  1. Yes, you are correct. Thanks for the clarification. This tidbit helps me tremendously.
  2. I am putting gear oil as suggested in the manual trans, but the fluid that leaked out of the cooler line looks red like automatic transmission fluid. Any idea or am I missing something?
  3. The one end that connect to the clucth is high pressure hose with a clamp, thats is why I wonder.
  4. I think it is the clucth hydraulic line since it is right under the floorboard where the clucth pedal is located
  5. I found a hole in one of my cooler lines, the line runs down by the driver side front tire. I have an I4 with a manual 5 speed trans. Looks likes this is a dealer only part. My question is if I cut out the damaged area of the hose, flare the metal line and re-attach with rubber hose and clamps - will this work as a long tern solution? Or is this a high pressure line and my solution will not work and I need to suck it up and pay the dealer too much money for the part. Attached picture shows the hose in question. Thanks,
