Hello! I need help and explanation. Please tell me, I need help about the engine and about Ecoboost in general. My be you can advise me something based on experience or true. The thing is: I hit kicked down on my 1.5T Ford Fusion USA. I don't drive like that at all, but the situation required it. I drove to the point, I look in the mirror behind and saw a cloud of blue smoke and it stank of smoke for 3 min inside too. Auto after that approx. I SCREWED off and looked at the spark plugs, they had traveled 44,000 km. Rubbish... I have a video of the cylinders. Then I climbed into the cylinders with the camera and saw something that I did not understand. Apparently there is soot, an oil film. Could YOU please advise what is it? Why? How? Reasons? I have video inside cylinders, but cant download. Now i have: - Mileage: 50 000 miles (86,000 km) - fuel consumption is excellent, highway, from 6 l/100km. -- Oil consumption: 200 grams per 10,000 km. *Use Kendall 5W-20. -Service (changing oil) every 8,000 km. -Petrol: Tesco ""99 Moment"". (EU) 1. I need explanation, why it's had happened? 2. What to do? 3. Do I need clean cylinders? 4. Could it be a cylinder head gasket 5.! I don’t know if this has been done, and it’s only out of desperation and money saving that I’m planning it, but im researching doing a backwards front conversion on my 2012 Fusion SE.ive searched junkyards and pull a parts in 4 states with no luck on a bumper cover or headlights, and i don’t have the dough to purchase a bumper or headlights new. The mounting points for the fenders, hood, radiator core support, and bumper cover all match up, I’m just wondering if anyone has done this before? I’ll try to keep updates of what I’m doing.

Hello, I have a 2015 Ford Fusion SE 1.5L EcoBoost FWD. I was wondering if anyone could give me an explanation of what I'm looking at here and any suggestions where oil might be leaking from. I haven't worked on cars newer than 1999 before and I have never worked on a FWD four cylinder so I have no idea what I'm looking at half the time. I circled a part in green, not sure what it is but I'm guessing it's some kind of vacuum solenoid? I also circled a hose in blue, I believe it is an oil hose and I thought the leak was coming from there but I tightened it and still have a leak. It looks like oil is dripping from the area circled in red, but again I have no clue what I'm looking at. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I have a 2013 Fusion purchased, used from Carmax, about a year ago. Recently noticed that there is some bubbling happening under the paint in several places along the edge of the hood. Spoke with my local Ford dealer and was told this is not under warranty because there is no perforation. Called Ford directly and was told the warranty only applies if there is perforation of the metal, which there is none. My warranty expires in a month and a half, so I am looking to determine what my options are. I have included pics.

Asking a serious question here I bought a 2014 fusion se 2.5 fwd from an auction got a stupid deal on it 100k miles runs great, I want to swap the 2.5 n/a fwd out for the 2.0 ecoboost fwd engine/ecu,harness I seen both se trims look identical inside and out and both engines use the same exact transmission I was wondering how possible is this ? Seems like it should work also what are some other things I may need to keep the car running decent ? I got the car for 1800 bucks so I. Not really try to sell in go buy a car with a 2.0 -

Just bought a 12 Ford Fusion SEL with sony sync and the stereo stopped playing sound. Had to take it to the dealer after 2 car audio guys were unsuccessful to learn the Sony amp has gone out and needs to be replaced. Which they quoted $860. Any recommendations on the cheapest route to just get sound back again? And does anyone know where the DSP amp is located?

So... Love the FFH but as its getting older I've run into an annoying thing... This was second time I brought my FFH into ford around the same time of the year 1 year apart.. I follow the normal oil change guide regarding how much time or mileage between changes as well as watching the oil quality sensor. Well, in the spring I've gotten this power sucking feeling after I've stopped the vehicle after driving it for a long period of time. It will throw a light but still drives okay. just very under powered. If I wait over night the power suck is gone until the long drive, turned off for a period then starting it up again the issue returns. So they replaced the sensor and did an oil change like last time and no issues.. This time around the oil quality gauge said it was at 83% and my oil change sticker said I was 1 month out till the next change... Anybody else experience this as well? The dealer says I need to get an oil change more frequent the the every 6 months I've been doing. -

Hi I’m new to this forum but I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SE that has multiple water leaks. The first is a leak on either side of the trunk where the jack trays are I’ve noticed that when it rains water collects in these areas. I’ve sealed some of the parts where the clips go through with silicone and it seems to have helped just wondering if this is a common issue on these cars. Also I’m waiting on a new sunroof as the seal has a gap and rusted the frame; I used some silicone on that as well to keep most water out until I can replace it (hard to get replacement with virus right now). The headliner only gets wet on the drivers side corner, however driving home today water started dripping out of the sunglass holder but the headliner in the middle is perfectly dry... would that be part of the sunroof issue? Or a possible issue with the windshield seal? The drains are also working by the way. Sorry for the long post I’m just hoping I can get this figured out any help is appreciated. Thanks -
I have a 2014 Ford Fusion with the 1.5 ecoboost motor. I’m having a little trouble with it though. Check engine light came on and the code is a P0301 (misfire in cylinder 1). But the car drives just fine, it only sounds weird when I start it when the engine is cold. On a cold start it sputters a little bit and idles weird, but then calms down and idles regularly after about 30-60 seconds. I originally thought this was a spark plug issue or an ignition coil problem, but I am not sure now. Any thoughts?

I'm looking to replace on of my vent in the center. I'm having problems getting the storage unit out. After I unscrewed the two screws on top. There is still something in the middle i cannot get to. I do not want to just rip it out nor cut anything. I read somewhere their is a screw near the driver side foot. But I can't find it. If you know please post a picture of where it is if you can. Or a great description. Thank you.

