  1. Looking to sell a set of 4 19" OEM Ford Fusion Titanium wheels without wires. Great condition, one wheel has a tiny knick on it, other than that they are near mint. $750 shipped or $625 picked up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Can call or text 513-259-9778 Richard.
  2. My 2010 has the same rust spot. I just posted about this, then realized this thread was already out there! I wash and detail my car quite often, and it is garaged as well. Looks like the trim was engineered incorrectly and rubs on the painted part of the trunk lid over time.
  3. I have noticed a tiny rust spot starting on the trunk lid of my 2010 Fusion. It's where the left side of the chrome trim (part with the Ford logo) touches the trunk and has rubbed the paint off. The right side does not have the issue at all. I went and looked at 2 other 2010 Fusion's on a car lot...and they both had rust spots! Anyone else have this issue? Just curious, it's so small that it would take quite some time to spread, but it's irritating to know that there is a rust spot on a car that I clean and detail on a regular basis! Never mind, I found a thread covering this issue. Looks like it is a common occurrence!
  4. I'm with ya guys, I was just trying to make a suggestion of performance over looks/sound. I agree about the sound needing to be a little deeper, and the tips are PUNY! If the exhaust was in the $400 range...It'd be a diff story for me. I kicked around the idea of an exhaust because of how good they look on these cars, but I guess I'm too cheap lol.
  5. In my opinion, it would be the biggest waste of money for a mod on these cars. I am not ragging on anyone that does it...just saying that it has the lowest bang for the buck of any mod you can do. If you drop $600-$700 on a catback just for sound, I would highly encourage you to invest that money into a tune and cold air intake first. A power pak from Steeda will cost about the same, and net you about 30 additional WHP. Just saying, why not? Now, if this was a V8....I'd say the exhaust should be ripped off the car the first day! But these cars I think are better left kept quiet.
  6. If you are really particular about the maintenance on your vehicle, this is what I would do (And what I am doing, as my 2010 Sport will be hitting 75k next month). I am putting a Steeda engine mount in (stock one is starting to get noisy and loose), drain and replace trans fluid, replace spark plugs, and drain and replace coolant. Not much to these cars....I have had mine for 2 years now and 35k miles later its been problem free, and I am not easy on my cars. I would be what you would consider an "aggressive driver".
  7. The bolt pattern and offset/size are fine...but the hub bore size is too small. The SHO has like a 63mm bore, Fusions have a 67.1 I think. They'd have to be bored out at a machine shop.
  8. Little update, I live in Cincinnati, my driving habits and patterns have not changed, and my winter MPG's on my FWD Sport are at about 21-21.3 average, that's down about 2 mpg from summer. That's to be expected.
  9. I would be careful with this. The 96-98 Cobra wheels have a 24 or a 26mm offset (I am almost positive), pulling the wheel further out of the wheel well, that coupled with a wider tire may cause clearance issues on the front when turning, or clearance issue in the rear when suspension is loaded. I think the wheels are 17x8...so that would like adding a 24mm spacer to a Fusion Sport with stock wheels...that's pushing it on the rear! Especially with a tire that big.
  10. I don't recommend a salvage. Mainly because these have been known to start to "fail" around 40-50k miles, and most salvage vehicles have that many miles or more...and in most cases you can't test it to see if it's making the same sound as yours. My car had the same problem start around 50k miles, I let it go until 60k...found the part at a great price on Rock Auto .com and took about 20 minutes to replace....good as new. I think it was around $50 shipped.
  11. In for pics as well. I also am curious to see your wheel setup!
  12. I would probably go with a 245/35/19, since it is within a 1/4" of the factory tire height . A 245/40/19 is taller than the stock tire by about 3/4".
  13. Why do you recommend this? I have a 2010 Fusion Sport and I am at 60k miles currently. I was going to do a transmission fluid change at this point. I started searching around and found a few sources stating that this particular trans fluid is service free? So I am leaning towards it being useless to change the fluid before the 150k mile interval. Interesting enough, I plan on keeping the car until it reaches 150k miles... But there seems to be mixed opinions out there with this particular car/transmission.
  14. My 100% recommendation for a great all season tire that performs at a high level in wet/dry/snow and isnt too noisey is the Continental ExtremeContact DWS in 225/45/18. I have these tires on my fusion, great tire wear, and the best all around tire I have ever had. They dont have the best dry traction, you will typically only get that with a summer tire. But all around, I have not found a better tire. I have had over 30 cars, and I will now continue to buy these tires for my daily drivers. They are a little pricey, but you really get what you pay for on tires. Mileage wise, I think I can get about 40-50k miles on this set...I am at 16k miles right now.
  15. This would be a true story with the older style Mustang wheels, which have a much different offset that the newer Msutang wheels ('05 and newer). '05 and newer Mustang wheels are designed to where they have more backspacing, so they are "tucked" in the car further. Older style mustang wheels ('04 and older) had less backspacing, "pushing" the wheel/tire further out, therefor possibly putting too much pressure and stress on suspension compnents and wheel bearings. Same thign happens to the Full sized F250/F350's with aftermarket oversized wheels/tires. They will wear out wheel bearings much quicker, I know from experience on that one! Having said that, I think he is exagerating and really going out on a limb saying it will "tear it to pieces". Offsets/backspacing differences are minimal on what we are comparing.
  16. Hello everyone! my name is Rishard, and from the Cincinnati area. I have been a Fusion owner for about 2 years now, first was a 2009 SEL 2.3. Wasn't happy with the power of the 2.3 and so so fuel mileage since the Fusion is a larger car. So I traded it in for a 2010 Sport. Love both cars, but the Sport is obviously a much more fun car to drive, and gets close to the same MPG's...so I am happy. I am a bog Ford guy, always been a Mustang guy but don't have one currently. Also have a 2010 Lariat F150 Supercrew. The car is a 2010 Sport with lowering springs, Steeda intake, HID's in headlights and fogs, tint, and debadged, and weathertech mats. Currently has 49k miles and looking to put a Steeda SCT tune on it soon. Here is a pic of the car.
  17. I have the same exact issue. This is not normal by the way. I had a 2009 Fusion that had great floor heat...my 2010 Sport now has horrible floor heat. It will blow about 50/50 floor/defrost when I have the selection on floor only.
  18. I want to thank you for making this known on this forum. I have a 2010 Fusion Sport and is frustrates me to no end why they didn't make automatic headlights a standard option on this car. But it is what it is, and now for about $50 and an hour in the garage I can have this. Thanks again! As far as the part numbers go, that would depend on the year Fusion you have. The earlier models use a differnt switch than the 2009-2010's, and the 2011-2012's use a different switch to my knowledge.
  19. Save yourself some time and hassle and get a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. Best decision ever made on my Sport. You think you are confident with those goodyears on there, just wait. All my opinion though.
  20. Can you close the windows? Is there such a thing as "global closing"?
  21. Normal driving I get 22.5-23mpg with a 60hwy/40cty driving week. All highway I have gotten as high as 27.5 several times. 2010 Sport FWD all stock performance wise. 40k miles.
  22. I have a set of 4 brand new 225/45/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's for sale. Literally a new take off of a Subaru from the dealers lot. $500 and they are yours. These are $1000 on tirerack. Five One Three -259-9778 call or text Rich.
