  1. Ok i have a 2015 Fusion Titanium. 79,000 miles. Recently I have been getting 3 or 4 warning alerts at once then they go out. Hill assist, parking assist, ABS light and one other I can’t remember off hand. The dealership has yet to give me an answer on what it could be. I have no info on the car. Purchased it used last year and ain’t had a problem with it. Until now … last night the lights done it again followed by a Tire pressure monitor fault light. any chance anyone can point me in the direction to start this process and get it fixed? Thanks I don’t mind buying parts. But I don’t have the time to chase down the problem. Being it’s not something ford will cover I’ll take it to local mechanic but want to provide as much support as I can to him. Thanks again
  2. 2013 Ford Fusion SE 2.5 FWD My driver rear caliper seized up and I had to replace caliper, pads and rotor as a set. Prior to this issue I had very sensitive and consistent brakes. Upon replacing these items and bleeding the system with a pressure bleeder and using ABS bleed on a scan tool. (Like 8 times now…) The are still spongy and I have only half my brake pedal, unless I quickly double pump at which time I have full braking capacity. No ABS lights or related codes and there is definitely no air in the system. I have ruled out leaks and swollen/damaged brake hoses. All new pads and either replaced or resurfaced rotors as well. Thinking it is either the Master cylinder or the HCU but not sure how to narrow it down form here. Most frustrating, expensive and time consuming issue I’ve ever had on a car. UPDATE Took it for another drive and realizing that I have pedal pulsation at higher speeds with hard than normal braking and a loss of half my pedal. Checked wheel bearings and suspension nothing worn.
  3. Hi. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion. A few days ago the panel that indicates info/stats displayed SERVICE ADVANCETRAC. The ABS and Traction/Stability Control warning lights came on at the same time. This only happened in the mornings, when I start the car and am going under 20mph. It seems like turning sharply would trigger it. Sometimes not though. Sometimes it would pop on randomly.. and then would pop off again. I haven't seen it come on after turning the car on in the afternoon to go home though. I looked around and found someone on reddit posting about the same thing and it scared me. It looks like if I don't get this fixed ASAP I could cause serious financial issues down the road. It's not regarding a Fusion.. but it seems like it would still be applicable. Here is the reddit thread: (please note I just copied part of their reply, this is a discussion between them and another poster) https://www.reddit.com/r/MustangTech/comments/m1nrez/service_advancetrac_i_need_help_this_appeared/ I’ve got that. It’s a traction control or an ABS sensor out. Traction Control I think if I recall correctly. Expensive to fix but please please do it immediately. My girl is a 2010 V6 Convertible and a hand-me-down from my brother who refused to fix her. Two transmissions later and we’re 4k down on a 800 dollar repair if you have someone else do it. I’m unaware of how to fix the sensor, I’m not great at electronics, but it’ll save your transmission and differential. Please jump on that as soon as fucking possible okay? Learn from my pained pony Basically, without that sensor the car no longer has any idea what that wheel is doing. If that wheel slips, the car doesn’t know, but the differential can only handle so much slippage which sends shock up the entire system, because if one wheel slipping causes the other to spin, traction control kicks in on the opposite tyre and the car is no longer proactive with the TCS, it’s reactive and it causes all sorts of issues The vehicle is now in a pseudo-safe-mode that really doesn’t want you toying around anymore until it’s fixed. Again, it’s been so long I cannot 100% confirm if it was TCS or ABS but do it as soon as possible, it’ll save your frankly fragile transmission and a couple grand in repair costs. This all happened when I'm about to take a trip and leave Sunday. The trip is 90 miles one way, mostly freeway. Would it be a horrible mistake to put this off for a week until my trip is over? I do have it lined up to have Tuffy look at it tomorrow morning (my dealership and my local places are all booked a month out). Thanks for any advice and for answer my questions! Sorry I don't know more about this. I tried looking into it but it just confused me more. And I'm stressed and worried now. Thank you again for any help!
  4. Hello everyone, I'm new to this community, not that new to my Fusion. I bought it back in 2011, it´s an 09 Fusion S, automatic, no traction control. I´ve recently wanted to turn off all the warning lights (Engine, ABS, SRS and TPMS), where I'm from there´s no inspection so I didn´t care too much for warning lights unless it was a very serious problem. My Fusion has a code for ABS which is C1095, I spoke to my mechanic and he said that it could be the ABS module or pump itself or a wiring problem. Me, personally, I hope it´s a wiring problem, I checked the pump on my Fusion and the part number is 7e5c-2c346-aa. I checked everywhere and I haven´t seen a new replacement for that part, they´re all used parts. My question is: Can I use another part number for a Fusion with the "Same specs" (FWD, ABS, No Traction Control)? PD: Also where I'm from, Fords usually have wiring problems because of the heat, my transmission wiring went bust like 5 years ago (it was fixed of course). And a funny thing, I saw the fuse number 10 which is for the ABS Valves which is supposed to be a 30AMP fuse, had a 60AMP for some reason (11 years with the car and didn´t notice it).
