  1. Hello! I need help and explanation. Please tell me, I need help about the engine and about Ecoboost in general. My be you can advise me something based on experience or true. The thing is: I hit kicked down on my 1.5T Ford Fusion USA. I don't drive like that at all, but the situation required it. I drove to the point, I look in the mirror behind and saw a cloud of blue smoke and it stank of smoke for 3 min inside too. Auto after that approx. I SCREWED off and looked at the spark plugs, they had traveled 44,000 km. Rubbish... I have a video of the cylinders. Then I climbed into the cylinders with the camera and saw something that I did not understand. Apparently there is soot, an oil film. Could YOU please advise what is it? Why? How? Reasons? I have video inside cylinders, but cant download. Now i have: - Mileage: 50 000 miles (86,000 km) - fuel consumption is excellent, highway, from 6 l/100km. -- Oil consumption: 200 grams per 10,000 km. *Use Kendall 5W-20. -Service (changing oil) every 8,000 km. -Petrol: Tesco ""99 Moment"". (EU) 1. I need explanation, why it's had happened? 2. What to do? 3. Do I need clean cylinders? 4. Could it be a cylinder head gasket 5.! What engine diagnostics do I need and what should it include? -× I want to help this problem, it is possible to react earlier ×- BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR ECOBOOST! ANDREW
  2. I took my 2016 fusion titanium edition into body shop to be repaired after an accident. The passenger side doors and back panel had to be replaced. When I got my vehicle back my digital speedometer was missing. Poof, vanished no proof that it ever existed. I've had my car for 5 years and bought it with the digital speedometer. I have been to 2 Ford dealers now who all keep telling me that my vehicle did not come with a digital speedometer program and that it was never an upgrade option. I feel like I'm nuts, I know I had the digital speedometer, I used it all the time, I'm not an analog person. I've read online that it was even a package offered with the 2016 fusions but am also being told that it was not an option package according to my owner manual. PLEASE help. Has anyone had this issue or any ideas on how to get my speedometer back. Ford dealers are saying there is no way to reprogram it. How do I have this for 5 years and all of a sudden it is gone.
  3. I currently drive a 2016 Ford Fusion I’ve got a set of touren TF03 on my fusion the 5x108 17x7.5 with a 40 offset I ran my oem tire size down to the ground finally of 235/50/17 to some 215/45/17 I really like the size I’ve ran it on a few cars but I want to make sure everything is correct and can order the write lowering springs to finalize everything.
  4. I’m looking at trying to upgrade my fusion to include gps navigation. I have Sync with MyFord touch version 3.08. Right now the top right quadrant says “Information”. What I am trying to figure out is if additional hardware is needed or if all I need is some software updates and the maps SD card.
  5. For some reason whenever I have my windows down the a/c will turn on on it’s own, and will not stay off no matter how many times I try to turn it off. Made a video showcasing this bizarreness below:
  6. This is my first post here - thanks for your help. I'm fairly auto-illiterate. I have a 2016 Fusion Hybrid with 35K miles. LOVE the car. No problems at all so far. The owner's manual doesn't give time/mileage estimates for important service. I can't get clear answers anywhere. The auto shop I had been going to was trying to get me to do service that is impossible (Change the fuel filter). Totally trying to cheat me. Have to find a new shop and I'm doubtful if I need the other service that the shop was also trying to get me to pay for: If you can answer this: how often should I get Coolant flush or drain/fill Brake fluid changed Fuel induction kit transmission fluid I know this is a lot to ask, but I want a general idea before I take it to the new shop so I won't be cheated again. Ford Chat told me transmission was at 150K - is there anything needed before that? Another shop I called says they don't even do Fuel induction on the hybrid. The first shop was also trying to get me to do coolant, brake, and fuel induction... Thanks for helping me out.
  7. Hi All, Here's my story: Leased a brand new 2016 Ford Fusion Energi SE. Lease agreement started on February 29th, 2016. Started noticing a moldy smell inside the cabin. The smell even lingered on my clothes after getting out of the car. On March 29th, noticed excessive moisture coming up from underneath the carpeting. On March 30th, brought the car into the local Ford service center. Service center conducted a few tests to find the source of a possible leak. Could not find anything. Service center provided a loaner vehicle on/around April 4th. Service center brought in an engineer from Ford to run some more tests. Still couldn't find anything. Service center received authorization from Ford Motor Company to replace carpeting and molding inside the car. At this point, it's been approx. 3 weeks since I brought the car in (week of April 18th). Later that week, I called Ford Motor Company and expressed my opinion about their solution. If they replace the interior but still can't find a leak, we'll probably have the same issue a month later with the new interior. I reach out to Ford the following week (now the end of April), Ford advises they will review the case and get back to me within 7-10 days. They have to internally discuss whether it's better to proceed with the original solution or to buy the car back from me. After another week, Ford Motor Company agrees to buy my car back (first week of May, approximately) Service center and Ford Motor Company exchange information and misc. paperwork over the course of a few days. Ford Motor Company confirms the refund of my last monthly payment, since I was without my car for over a month at this point. Received paperwork from Ford Reacquired Vehicle Headquarters on Friday, May 13th. Contains a contract that states the following:I'm entitled to any new Ford/Lincoln of equal or greater value. I am responsible for any difference in cost between the MSRP of the old car vs. the MSRP of the new one. I'm responsible for any applicable mileage/usage charges that may apply (obviously, this doesn't apply because the car was only a month old before I brought it back to the service center) I'm responsible for tax on the vehicle upgrade amount, transfer fees, license fees, and other state-mandated fees. As of today, I'm trying to contact Ford RAV to clarify the definition of a transfer fee, license fee, and other state-mandated fees. I have 14 days to respond, or else the offer will expire. The contract is dated May 12th, so I have until May 26th to get back to them. With all that said, do you think I should be responsible for any extra fees incurred due to a buyback/vehicle exchange? Why should I have to pay any "transfer fees", "license fees", or any "other state-mandated fees"? If my brand new car didn't smell like mold, I wouldn't have any of these extra costs. Shouldn't Ford be responsible for those? Also, if I decline the replacement offer, am I entitled to a full refund? I'm not contractually obligated until I sign this contract, so I'm definitely considering other brands before I make a decision. Looking forward to any feedback. Thanks, - Jordan
  8. Hey there, people! I just got my 2016 Titanium last week and am in love with it! I work at the dealership and have been driving these and MKZs for months and finally decided to take the plunge. This is my first new car, coming from a 97 Accord SE, which is the newest car I've ever owned. Because I'm used to mechanical throttles, these DBW cars frustrate me a lot. I invested in the 2.0L because I wanted a sporty commuter car, and because I read I could get the throttle tuned to be more responsive. Because it's a 2016, I don't think many tunes are available yet, so I just thought I'd ask if anyone has any solutions in the meantime. I'd also like to know where to go once someone does release a tune to get one programmed into my car. I know very little about the process except what I've read since studying these Fusions, though I'm very tech-savvy otherwise.
