  1. I have two ford fusion v6 sel 2007 and 2008, both when the car pass over speed reducer or bumps. sound like a "cluc" noise. The 2007 model have a noise like desajusting when the car turn at low speed over irregular way.

Please i need help you to resolve this problem

    Thank you

Good Luck with this! Quite a few of us have this problem and no one has been able to find a solution. Apparently Ford doesn't care either!

  2. Hey everyone. I noticed my issue on the TSB listing and was wondering if anyone knows what the underlying problem that causes the front creaking noise. I have 40k miles on my 06 and only the powertrain ESP. It'd be very much appreciated if someone can help and let me know what's up with my car since the dealerships around here want to charge me $150+ just for diags.

    Thanks everyone

  3. Hey first of all this is my first post! Anyways i recently purchased the xcalibrator 2 from steeda. Well when i received it and tried to program my car it said there wasn't any tune files. So after couple times calling them up they finally emailed me a tune file. I loaded it on the xcal and programmed my car. After that i get the light flashing for the anti-theft and the car will not start. This ever happen to anyone? After letting it sit for awhile it will let me start it using one of the keys i have. Once started i get the emission light that is on now. Any ideas?

The check engine light should go off after 3-4 starts of the car. It is common on all these cars. Each time you flash it, the light will come on. As far as the anti-theft and not starting that is another thing, that has never happened to me. Just be sure you follow the prompts exactly.

  4. Just an update. I was purposely not using my All-weather replacement mats because I was afraid that they would come apart just like the original ones. Well I think I had about 6,000 miles on them and they are already falling apart again. I do alot of driving around and getting in and out of the car, but they should last longer than this. I would not recommend them to anyone. Spend the extra $$$ and get the WeatherTech Floorliners. They will last longer and do a better job of protecting the carpet since they cover more. Ford did a poor job on these mats they don't even fit that well. They are too small and don't "mold" over the the hump under the gas pedal, they lay over it and kinda flop there.

  5. I am guessing pin #5 would do the trick. Are you using your stock head unit?

  6. SteveA27:

Thanks for making yourself avaliable for questions. I have a 2006 Fusion SEL with 45 k miles. Love the car, but there is an annoying buzzing that occurs in the dash behind the steering wheel when I am pressing the accelerator pedal. It stops when I let up on the pedal. Drives me nuts. Any service bulletins on this? Any insights would be very much appreciated.

  7. I have the Milan version. Not worth the money. I had to have them replaced (under warranty) because they were falling apart. The ribs are hollow underneath and the rubber is soft, they just ripped away. Replacements are the same design, so I expect them to do the same thing.

  8. Before you get too excited - check the sun visors, especially the passenger side. I've had a similar rattle that sounded like it was coming from the right rear passenger seat 2 or 3 times and every time it turned out to be the passenger side sun visor. It pulls out of the clip very easily and it's not obvious unless you're looking for it. I have no idea how the sound gets bounced around to sound like it's coming from the rear but it does. Even knowing about it now it takes a minute or so for me to remember to check the visor due to the sound direction.

akirby, Thanks for the input, but, been ther done that. I have also had a strange clicking sound everytime I turned a corner. After 1-2 hours of frustration, I notice a vibration in the center armrest. It seems my 17 year old has put a couple of loose cd's in there, on end. So, everytime I turned a corner they would roll back and forth and hit the sides of the compartment. Thanks again.

  9. OK, so here is the deal. There have been a number of people, including dino1234 and myself, that have noise coming from the right side of the car. It sounds like it is coming from the back, but is most likely from the front (suspension?). It happens when going over speed bumps and bumps in the road, not necessarily pot holes though. Sounds like a hollow clunking noise (ball in a wooden box or tennis ball in a tube). We are trying to get some force in numbers to call Ford/Mercury all at once to complain. Also, to see if it is prevalent in the same vehicle. So far dino & myself both have I4 auto’s, but 2007 & 2006. If you have this problem, chime in and take the poll and at some point in the next couple weeks we’ll call and start what I hope will be the stampede to get this corrected. The dealers do not want to spend enough time to track it down so we need Ford to step up to the plate. Let’s go. You can take the poll here, but I am trying to keep the results in one place. So, click the link, take the poll and chime in.

  10. Doesn't sound like anything's changed since I bought my 4-cylinder Milan.

Is the rumored change on the 2.3L to a conventional oil filter for real, or just talk? I don't know how they'd even go about doing it. It's not like the cartridge system can just be replaced... it affects the engine block.

Actually there are some 2.3L motors out there already with the spin on filters such as the Mazda 3i. The parts already exist and you can convert it if you want. However, it would void your warranty. Check this link for some more info.

  11. Thanks for the info. The main reason I was considering it was because with the shield on the drain plug is a pain in the ass to get at without getting oil up my arm. THe hose was the best part. LOL. Actually, the threads are the right size 14mm x 1.5. I threaded it in whe I changed my oil and it seemed it perfect. I didn't leave it in because, like I said, I wasn't sure of it's reliability.
