  1. Hello,I wanted to discuss a recent issue that I had on my 2006 Ford Fusion SE V6. This happened twice in the last two weeks while driving. I'll try to be detailed as possible as I've not ever experienced this before. When I was driving my Fusion, my Fusion suddenly started running very rough and could barely accelerate. I had to really step on the gas and it was revving up but barely driving. This happened while driving in a populated area where I was not driving too fast. I pulled over and let it idle for a bit and after that it was fine. The same thing happened again while driving down a residential street. The Fusion was sputtering out and not accelerating. I was stepping on the gas and it was barely going anywhere. I pulled over to where I could let the Fusion idle and it drove fine after that. I even drove this in even much colder, downright frigid weather since then and I have not experienced any problems. So my question is what exactly is going on with the Fusion all of the sudden not being able to accelerate properly? Is this a common problem with Fusions? Are there any recalls for this?I hope this makes sense. I'm trying to figure what is going on myself. Any help with this would greatly be appreciated. Thank You
  2. Hello, My name is James. I'll be going by jchisholm01 on this forum. I'm an owner of a Red 2006 Ford Fusion SE V6. I purchased it last fall and I reside in the northeast in the metro Boston area. The mileage is at 112,000. I will also try to get photos on here as well. Greetings to the Ford Fusion forum.
  3. Does anyone happen to know if the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion gauge cluster is interchangeable with the 2006-2009 gauge cluster?
  4. Ford didn't make navigation an option for the Ford Fusion in 2006 but they did in 2007 and I was wondering if I could put a 2007 Ford navigation system in my 2006 Ford Fusion SEL with no problems. I tried a 2006 Ford Five Hundred navigation radio but the quality was no good due to the Five Hundred *incorporating an external amp that drove additional bass drivers*. Any thoughts? *information given too me from another forum*
  5. I bought a used 2006 ford fusion about 7 months ago and ever since I got it, it dies and says check charging system. It seems to die when it's warmer outside and if i drive it longer than like 15 minutes. It only dies at stops (stoplights, stop signs, etc) and it does it if its stopped usually for longer than 30 seconds. When this first started happening we replaced the battery and it continued, so we took it to a mechanic and they found nothing at all (connected it to the computer too) so we took it to multiple other auto part places to connect to a computer and it showed nothing. So we took it to another mechanic who changed the alternator and throttle body and fixed some connections. Again, nothing. Still dying. I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm only 16 and I don't have money to buy a new car and i'm not going to do what this guy did to me and just let someone else deal with it. I've already spent $900 on replacing things that dont even fix it. any ideas or recommendations?
  6. I would like to replace my car steroe. It is the original one. I would like to replace that radio with an upgrade one. I just need to hook up my iphone. My question is, can I replace it with a similar car stereo with an aux? I mean, can a use a 2010 ford car stereo?
  7. Hello Fellow Fusion Owners, I have a 2006 Ford Fusion and my key is stuck in the ignition and won't come out. It happened earlier, I went to pick some things up at my cousins house and got home and went to pull the key out the ignition and realized it was stuck. It turns on and off but just doesn't want to come out of the ignition. I have had this vehicle for about 3 years now and have not ever had this problem nor have I ever heard of this problem. Requesting some assistance. Thank you!
