WOW, is all I have to say, went from crappy RSA stock, 225\45\18, to Bridgestone Potenza RE 760 Sport 245\40\18 and the car is transformed to my BMW Sport standards. This is the tire size and quality that Ford should have put on our Sport models from the start. While a little pricey, they make the car handle like it would with lowering springs and front cross member brace. I now cannot wait to put on Steeda lowering springs and front cross member support to really make this car, too much fun. I have only noticed a half mile loss in gas mileage, the handling and comfort on curves is worth every penny. Upsize, Upsize, Ford has a good motor in this car, better with intake and tune, but the tires were the weak point, for Sport models, just like Honda and Accura, all journalist from car mags said " needs more tire." So, if you are looking to replace those POS RSA's and want to transform your car, spend a little and upsize, plus they help save the wheels when the wife runs up on the curb.

Has anyone installed the Steeda intake, SCT tuner and new magnaflow exhaust combo? What performance gains have you experienced?

My rant was warranted. Went to dealer with all my info and we pulled out Ford dealer books and external temperature is indicated as feature, no mention you have to have auto climate control. I spent 3 hrs with dealer and they agreed (finally,) there is no mention you have to have auto climate control. My great dealer had their lead tech attempt to put in a temp sensor, which is behind bumper on passenger side, and activate it via computer, no luck. The tech and myself looked at the wiring diagram and while the components are there, the computer boards are different for manual and auto and for that reason we cannot have external temp reading. The tech agreed this is a Ford enginering mistake for such a simple issue, however, he had no answer at this time to fix our issue as Ford did not make a fix without all new climate control boards. I would like to see Ford address this issue and come up with a solution, I won't hold my breath. So, for all the build date bs and exuses, along with very unsupportive forum member comments,(employed by Ford??) being thrown at proud Sport owners, you have a legitimate claim to have all the standard features you should have and Ford needs to address and fix. I want to be Blue Oval proud and with others with this issue, if we work together, maybe, Ford will come up with a no cost fix.

pkvir, auto headlights is listed as available, non standard, another one of the option packages. I know everyone has said that external temperature is only available on the auto climate control pkg and with out that feature we don't get external temp, however, Ford should not list it as a standard item and have it on the display screen. Ford should make this a goodwill recall and fix this issue, as many are upset they don't have this simple feature when they should, blantant misrepresentation of product offerings as standard. I know this issue might sound trivial, but I paid for something I was supposed to have and I did not get it. Ford just needs to do the right thing and remember happy customers keep them in business, not the government.

Hi, fellow 2010 FF sport owners. How many miles did you go breaking in your motor, before going full throttle? What is recommended break in procedure for our cars?

Hello blumagic, my build date was 06/10, so the dealer comment sounds like a bunch of bull. I have downloaded and printed off four standard item spec sheets from motortrend, automobile and jd powers along with ford's standard spec sheet which is not as detailed, indicating the external temperature is standard on 2010 FF sport models. I am going to the dealer on Monday to have my tint installed and I will be bringing this issue up to them and await their response. We are not alone with this issue, however, I purchased my car and the options I wanted based on this info, and Ford needs to make right, as my wife wants her temp reading and if you look with a flashlight you will see the housing on the display screen for external temperature.

Hi, the cross-member looks like a natural fit. Did you install this with the springs or started with cross-member and later installed springs. Did cross-member make much difference in tightening up front. I installed one on my 330bmw sport and the difference was negligable. Not to many aftermarket products available at this time to really wake up this car, as I had plenty of products available when I made my 93 SHO a real screammer, I hope to do the same with this car and duplicate a natural sleeper.

Hi, gene, did you order white with mettalic flake? My wifes friend has that on her sel and it is sharp. The sparkle really comes out in the sun. They did not have a Tuxedo black with 402 at time of purchase, I really did not need the nav as I have g1 phone and sync. I would have purchased 402a pkg if they had it available, but I really had to have the sport pkg and tuxedo black, as all my cars are black and sport pkgs with mods. I cannot wait to start modding this car as products become available. Gene, make sure to get that tint as my wife could feel the west sun beating down on her and she said she cannot wait till monday when I get the tint job done.

hi, I have the same issue on my 2010 sport with 401a pkg, according to standard items on our cars, external temperature is listed as standard and does not show that I need some different a\c control. I will be talking with my dealership on Monday and bringing them the spec sheets I printed off from motortrend and automobile that listed all our standard features. Ford's website is less descriptive on standard items on our cars, however, this simple item should be standard as I have it on a 2000 Dodge durango slt, and my wife really wants that feature on her sport, after she saw the compass , her first question. Where is the temperature indicator? Imagine my feelings when I had to say, "well your supposed to have it" and it is not there. My salesman had no answer, so now I quess I will have to squeak and get this resolved. I will update as soon as I get an answer.

Hello, from Mckinney Texas, I just drove off the lot with a 2010 tuxedo black sport, had to wait for them to remove delivery plastic. I am really impressed with new ford offerings, I used to own a 93 SHO with many mods, I hope the aftermarket will rise up and realize how good a platform Ford has given us to play with. I will post pics after tint job and I am looking for different Ford ovals, anyone with source please contact me. Have not had a chance to ring out car, as I will break in properly. Best bang for the buck car I found after lots of reasearch. Do you agree?

Hello, newbie here, new sport with moon and tune. I have compass showing on radio, however I don't have external temperature showing on screen. According to standard feature list on sport models I am to have that feature and I don't. Anyone else with same issue and got fixed?
