Before traveling for Christmas, I need to take my '06 V6 in for service. I'm at 89,500 miles right now. I need to do the 90k mile service (oil & filter, cabin air filter, change transmission fluid, and the inspections). However, I believe my car is beginning to need spark plugs, so I figured I might as well go ahead and have the 100k service done as well (change plugs & PCV valve and change coolant). I just called the dealer I usually take my car to for maintenance, but the guy I talked to was an idiot. I asked if he could give me an estimate of how much the 90k and 100k services would cost. His response? "Oh we'd have to look at it and see what all it needs; we don't do any of that unless it needs it." WHAT?! :chairshot: Isn't that why it's called PREVENTATIVE maintenance? Anyway, I will definitely be taking it to another dealer, but I was wondering: does anyone have an idea of what I can expect to pay? It's Christmas time and I have yet to go shopping and money is tight as it is, so I don't want to go in too deep. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
