The fronts do not. I actually was chatting with the parts guy at the dealership yesterday about this. He said it's because the rears have something related to the E-brake built into the calipers, which makes it a bit of a pain to do them.

Bumping this up. This has been happening a lot more frequently recently. I have narrowed it to traction control, as the issue doesn't happen when I turn it off. It's really only when I'm accelerating around a turn, most frequently when it's also on a descending grade. I made a left-turn from a stop sign at the end of my street recently onto the main road, which is onto a downhill, and all acceleration cut out on me mid-turn. Scared the crap out of me, as there were other cars coming down the hill behind me. There are also certain areas where I drive regularly, (one specific spot on the road to my office), where it triggers it almost every time I drive through it. It's a negative-sloping right hand curve that transitions back uphill right in the apex of the curve. Even at ~30mph, that curve/hill combo trips it multiple times a week. I have to pull my foot off the gas to let it re-engage acceleration to get up the hill. Would a diagnostic scan be able to identify if one of the wheel speed sensors is going bad? Trying to figure out what my best, and ideally, least expensive corrective measure would be here.

I'm planning to change my front brake pads and rotors in a week or so. I'm doing it with a friend that has replaced his own 3 or 4 times. Just wondering if there are any special/proprietary tools needed to remove/replace any of these parts, so we don't find out once we're in there!

All seaons. They ~2 years old, and have a medium amount of tread left. It happened again to me over the weekend while making a left hand turn from a stop sign. I'm not a heavy-footed driver, so it was just a normal acceleration from a standstill. I was just glad that it wasn't onto a busy road.

So I've played with it a bit more since I first posted, and it does appear to be traction control, rather than stability control. I have found that if I turn traction control off, it doesnt cut the acceleration on me. Any idea what might be causing this? It's reasonably low speed (as low as in the 30's). Potentially yaw sensor and/or the steering angle sensor?

Tires aren't 0verly worn. They are only ~1-1.5 yrs old. I assumed it was stability control, since the little curvy-road light on the dash comes on. I'll have to turn off Trac and see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the advice. I'll give an update if anything changes.

Over the past month, I have found my car (2010 Fusion SE) intermittently kicking on the stability control when I'm driving around curves, most often while accelerating. It's pretty disconcerting to be driving around a curve and all of a sudden lose power/acceleration in my car. After a handful of seconds, it usually turns off and I can continue driving. I have no idea why it's doing it but it's getting pretty frustrating. Has anyone else had this happen, or have any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Just have a quick question: are tsb repairs covered under warranty, assuming I still have active bumper-to-bumper coverage?

does that sub enclosure fit down inside of the cubby on that side of the trunk? Looks like the sub itself will be more or less flush with the trunk floor in these pics.

You could always just keep the sunshade closed on the sunroof? haha In my opinion though, if you didn't care about the sunroof, etc, the difference in cost could probably get you an aftermarket stereo upgrade to improve that aspect of the vehicle.

I saw in your other post that you said you have no OK button on the steering wheel. you don't have this? It's the right side of the bluetooth phone button (bottom right on the steering wheel). You can also use the OK/Pause button on the right-knob on the head unit (on a non-nav Sync system).

If the signals are actively filtered from the head unit, the SSI won't eliminate the filtering. There won't be any way to fully eliminate it other than reverse-EQ'ing it to negate the filtering and flatten the signal, which I think the DSP does. However, if the signals are just split (crossed-over) from the head unit to send one signal to the woofers and a different signal to the tweeters, you tap all of those channels and run them into the SSI, which takes them all and sums them into a single full-range signal to feed into the DSP. If the stock head unit sends out a full-range signal to the speakers and they just use passive, in-line capacitors to filter or split the signal, then you could technically just tap the full-range signal before the filters and get the same effect. In both cases, you'll still need the DSP to actually EQ the signal & any other processing, since virtually all head units are doing some sort of EQ'ing.

For the most part, I'm loving the Sync system. It has its quirks, but its handy and really convenient. However, it really bugs me that between songs playing from my ipod, I feel like it has 2second gaps between them. I listen to a fair amount of live music and this is REALLY annoying...especially since the ipod can play gapless songs just fine on its own. Heck, even my 5 year old pioneer head unit w/ ipod adapter could play almost gapless (.5 sec pause). Are there any fixes or firmware updates or anything for Sync systems that will allow for this?

I've seen posts in the V6 forum about people being able to use engine covers from older cars in their Fusions. Are there any existing engine covers from any other vehicles that fit the 2010 I-4 engine? Coming from a car that had most of the engine covered (which made it look really clean), It'd be nice to have some sort of coverage on this one.

Does anybody know the maximum speaker mounting depth for the front doors of a 2010 Fusion? Thanks.

this is a mini-usb plug. It's the same kind that many cell phones and GPS devices use as well.

yea, I was trying to stay in a pretty tight price range, so the SEL and Sport models were out of it. I would've loved to get a Sport if I could've. I couldn't get everything I wanted, but I got all of the major things at least (Sync, Sunroof, Appearance package)!

welcome to another new SE owner. I got the 18" OE wheels and they make all the difference (they look much better than the stock 17's). Even if your old car was awful, it looked good!
