  1. Sounds great; just took it off when I sold my Fusion. Works on any 2010-2012 Ford Fusion with the 3.5L V6 engine. Intake model number: 555-3158. $150 Shipped (lower 48 only)
  2. Hey guys, so a few months ago I ended up with a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL that used to belong to my grandpa. It's basically brand new, only has around 20,000 miles on it. Anyway, I'm familiar with the fact that the little 4 banger can't make a lot of power, but I'm looking to get as much out of it as I can (yes, I've looked into trading it for a V6 Sport from the same model generation, but I can't find one with miles as low as mine lol). I saw that Steeda makes performance parts for the car, and I do actually see my self buying the front strut tower brace from them as it's a pretty good deal, but when I looked at the cold air intake it was like $250! so I started looking for cheaper options and I came across this kit on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BLUE-2006-2012-FORD-FUSION-2-3-2-3L-2-5-2-5L-HEATSHIELD-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-KIT/261368078579?fits=Year%3A2012|Model%3AFusion|Engine+-+Liter_Display%3A2.5L|Make%3AFord&hash=item3cdac060f3:g:I4sAAMXQVERSyPvJ yes, before you say anything I am all too familiar with the reputation Ebay car parts have, but I was just wondering if it worth the price diffference? Is there any possibility that I could use this down the line in tandem with one of those SCT X4 tuners to get more performance out of it? is there really any difference between that kit and a steeda cold air intake beside maybe the quality? they both appear to have heat shields, so how much of a performance difference is there between them? -sidenote, my buddy has a 1999 Pontiac Grand-Am shitbox with a 2.4L and bought a $30 cold air intake from the same seller and hasn't had any issues so far.
  3. I'm ordering now, a 2017 Fusion SE with the 1.5 lt Ecoboost. I was/am planning on doing either a K&N CAI (or Steeda short ram) intake. But, I've also heard good things about an aftermarket "BLOW-OFF Valve". MY MAIN question is, if done together, is the benefit of each cumulative? Meaning, is there any LESS point in doing one if you've already done the other? ALSO is it safe to assume any part listed as for a 2016 1.5lt EB will be compatible on a 2017 1.5lt EB? (as K&N doesn't list a CAI for the 2017 yet but they do for the 2016) Also, someone on another thread here made a strong case for, "save your money" and, rather than CAI, just replace the filter element with a high-flow K&N filter as the factory intake was already built to "ram" the intake, BUT, he was I believe referring to the Fusion SPORT ecoboost. Would the same be apply to the 1.5? Also, what do you guys think about the BLOW-OFF valve replacement (in general) since I've NEVER seen it talked about here, (at least not on a FUSION page) total BS or not? Sorry for the convoluted multiple-question question, and hopefully I'm at least asking on the correct thread... Thanks in advance.
  4. I installed STEEDA CAI and tune on my 2012 Fusion SEL V6 3.0L FWD several months ago. The second time I started the car after loading the tune, the CEL went on. The DTC I got with the SCT X3 3000 tuner is P06B8. I tried returning to stock and reloading the tune, and also contacted SCT to try a recovery file. The code did not go away, and Gus told me that the code other people got after load the tune are different. I used the tuner to clear the code and it did not come back. Gus said it would not hurt the car as long as the code did not come back. I took the car to the dealer for service about a month ago, and the strategy was updated. I waited about 20 days before SCT updated their software to support my car's new strategy. I reinstalled the CAI and 91OCT no insert tune yesterday, and today the CEL went on again. I checked, and the code is the same as before. SCT mentioned that it may be a template problem. My question is whether it hurts the car. I noticed that the shifting was not so smooth.
  5. Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and modding fords I have a 2010 FF SE V6 6spd AT w/ss, so far I have done a Steeda CAI (insert removed), SCT X3 tuner (93 octane custom), Steeda STB, 6000k lows and 6000k fogs. That is it for now, I have had the car for a few months and it runs great. The car changed a lot with the install of the power pack, low & top end pulls are strong and the sound is intoxicating. I ran her against my friends 2013 5.0 last night and it did very well. I have much more planned for this car and will post her progress.

  13. I also bought the tuner to tune the car, tried out 87 W/cai TBS and it is amazing sounds and feels much better and faster! The front strut bar is also VERY worth the money it improves handling immensely especially on making tight turns. This is the insert (sleeve) that you remove IF you have a tune! if you don't have a tune you keep it in! its real easy to take it out, just unscrew and it slides out!
