  1. I do not see how time sitting would effect the transmission. Once it is cold it is cold. Once you start the car the fluid is flowing fully in seconds. Sitting over night should be the same as sitting a week for the transmission in my opinion. By the time you get out on the road the oil fluid is flowing freely but still could be cold. My point is overnight should be the same as two days.
  2. Okay I may need to take back all of my complaints. The dealer I took the car to said "No Problem Found" ever since I got the car back it has shifted perfectly. They either fixed it or the lower air temperature (<70) have corrected the problems. The car shifts perfectly now. I will need to wait for 90 degree next year to see if the problem reappears.
  3. Save your money. If you need new plugs go ahead put I would not remove good plugs expecting to better MPG or performance. It is snake-oil
  4. I would not expect the car to adapt to the driver. If you have two drivers that would be a problem. Even a single driver changes his style of driving during the day, week or month. Do I alway accelerate to 40 in 8 second. If I am on a highway yes, it I am on a back road I may take 15 seconds. If it raining I drive different. If I am alone in the car the car would accelerate quicker with the same accelerator position. Place 5 big adults in the car would take more movement of the accelerator to accelerate at the same rate. It would appear that the Transmission may monitor itself to maintain the same shift point as parts wear.
  5. I only tried it once and I assumed it would not have shifted. Actually since I did it I have been concered that I could have hurt the engine. I had never gone over 4000 rpm before.
  6. About 6 months ago I had the transmission re-flashed per the service bulletin. Since then the transmission has shifted strangely. If I drive at 50 MPH and slow to 20 MPH the car remains in forth gear. This then requires the car to down shift twice to get to 2nd gear so I can accelerate again. Since the car is in 4th gear you need to press the accelerator to get moving again, then it down shifts and you have a sudden burst of acceleration It appears that the car would also go past 6000 rpm if you do not let off the gas during hard acceleration . Once you let off the gas it goes right to 5 th gear. It appears I need to drive more aggressively to get the transmission to down shift. Two dealers say all is OK. No codes to report. Of course I am disappointed since I test drove a car that shifted well. Then due to a transmission weakness I have a car that get 3 mpg less and does not perform in my opinion as it should
