  1. Hi, I have a 2013 Ford Fusion 2.5L 4-cylinder and the gearbox (automatic) has been giving me hard shifting issues. Changing from 1st to 2nd gear causes a loud thud / hard jerk movement and initiates the error codes P0715, P0717, and sometimes P062A. When driving, it will shift from 1st to 4th gear, however, it has failed to shift gears back down to 1st after coming to a complete stop. The only way to get it back to 1st is to clear these error codes while stopped. Thinking that this is an issue with the input speed sensor like the codes suggest, I hijacked part of the existing pigtail and attached a new 3-pin connector (cost $25), but it did not fix the problem like it did for others. Still get the same code and hardshifting. Here's what I'm still thinking could help: clean all ground connectors of corrosion, inspect all wires coming to and from the PCM for damage, and last resort would be to replace the TCM module. I really don't want to have to rebuild the transmission, and I'll just sell it if so, since it would almost cost the value of the vehicle to rebuild it. Please help me if you have any advice or experience, I'm a novice mechanic! Thanks for your time (Picture: chenged pigtail)
  2. My car sat up for one to two years and I drained the oil and replaced it the battery was dead so I jumped it off and the car started and then shut off with the cables still connected I tried repeatedly to start it back up and it will crank but won’t fire up I’ve seen a lot of different potential issues online from fuel pump/filter to fuel injectors, spark plugs as well as fuses could anyone please give me a good suggestion on where to start/what to fix as I don’t want to replace parts needlessly. If anyone has had an issue similar to this some assistance would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time
  3. I have had an 08 Fusion for several years now, SEL trim with the sport package and V6. I love the car, but one thing I wish I got was the 4 cylinder instead of the 6 for fuel economy. On the same token, I also wish I got the AWD option for poor weather as well. I have a set of snow tires but I still like AWD to prevent getting stuck from a start, and for better wet weather start/stop performance. As I recall, the V6 only came with the AWD option. I've looked at new versions of the Fusion, is that still the case? I would love an I4 with AWD if it was around. Are there plans or rumors of this happening?
