  1. The light housings in a halogen and HID headlamp are different. They are designed to disperse the light according to the light source intended for them, ergo your halogen designed headlamps are not going to do as good of a job dispersing light from an HID as a light housing designed for an HID bulb. That being said when my HID kit was working in my 2010 for the limited time it did work I thought it did an ample job so maybe if you could find a projector it would help but I would recommend finding a headlamp designed for HID bulbs.
  2. I don't mean any disrespect to DDM as I said they were very helpful and did what they "could" to help and seemed to truly want to help. Just so those who from outside the US know they won't get too much help should anything go wrong.
  3. Were you able to find pre-cut covers? Or did you have to cut them yourself? If you found them where?
  4. Ain't that the truth! :P
  5. So an FYI to all "international" customers (read not American) considering an HID kit. If you have an issue with your kit from DDM Tuning and need a warranty claim then you will have to foot the bill on shipping back to them. They were fairly helpful trying to help me figure out the issues with my kit and eventually came to the conclusion I had bad ballasts and issued me a ticket to have them exchanged under warranty but they want me to pay another $30 in shipping (I'm assuming thats the cost because of what they charged me to ship them to me in the first place) for a kit I have had for about two weeks and has never worked properly.
  6. Has anybody tried tinting their tail lamps on a 2010 yet? If so did you do it yourself? and if so how did it go?
  7. How did you go about painting the surrounds? Did you remove them or tape them off?
  8. Wasnt too hard. She will definitely be able to hear it my wife complains it's too loud now.
  9. Last I checked changing the gauge faces doesn't change the color of the backlighting that is in the car, 2 totally different things
  10. I've never quite understood the reasoning behind debadging. Why did you do it?
  11. No sorry no pics yet. I've worked 8 straight at this point and won't be off until Saturday at the earliest, I think....
  12. Might happen if i can't get it to work but hid hub is literally 3 1/2 times the price... That would have to be a freaking huge gain in performance, reliability and anything you cannthink of...
  13. I wonder, I went with the slim ballast but again I don't see what diff that would make I guess I just need s couple of minutes to actually call them to get some ideas from them.
  14. In theory the dealer is trying to keep similar cash flow as they are losing a lot of money with the new longer intervals. They should (I re-in force this should) recommend the shorter intervals because you can't actually over service but tell you that if you don't have any of the driving conditions that cause you to "be required" to shorten the interval then it's up to you. This is what we do at our dealer and most customers are ok with this explanation.
  15. I've readjusted and checked the wires 3 or 4 times to make sure the connections are good and they can't get any better. Not sure why they would "overheat" in my Fusion but not yours. What year is your? I have a 2010 with the projectors so if you have an 06-09 with open area with better heat displacement I guess that would explain.
  16. I totally agree with the look of the rockers but holy over priced batman. You can buy the whole 3dCarbon kit for the same price as just the rockers....
  17. 4 kits and no issues? I have been having mass issues with my ddm tuning kit. My driver's side stays on for 5minutes then cuts out, my passenger has gone out a time or 2 and flickers on occassion... not impressed. Had them a week, I'm gonna talk to somebody this week annd see what can be done about it.
  18. The exhaust came in yesterday and we got it on. I'll work on getting pics up ASAP. Looks pretty good and sounds great.
  19. No doubt I totally agree. That is in fact what I said is it not? They can sell it to you at an X-plan price but in all likelihood will not d/t next to no profit... P.S. Thank you for adding the extras about protecting on the limited doc and other "protections" etc that I left out.
  20. The theory and everything this Yale guy is saying makes sense to me, but I don't think i would to have my seat vibrating all of teh time even if just a small amount. I would think it would be very irritating if not almost annoying.
  21. Bumper to Bumper is a misnomer. No non-luxury brand automaker offers a true Bumper to Bumper warranty as things like brakes, light bulbs, wiper blades are not covered outside of the first year by anybody outside of a BMW, MB, Lexus, Audi etc, and even not all of them do it either.
  22. Call your dealer and see what the warranty was on the Certified vehicle. I'm not sure as Ford doesn't do that in Canada that I 'm aware of. If they say the basic warranty was a couple of years your good, if they say that it is like most other Certified waranties (Honda) then it is only powertrain and your hooped.
  23. 2010 SE I4 AT the only problem I have had (besides getting rear ended and having the exhaust bent getting a Magnaflow Split rear on insurance :happy feet:) has been with a couple of hard shifts when shifting from R into D. But it hasn't happened since I had the flash recall done so all is well.
  24. Just going to throw in my last 2 cents and leave it alone. I've checked with my GM and dealer principals. They can negotiate on A/Z/X plan purchase and still turn it in. They never do it as they is 0 profit on one of those deals. Again I wanted to point out it may differnet in Canada or whatever I'm not going to get involved any longer but as far as Ford of Canada is concerned the dealer can sell any vehicle they want at any price they want, using whatever programs they want as long as Ford of Canada gets their invoice amount for the vehicle, whatever the dealer does is their call. Dictating what a dealer sells the vehicle for is legally price fixing. Just talk to Toyota Canada about that one and the whole Access Pricing fiasco.
  25. Yeah I got the same the response, a bunch of stuff about the econonmy and cost of R&D.... blah blah blah. Lol, I know it's not cheap I'm just disappointed.