  5. 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Codes C1014 & C1029 The sound you hear is the electric vacuum pump going on and off. It keeps cycling on and off. At the 10 sec mark, you can hear the click from the abs unit. Do I have a bad pump? Check valve? Vacuum Ieak? Any input appreciated Thanks eaglecleaningservices_video_1584062985550.mp4
  6. Hello, sorry if this question has been asked before and solved. I was driving my car a few weeks ago and I briefly had the "Service ABS", "Service Advancetrac," and "Hill Start Assist Not Available" messages appear and the ABS, Traction Control, and Traction Control OFF lights illuminate. About a mile later, the lights went off. I sort of forgot about it, figured I'd gotten some water somewhere and it worked itself out. Fast forward to yesterday, and I turn the car on in my driveway and all the messages appear and the lights illuminate on startup. I've driven about 150 miles in several trips since then, and the lights persist. I'm thinking that the culprit is probably my wheel speed sensors, does anybody have any other or better ideas? I'm hesitant to take it to my nearest dealership, since I've not had the greatest experiences with their service department in the past. I usually go to the next town over, but that's about 20 miles away, and obviously not very convenient. Any help would be appreciated!
  7. Hi All, I have a 2008 Fusion S with 97,380 miles on it and recently my ABS light has been coming in at startup and intermittently when I brake. This morning the brakes felt shaky and grinded a little when I pulled into my work parking lot. Mind you the front calipers were rebuilt in March and all four rotors and pads replaced. Recently my transmission cooler lines were replaced (that was expensive as all get out) and this is a brand new problem. I have an OBDII scanner and looked for codes but there are no codes in the ECU which makes me think this could possibly be mechanical. Anyone else had issues with their ABS that could provide a little insight?
  8. hey guys i was in Big Bear, CA this past weekend. we were required to put chains on (so i did) all of a sudden the trac control icon, abs, airbag, air pressure sensor, hill assist and check rear back up sensor all came on at the same time. I'm guessing i probably cut a cable somewhere. i took pictures and i jet wanted to make sure I'm getting the right one. i would greatly appreciate all the info i can get from you.
  9. I have a 2009 Fusion 2.3L with 110,000 miles. So far I have had to replace the water pump, belt, idler pulley, tensioner, all motor and transmission mounts and brakes. Now my ABS module has decided to take a dump and I will need to swap it out. I was able to pick one p from a junk yard for 80.00 (new is over 700) but unfortunately these modules need to be programmed to your vehicle. Ford was unable to program the module out of the vehicle before I install it, so I will need to install it first before I drive across town to have it programmed. My question is that if I install the module that is not programmed to my vehicle, will I lose all ability to use my brakes or will I have a spongy petal like I have now? Does anyone have any direct experience with replacing an ABS module?
  10. The ABS light on my 2009 Fusion has been coming on intermittently but longer each time. Dealer diagnosed and replaced ABS control module, but light is still on. He now wants to replace whole computer, expensive as heck. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Car only has 44K miles.
  11. Hello Everyone looking for some ideas to fix an issue..... I have a 2007 Ford Fusion SEL AWD, that was recently sent to a body shop to repair hood, fender, front bumper, headlight radiator assembly and battery... When the car left my house no warning lights were on the dash, I got the car back 4 days later from the bodyshop and pretty much all warning lights are on: Check Engine Light Wrench Symbol Light Traction Control Light ABS LIGHT EBRAKE LIGHT (which stays on regardless if ebrake is up or down) Car was delivered while I was at work, I got home and was very upset, popped the hood and realized they did not plug in the air sensor, which fixed the Check Engine Light. I am convinced they did not plugin something or connect a ground or something like that which is causing the issue. Any ideas? Researching this I found a few issues with other makes (chevy, etc) where the ECM did not have a proper ground and would cause the ABS/Ebrake light to stay on, not sure where to find the ECM or the ECM ground connectors on my car..... Thanks in advance guys....
  12. Hi...a couple of days ago my abs light came on and now it is going on and off. Then starting yesterday when I was coming out of my work parking lot the car wouldn't go. It reved up to 5rpms and stayed at like 10mph. I had to pull over on the side of the road and sit for a bit and then it was just fine. Well it did it again to me today, samething. This time instead of sitting a bit i turned it off (instructed by my husband on the phone) and turned it back on and it went just fine. It is a Ford Fusion 2009 with 40k