Hi all.i.need some.help. jus got another fusion cuz it was too.good.of a.deal.but its been a pita. My.fuel pump runs constantly koeo and it causing it not to start. No cel an i.dont.know where to.start ive replaced fuel.pump. fuel.pump.relay. just need a diagram of the fuel.pump wires. The 4 wires that connect to.it -
My 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium shows a message on the left screen saying “check rear park aid” the car is a salvage title with rear damage. The car was fix when I bought it but the message still there, the rear sensors works because when I go into reverse it detects a car passing by, by a a message on the left screen saying “vehicle coming from left” or “right”. And in settings it won’t let me choose the option “rear park aid” Maybe a park sensor out of the 4 doesn’t work or how can I check if any of the 4 sensors works? I upload images for information -

Last summer, I decided I wanted to put (kind of) stock trunk deck subwoofers in my 2006 Fusion SEL. I found a wiring diagram explaining where everything went and we (my dad and I) followed that wiring diagram. Instead of using stock subwoofers for the Fusion generation (2006-2009), I found two subwoofers, Sony, from a 2011 Fusion, same size as the stock ones, 6x9. I couldn't find any stock subwoofers (Audiophile) anywhere. But we used the stock amplifier from the 2006-2009 generation. Before all this, I bought a 2008 Mercury Milan Navigation unit, so it had the 8-pin connection for the amplifier on the back ready to go unlike the unit I had before. I went to a local junkyard and got the connections for the Navigation unit and connections for the actual amp. I bought, one of two, amplifiers on eBay. We followed the diagram exactly, connected the power wire to the fuse box and nothing. We're certain the subs work because we tested them beforehand. After that, I just quit because I thought it was the amplifier, so last week, I bought another one and the same thing, nothing worked. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be that we mixed subwoofers from a 2011 Fusion with an amp from a 2009 Fusion? Also, does anyone know what "Enable CUP" means on the diagram, the VIO/RED one going to the amp? I inserted the wiring diagram.

Hello all, I have spent a couple hours trying to find the Fuel Filter part number and location on my 2013 EcoBoost fusion. Does anyone know the part I need and the location of the filter? Part is nowhere to be found on the Ford parts catalog. I saw some videos on YouTube for the location but all of them where different engines to mine so I'm not sure. Also, I found a motorcraft PN on Autozone but Ford's catalog says that part number is not for my car. Please let me know if you need more info. Thank you. -
I have a 2011 Ford Fusion & this is what I'm experiencing. I removed the little trunk rectangular dome light to replace the factory bulb with a spare LED bulb that I had so it would be brighter. The domelight did arc some while removing it from part of the bulb connector touching the metal part of my car. The LED bulb stopped working. I put the factory bulb back in & it didn't light up. The 2 map lights in the front of my car only come on when I open the door or rotate the dimmer up. They wont turn on with the black push button. The rear map lights won't come on at all. I checked the #9 15 amp fuse & it was fine. Did I blow another fuse? Not sure what the issue is or if the LED bulbs aren't compatible with my car. I trie LED bulb in the front map light fixture. No such luck with them. Do I need a load resistor?

Hello, last November I got into an accident and had to replace my left rear door, I had a shop replace the door with an OEM door I sourced from a wrecked vehicle. After it was fixed he informed me he could not get the window to roll down in the time he had it, I said I would deal with it myself. Recently bought a 2015 ford fusion. It's a 4 cylinder 2.5L. I'm not a mechanic by any means and not very car savvy. Anyways is it normal to have a slight knocking noise with the Fusion's? My car has low miles and never has been in an accident.

Okay, I need help once again! I keep putting off fixing my subwoofers because I just give up, they're just sitting there in the car deck doing nothing. I have a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL. I've ran all the proper wires from the radio and the power wire from the fuse box (which does have power, we checked) according to the wiring diagram. I did get a Ford navigation head unit last year that supports an amplifier. For my amplifier, I'm using a stock one from a 2009 Fusion (Audiophile). For subwoofers, I'm using Sony ones from a 2011 Fusion. And nothing is working for some reason, no sound at all! Do I need to get a Sony amplifier from a Fusion? I inserted the wiring diagram, if needed. I appreciate any help given!

2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6 - 128,000 miles I got off work today and when heading home I had to pass someone, so when doing that I noticed when decelerating my RPM's would jump down really fast, IMG_5704.TRIM.MOV . So I pulled over and restarted my engine which I wasn't sure if that would help. And when accelerating I noticed when the vehicle shifted, it would shift fast and I could feel the shifts a little more than usual, IMG_5705.TRIM 2.MOV . I also notice when going around 40 mph the RPM's would be right under 1,000 RPM's so when I'd try to accelerate the vehicle would jump a little. ALSO, when I was stopped at a stoplight, I noticed the RPM's were around 600, which I think is much lower than usual. The car just doesn't feel like its usual self. Should I take it into the Ford dealer to maybe reset the computer for the transmission?

When reviewing Ford's website awhile back, I realized they updated the Edge and are now calling the Sport model, the Edge ST. What's the difference between a Sport and a ST? I know ST stands for Sport Technology. I thought maybe the Sport packages on Ford's were just a bigger engine and visually sportier inside and out and the ST were the same but had sportier tuned suspension and better brakes but the Explorer Sport has a different tuned suspension. I'm talking about across the board of Ford vehicles, not just the Edge.

I have a 2006 Fusion SEL and lately I've been having trouble using the remote start. Usually, when it does work, I hold down the button and the horn chirps twice and then starts right up. Now that it's winter, it just chirps once and doesn't do anything at all. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the car battery because the car battery is 6-7 years old.
