  1. Hello! I need help and explanation. Please tell me, I need help about the engine and about Ecoboost in general. My be you can advise me something based on experience or true. The thing is: I hit kicked down on my 1.5T Ford Fusion USA. I don't drive like that at all, but the situation required it. I drove to the point, I look in the mirror behind and saw a cloud of blue smoke and it stank of smoke for 3 min inside too. Auto after that approx. I SCREWED off and looked at the spark plugs, they had traveled 44,000 km. Rubbish... I have a video of the cylinders. Then I climbed into the cylinders with the camera and saw something that I did not understand. Apparently there is soot, an oil film. Could YOU please advise what is it? Why? How? Reasons? I have video inside cylinders, but cant download. Now i have: - Mileage: 50 000 miles (86,000 km) - fuel consumption is excellent, highway, from 6 l/100km. -- Oil consumption: 200 grams per 10,000 km. *Use Kendall 5W-20. -Service (changing oil) every 8,000 km. -Petrol: Tesco ""99 Moment"". (EU) 1. I need explanation, why it's had happened? 2. What to do? 3. Do I need clean cylinders? 4. Could it be a cylinder head gasket 5.! What engine diagnostics do I need and what should it include? -× I want to help this problem, it is possible to react earlier ×- BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR ECOBOOST! ANDREW
  2. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion SE FWD with the 2.0L turbocharged ecoboost engine. The transmission seems to stutter in third gear under heavy acceleration, but doesn’t seem to happen with normal acceleration. I have noticed that it only becomes an issue in third gear and has never happened in first or second gear. It usually occurs somewhere around 60 mph or about halfway through third gear, but i think the revs and current gear are more important to the issue than the speed. Yesterday, I tried leaving my foot glued to the floor while the issue occurred because I was curious what would happen since I usually just let off the gas and accelerate calmly and to my surprise, it happened until the engine issue light came on and flashed for about 20 seconds before going away and turning off completely. The light did not return, but the issue has not been resolved and I can only assume it would happen again if I tried, but I don’t want to damage the car. I think I noticed a slight cut in power after the engine light started blinking, but i could be wrong. Though, whatever cut in power I may have felt went away after the light stopped blinking. My car has been doing this for a couple months, but I try to avoid causing the issue to happen as to not damage the car. I must also mention that the car has not always done this in the two years of ownership. This has only been an issue in the past couple months and I change my oil and oil filter regularly as well as having no other issues with the car except for this. If anyone knows what is wrong or has a theory as to why my car is doing this, I would greatly appreciate a reply. Thank you. :) IMG_3809.MP4
  3. I have a 2016 Fusion with eco boost. The other day i was letting the car run while I was in the house. I came outside pulled off and the car shut down telling me the "Engine coolant temp overheated, low oil pressure, service trac system, service rear parking aid system,, and also low tire pressure". i was told to change out the engine coolant temp sensor which I did. Now the car still wont start, it doesnt even turn over. Also i bought 2 different code readers from walmart and neither will connect with the car. Anyone else experienced anything like this? Any info would help as Ford is booked weeks out. Thanks
  4. Currently own a 2014 Ford Fusion 2.0L. I have had it into Ford twice for transmission problems, shifting hard going from 1-2 and 2-3. The first time was about a year ago, end result was my transmission being rebuilt. The most resent time I had a new transmission installed all together. The issue has never gone away. Have an appointment for Monday to have it looked at, new tranny came with a warranty. Unsure what else to do, I am so tired of this. Any advice would be appropriated.
