I think this has been covered before, but I will ask it again. Most evryone says that going up one size in sidewall height e.g. 50 to 55 should not create a problem for the suspension geometry. I read hat the tread to upper ball joint clearance is the most critical and then the inner fender lining. I measured the diameter of the OEM tires on there by looking up the specs, measuring them, and checking the specs on the 225/55 R17 tires I want to buy. The 55s are slightly less than .75" larger in diameter (.375" larger all the way around) The wheel opening clearance is larger than 2" around. Has anyone done this one size taller upgrade without issues? I went one side wide and one size taller with my stock 50 focus tires and had no issues previously for a much smoother ride. So I figured one size taller and same width should not be an issue. This might be the last set of tire I put on the car since it already has 100K miles on it. Wear rating on this set is 700AA and MFGR says 70,000 tread life. Input Appreciated. Feedback Welcomed. Experience is priceless. Thank you!

I just bought a 2010 Fusion Hybrid with 102,000 km on it. I like the car except for the fact that whenever the Sync system (6 cd changer) is used or kicks in there is an awful lot of static. I spend a lot of time commuting in my car and generally listen to audiobooks or music from my iPod and this ability was one of the main reasons why I was looking at the Ford's. I've tried playing audio files through the iPod (tried 3 different cables), through bluetooth (iPhone 4 iOS7 and BB Z10), and also through a usb drive connected to the usb port. All have the static. Also, whenever the Sync system kicks in like when it says "bluetooth connected" the static is there too. I've tried the master reset and pulling the Sync fuse (left it out for 5 minutes with the car off, then ran the car for 5 minutes with it out, and then put it back in) and still no change. I've uploaded an audio file illustrating the static: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vtzdmvb5mrdor78/Sync%20Static.m4a I was hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on this and how to fix it. According to Syncmyride.com my car has the latest software (v3.1). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have just gone over 100000K yes and I have a 2010 Fusion Hybrid. I do a lot of driving so far I have only had to do the works every 10K, which I have done, and change the tires for wear. I been having a hard time getting to find out what is needed on the 100000K maintenance no one seems to know what is really needed. Depending on where I look.... even in the book I get different answers. My ROI has been great on this car. Love the drive and how it handles. I have been avg over the 100000K 36 mph and I do a lot of 75 mph driving and live in Southwest Virginia.
