lot of miles on it I'm the kind of guy who likes new stuff. I had been driving the Accord forever and it pained me a little bit to let it go only because I probably could have kept driving it for another 4-5 years, easy. But, when I went to the dealership I told them I wanted something comparable to what I had at the time, and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. I stopped into the dealership just to "look around" and they put me in the right car. And I love the look of the car. All in all I was very happy in the end.
  3. Sonic, hey, nice buy man! I need to get the camera out and post up my 2010 SE soon.
  4. 28mpg with the 3.0V6? Are you driving a fusion or just something with the same engine? I've got the 2010 SE 3.0 V6, most I've gotten is 23 for about half a tank. Mostly 20-22MPG, granted it's still fairly new (just under 2,000 miles).
  5. I agree. I was told that when I first got my Fusion and again yesterday after they reprogrammed everything. They basically said with the firmware update it's liking starting from 0 again, and it could take a couple thousand miles. Felt like I had issues between 800-1000 miles. Update was done at 1005 miles so we'll see how things go going forward.
  6. Just got my car back from the shop. I never got a notice on the recall (granted I've only had my car for 30 days), but I had it in for weird issues I thought related to the transmission. They had an update for the PCM and TCM (powertrain and transmission). So far so good. Seems to drive a little better - I will know more tonight after taking it out for a much longer spin.
  7. I'd say that downshifting into 1st and having it slam into gear sounds normal. You shouldn't downshift to 1st, it'll do it for you. Unless I'm going really slow I can't downshift into 1st - I think it's more of a safety precaution. I don't think it's best practice in a true manual to ever downshift into 1st gear anyways either. I just got a 2010 Ford Fusion SE 3.0L V6 - goes into the shop to get checked on Thursday. I've had it stall on me once while in manual mode, and the tranny acts weird sometimes with hesitation. Other than that the car f*ing rocks. I think the TCM just needs updated or flashed or something. As of today I'm at 1000.1 miles. So it's still pretty new.