  5. I am currently selling my BARELY used Cobb AccessPort. I tuned my 2014 Ford Fusion 2.0 EcoBoost for one day, and uninstalled the tune, and its been in the case ever since. There is nothing wrong with it at all, just would rather sell it to someone that would actually use it then have it sit in my dresser. I had only tuned my car for the day mainly out of curiousity, then had to get it serviced ( which is why I uninstalled the tune) just in case you know? and just really never messed with it since for some reason. ** This AccessPort is unmarried** Comes with all accessories I am asking $350. I purchased it for $500 on Mountune's site, and think that is a real reasonable price for how much its been used. Throw me some offers though, the worst I can say is No And I just realized all pictures are horizontal and Im sorry haha
  6. What I have: 13' FF FWD 2.0t Ecoboost mostly stock. K&N stock replacement filter and a turbo thrush w/ 3" inlet pipe 1 in 2 out (someone had a y pipe with muffler delete and burnt up the water pump thinking they were on Fast n Furious... so I fixed it so I could hear and got some back pressure) It has the hard shift between 2-3 that so many have. What its used for: My wife and I Uber and this is a select vehicle(uber black minus the black on black and additional fee) as well as most of the year I put a 32' ladder and 22 collapsible. We drive about 30k miles a year so MPG and 87 octane is big for us but I also want it to have an enjoyable mode. I am willing to run 91 on the fun days or road trips. What I want to do: Total price has to be under $700 I looked into spaces and as a mechanic(15+ years) I just want the best for my needs, results for $. Sound Symposer delete while running that open line to exterior air (only if it adds more airflow). Steeda Recommends "Denso ITV22" and I need new plugs any advice (copper, iridium...) ive always used motorcraft on ford but this is a different kind of ford. I have 60k miles so im gonna clean up throttle body too. Has new trans fluid and axle seals recently replace. I would like to install a better blow off valve (i like the sound but its not a big deal) So i would like to know your opinion. I just want something that may be a little more up to mild tuning standards recirculated or not lets her ideas Add the BIG question whats some feedback from similar setups COBB, MOUNTUNE, or Livernois and why. I was steered away from SCT with the X4 mainly due to the ability to have a few tunes that can be set via steering controls instead of pulling over and uploading a new program (keep this in mind, steering wheel integration is preferred). I have done a lot of research into this but I am new to tuning and ford fusions. My past has been with diagnoses and repair of mainly NA engines. Having said that I am a quick learn and great with computers. Ultimately I would love to just run my computer directly to the car but i understand that the cheapest/safest way is going to be using a v3 port along with people that have dynos. I don't expect the right answer, only honest opinions and I hope to know that they are based on person review. Let me know what you think, and Thanks in advance. FYI I have the premium 18" 20 spoke polished aluminum rims that I don't want So let me know if your looking for some, may even trade. I like 16's maybe 17 they are $$cheaper for rubber
  7. Hi guys, new to the forums and new owner of a year old 2013 Fusion SE 2.0. Car has 22000 Kms on it. Car runs great shifts great, no power shortage or anything. I only have one little worry with the car. When I put it in reverse, I hear a mechanical click and the car bumps just a little. If I go from reverse back do Drive, same noise happens. Now I had the car into Ford and they said it was normal operation of the vehicle. Then I asked a co worker who is very good with cars. He is also telling me this is normal. Now, I've only ever driven this fusion. Never tested others. Is this single click noise anything to even worry about? Is it normal operation of the vehicle? You 2.0 owners, do you get this as well? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated as I want to drive my car and not worry the whole time. Thanks!
  8. Okay Team - This is my FIRST Ford (coming from a GM family) and my first post so here it goes... Question: Can I upgrade past version 1.3 on my 2009 Ford Fusion SE? My question seems to be simple but no one can give me a straight answer. I understand that with all the versions and systems there is no one location or spreadsheet to view but I don't understand why it is this difficult to find out. According to my syncmyride profile, I have an "update available", but it appears to be from the dealership. From everything I have read and know 1.3 to 2.0 is DEALER PROGRAMABLE ONLY. Now, this is where it gets interesting... The dealership has had my car 3 times and for some reason when I do the version checker I am still on version 1.3 and syncmyride still showing "update available". Today, I finally got to someone at ford in the "super smart sync technology section" and he told me that 1.3 is as far as my 2009 Fusion will go and there are no more updates available. Now, I work as a systems administrator, so I know my way around networks, computer, and helpdesks... with that said, and looking at the online information I don't know that I 100% believe that. Can anyone 100% verify they have a 2009 Ford Fusion (without Navigation) and have successfully updated to Ford Sync version 2.0 or greater via a dealership. Thanks to anyone who can help!!!
