  1. Hey everyone, I am new to this forum stuff but I figured I'd message you all and see what you know... My 2013 Ford Fusion 1.6L ecoboost is making a ticking/knocking noise at idle. You can really hear it while at a complete stop and in gear. In park you hear it as well but not as loud.. SAYING THAT, the noise is easily heard more inside of the vehicle than outside. I made a video and posted on YouTube for you all to see... any ideas??? Any help is appreciated. WATCH THE VIDEO!!
  2. Hey all, I have a 07 fusion with digital fan speed control that would work when the wires were moved around down there. Shortly after it stopped working all together. I replaced my resistor, pigtail, and blower motor about 6 months ago after the same thing happened. This time around it seems to soon for the same problem. Any ideas on what else could be going wrong? I was reading other posts and thought I could have wired the pigtail in wrong. These pics are what burnt out.
  3. My 2008 Fusion's parking break button has popped out. I can, if I play with it, put it back temporarily and make it work. Is there an easy fix? The spring is still intact. Thanks
  4. Hello, im new to this forum so please excuse my non-complete profile. Anyway, I just bought a used 2015 Ford Fusion SE with 31,000 miles. I have had no issues so far, but just today I put the key in the ignition turned it over and it didn't start right away. I let go for about three seconds and it started up after turning the key. It happened twice in one day, but every time I turn the car off and then start it back up it is fine in succession. I hope it's not the fuel pump or something costly. I just recently got the car on September 7th, at a certified Ford Dealer, and I'm concerned that there is something wrong already. Please someone end my madness!
  5. Hey everyone, I have a 2013 Ford Fusion SE Ecoboost, 1.6L - I bought the car from CarMax early April with 34,0XX miles on it. I've put on 3,100 miles on it in that time period and I had the wrench + check engine light come on. Here's the story below: So I was driving last night, heading to the gym. I was going about 35-40 MPH and all of a sudden I feel like I driving on a very light bumpy road. I disregarded it and kept driving then a few seconds later, here comes this yellow wrench light and the message "read owners manual". As all that came on I noticed the RPM's staggering between 1000 and 2000 and I could definitely tell it went into limp mode as I drifted into the gym parking lot. I park, turn the car off. Then turn it back on, and weirdly, the icon was gone. After I was done in the gym I started it back up and had no problems. Drove home fine. Fast forward about 23 hours and again, I'm leaving to go to the gym. So I get in my car, turn it on, and there's the wrench icon. I didn't want to risk anything so I slowly backed it out of my driveway so I could get my backup car (PT Cruiser, lol). When I get home to put the Fusion back in the drive way I noticed the Check Engine light pop up. Has anyone gone through this? The manual said it was the powertrain but what could've happened to it? I've only put 3000 miles on it since I got the Fusion in April of 17'! I have an extended warranty so I'm covered either way but I'm confused on why it's acting up! Thanks
  6. I am currently selling my BARELY used Cobb AccessPort. I tuned my 2014 Ford Fusion 2.0 EcoBoost for one day, and uninstalled the tune, and its been in the case ever since. There is nothing wrong with it at all, just would rather sell it to someone that would actually use it then have it sit in my dresser. I had only tuned my car for the day mainly out of curiousity, then had to get it serviced ( which is why I uninstalled the tune) just in case you know? and just really never messed with it since for some reason. ** This AccessPort is unmarried** Comes with all accessories I am asking $350. I purchased it for $500 on Mountune's site, and think that is a real reasonable price for how much its been used. Throw me some offers though, the worst I can say is No And I just realized all pictures are horizontal and Im sorry haha
  7. I'm very confused about how many speakers I have in my 2006 Ford Fusion SEL. I've noticed that car reviews online have said that the car comes with 6 speakers, but in my car I think I have 8. I have 1 on each door (4) then 2 tweeters on the front doors (2) and 2 in the back part, above the trunk... so my math tells me 8 speakers. Maybe tweeters aren't considered speakers. I don't know?
  8. Ran the OBD and it threw thelse codes: Any help as to what might be the problem?
  9. While shifting through gears 1st - 3rd there is no issues. When the vehicle attempts to engage the 4th gear, the engine revs up a bit, but it is not excessive revving, feels like computer rev matching. During this time, there is no slippage, no grinding, no other notable or noticeable problems. The gear simply does not engage. After a few moments (3-5 seconds) it feels as though the computer recognizes a fault, and attempts to engage the last known working gear... Which unfortunately is often 2nd gear as it seems the computer will skip 3rd gear depending on acceleration applied. This causes a jolt, but feels normal for an automatic getting dropped into a lower gear while going a high speed for that gear. After some looking around, I read somewhere that it's possible this was a problem with one of the solenoids. I was curious if anyone else has had this problem, and what they did for a fix. I broke the vehicle down where needed to get into the solenoid valve body area. All I am waiting on is to replace them, but I didn't want to make a purchase if someone else was to say "WAIT, I DID THIS AND IT WORKED". Call me a rookie, I deserve it -- but when I went to drain the transmission fluid It was nasty, and smelled terrible. Could this cause an otherwise operable solenoid to temporarily malfunction? Here is the eBay page showing the solenoids I'm looking at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/132018268320?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true
  10. Anyone know of any aftermarket Remote Start options for 2017 Ford Fusion? Viper looks like a good choice.
  11. Hi I need help. I have ford fusion titanium 2013. Yesterday my car's bettery was dead so, I called my friend to boost bettery with booster cable. I don't know what had happen to my music system after that my touch screen is working only for navigation and climate control. I cannot access to music and there is no voice in speakers aswell. Can please anyone help me with this. My car is out of warrenty now. Is there any way I can correct this issue ? Thank you.
