I leased a 2014 Ford Fusion a few weeks ago and purchased a Ford Remote Starter to have it installed by the dealer's installer. After I got the car home and was reading through the manual, I noticed that there may be menu options for the remote starters on the in-dash convenience menus. However, these menus are not available if the remote starter is installed after the car leaves the factory. Even if the remote starter is a Ford Remote Starter with a Ford Part #. This seems silly to me. I think it should be as simple as adding an update to an android (or windows) phone. Add new hardware, install app. Seems simple. Ford service (via twitter.com/fordservice ) advises me that this is just the way it is supposed to be... They did suggest I create an entry on their social page and try to drum up support for my position. And I have done this. Any chance I can get the support of the folks here, whether you have the remote starter or not, please click here and give me a thumbs up to support my idea. I have recently joined this forum as I just became an owner of an 07 fusion a couple of months ago. I had a CD6 audiophile that was in the car from factory, now the radio when i bought the car had the Mobile Ease Bluetooth and Ipod connector already installed. At first the display on the radio was dim as many of us have seen a problem with. That was the first thing I fixed, then I noticed the buttons on the radio did not light up when you turned on the headlight switch was activated. Next I noticed that the speed sensitive volume did absolutely nothing no matter what setting you had it on. First thing I did was let Ford plug it up to the IDS and reprogram the "As built Data" back into the radio. To no avail...... If you have ever run a test on your CD6 to see if you have any error codes please do so. Click FM button Press 3 and 6 at the same time press 2 if codes are found press the arrow up on the top right corner of the radio to review codes my code was a U1900 com bus error This is saying that the radio has no communication with the CAN Bus system in the car. This is why Ford could not program it, bc it had no way to communicate to receive any programming. I have made two videos of how I resolved my issue with this. However if you are experiencing any of these issues, I have heard that the 06 CD6 radios did not use CAN bus they were old school hard wiring (not a network that communicates to radio) Now wether or not this is true I do not know. The only thing I know is that my CD6 was manufacturered in Aug of 2006..... read into how you will. My CD6 does require the CAN Bus system.. I'll post some pics of my fix for the dim display and also post the links to my videos on fixing the back light. Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some help with this problem here, keep in mind i drive a 2008 Lincoln MKZ and not an actual fusion sport. However these cars are almost identical as far as engine and exhaust setup goes. About 6 months ago I got Magnaflow #11225 mufflers and had the shops fill in the blanks. By fill in the blanks I mean they welded the stock tips back on and did a second resonator delete. The exhaust sounds good but I feel like it is too quiet in the high RPM range (above 3000), just a little bit louder than stock. However, in the lower ranges its just right (almost a little loud) much louder than stock. I realized that in welding the stock tips on, the pipe diameter after the muffler outlet just before the tip went from 2.25"(muffler outlet diameter) back to a 2.00" (the stock pipe diameter) then out through the 3" stock tip. I was just wondering if I increased that pipe size, after the muffler but before the tip and put new tips on with an inlet of 2.25" instead of the stock tips which have an inlet of 2.00", would it help with my problem. Would it make the low RPMs louder and not do anything for the high RPMs? Or the other way around? Or make both louder? If you guys think it wouldn't be worth the money then let me know that too! Hello. I'm getting ready to swap the oil and filter in my wife's new 2013 Ford Fusion and was just wondering if there's anything special I need to be aware of? I know I'll have to reset the oil life monitor but that seems easy via the LCD, but is there anything else? Thanks. -

Hi, I have a 2007 ford fusion. My front driver's side window got stuck in the down position. It only gets stuck when the window goes all the way down. Other then that it will go up and down. Whats wrong? Thanks for the help

Found this while reading up on some options I didn't realize I had in my own car. Edmunds seems to suggest the same thing that I 'felt' after driving 3 other mid-size cars(Honda S, Passat, Sonata) to compare then getting into the Fusion. It handles the best and 'feels' the road best. Hey everyone, this past September I had the privelege of purchasing a new to me 2011 Ford Fusion SEL. When it first came out I was definitely in love with it, but I never expected to be able to get one as soon as I did. Unfortunately my last car (1993 Eagle Vision Tsi) had the transmission go out at 46,000 miles(not a typo), which forced my hand into getting a new vehicle, little did I expect this to even be an option for me. I was happy about getting my parents 2001 Jeep Cherokee, then this opportunity came along... But enough sappy backstory, this car is great! It has leather heated seats, heated mirrors, SYNC, steering wheel controls, pretty much everything but a sunroof, NAV, and a spoiler. Its a 4 cylinder car, which is great for gas, but its not as athletic as a 3.0L I tested out. The main reason I joined the forum is to figure out ways to better the performance and appearance of my Fusion, which I've affectionately named "The Predator". Through roaming the site I already plan on: Changing the headlights to HID LED Puddle Lights, Turn signals, Reverse Lights, License Plate Changing the lower turn signal to a clear lens instead of amber Adding a Spoiler Stripping the stock sound system and adding in all new aftermarket products Maybe Plastidip Grill and Tail lights (Smoke color) Ive attached a couple pictures, and Im open to any advice, insight or ideas about how to improve my Fusion. Im mechanically inclined to a certain extent, Im not so great with electrical (working on it)and my experience with a rattle can is pretty good thus far; so most of the work I plan on doing will be performed by yours truly. I look forward to learning as much as possible, Thanks
