Hello! I need help and explanation. Please tell me, I need help about the engine and about Ecoboost in general. My be you can advise me something based on experience or true. The thing is: I hit kicked down on my 1.5T Ford Fusion USA. I don't drive like that at all, but the situation required it. I drove to the point, I look in the mirror behind and saw a cloud of blue smoke and it stank of smoke for 3 min inside too. Auto after that approx. I SCREWED off and looked at the spark plugs, they had traveled 44,000 km. Rubbish... I have a video of the cylinders. Then I climbed into the cylinders with the camera and saw something that I did not understand. Apparently there is soot, an oil film. Could YOU please advise what is it? Why? How? Reasons? I have video inside cylinders, but cant download. Now i have: - Mileage: 50 000 miles (86,000 km) - fuel consumption is excellent, highway, from 6 l/100km. -- Oil consumption: 200 grams per 10,000 km. *Use Kendall 5W-20. -Service (changing oil) every 8,000 km. -Petrol: Tesco ""99 Moment"". (EU) 1. I need explanation, why it's had happened? 2. What to do? 3. Do I need clean cylinders? 4. Could it be a cylinder head gasket 5.! What engine diagnostics do I need and what should it include? -× I want to help this problem, it is possible to react earlier ×- BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR ECOBOOST! ANDREW

I have a 2018 Fusion SE, 1.5 Ecoboost with 14,000 miles. No problems at all for the first 14,000 miles but now I have a re-occurring issue with the automatic stop/start system. Twice in two days, the system has failed to re-start the car and an error message is displayed on the dash stating the stop/start system has failed and instructs the driver to put the car in park and re-start. The first failure was 3 days ago and the second time was just this afternoon. Between the first and second incident, I took the car to a local Ford dealer for an oil change and tire rotation. I also specifically asked them to check the start/stop system noting the failure a day prior and the message displayed on the dash. The dealer did not find any issue but also did not make a note of my request on the service order so I don't know if the tech was advised of my request. I did specifically request a battery check as I had done some research and seen this as a common issue. After the first occurrence, I thought that I would let it go as an isolated incident but twice in three days...that's a problem. The first time this happened the car would not re-start after multiple attempts but I was lucky that I had no traffic behind me and the car finally re-started. I missed getting a picture or video of the error message today while getting my phone un-plugged from the car (using Android Auto on Sync) and waiving at the cars honking behind me to go around but I did capture the picture posted below. I have searched this forum and Google and seen a few entries for the Escape but none for the Fusion and little in regard to a source of the problem or a fix. I can just bypass by using Sport mode or turning the system off each time I start the car but I would rather have the issue fixed. Luckily, I'm still under warranty. Conditions at time of failure: 50 to 60 degrees Once at night, once during the day Both times at a stoplight A/C on both times Rear defogger on today Any help is appreciated.