  12. Had to get the Windshield replaced due to a factory defect in the glass lamination right in drivers view on my 2017 Fusion Platinum... Will follow up with after pictures.
  13. Hello everyone, this is my first post on here because I am having an issue diagnosing an ac problem on my girls car. 2011 fusion se 4 cyl manual climate controls. The a/c was intermittent for awhile working only sometimes. Not the only time it will work is if I adjust the temperature knob to hot and then back to cold, It then will only work for about 15 seconds before turning to hot again. I have checked the freon and the system is charged. The compressor clutch is also engaging. I have seen this problem in some topics on here but no one has given an answer as to what the problem was. I am assuming by process of elimination that either the blend door actuator or the control module has gone bad... Any one have any ideas or experience with this
  14. Just purchased my very first Ford Fusion. It's a 2017 Platinum model. Ordered it over 3 months ago, long wait from the factory but wow... Was it worth the wait. Previously I have a 2015 Ford Focus, traded it in as it was too small.
  15. Hey guys have a 07 fusion 2.3L with a manual transmission at 170k miles. So this started about a week ago, when I push my clutch in to shift it starts to make this squealing sound. When my foot is off the clutch there is no sound. I haven't had any problems shifting since it has happened. I checked my clutch fluid and its full and looks clean. I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this or does anyone know what it might be? Tyler
  16. Hey all, So, I am having some odd vibration and clicking sounds in my 2010 Fusion and hopefully someone can shed some light. I have a 2010 fusion with about 100,000 miles on it. For about a week or so now, every time i turned left or right (mostly all the way), I would hear an almost clicking like sound coming from the front as i would drive off. Once I straightened out, the sound went away. I do not notice it any time after that. Yesterday though when i was driving down I75, my car would start to like shake or like be bumpy, or like a thumping sound, (not sure how to describe it) if i turned my steering wheel ever so slightly to the right, in one specific spot actually. If I kept it a straight, turned left or moved the wheel left, it would go away. Actually it would go away if i turned or moved the steering wheel even more to the right, there was this spot that if ever just touched my wheel right it would like vibrate and almost feel like a bumpy road. It would be worse at faster speeds. Do not really notice it in city driving. Has anyone experienced this? Are the two matters related? Sorry for the terrible description, but I don't know how to better describe it. Any advice or input it always appreciated.
  17. Just purchased a 2010 Fusion SEL 3.0 FWD with only 7100 miles. I won't disclose actual price but it was south of 14k. Leather, sunroof, automatic w select shift, sony audio package with SYNC, all power, dual exhaust, rear spoiler, non navigation stereo. This cat was sold to an 80 year old in 2010 brand new for 28k. She drove it home and parked it in her garage only drive to the hair salon, grocery, and church. She passed away Aug '15, RIP, and her daughter settled the estate. Lucky local ad troling turned up this deal, KBB and NADA value close to 17K. All stock. Looking for ideas and on reliable, smart upgrades. Aesthetically and performance. Starting with window tint, possible plasti dip (black) grill to preserve chrome, and Thule roof rack with cargo basket for travel. Thanks! Glad to be part of the Fusion family.
  18. It is a 2010 ford fusion hyrbid. I've gotten behind the radio and found the harness but I'm not sure which wires to tap into for the LOC. I have pictures of the harness if that helps at all.
  19. I need a wiring diagram for an auto dimming rear-view mirror on a 2012 ford fusion SEL. I’m planning on installing a new backup mirror. I figure Blue wire for 12v+ and a black/yellow for 12v-. I also have green which I assume is ground. But I have two blue/light blue wire I don’t know about. I could really use some help. And to be clear the mirrors only feature is auto dimming nothing else. I’ve included pics. Also if anybody can give me the name of 16 pin connector that would be awesome.
  20. I suppose this isn't really a welcome as I've been on the forums for quite a while, posting questions and all. However this will be my official intro to the group, as I now own a Ford Fusion 2014 Titanium and it's amazing. It's my first time owning a Fusion and so far I'm loving every bit of it.
  21. I'm kind of in a big pickle here: In about a month and a half to two months, I'll be pulling the trigger on buying myself one of these beauts, however I'm kinda stuck in between two cars from two different dealerships, so I'm here asking for a little input from others. Both Cars are Ford Fusion 2012 Sports. Car A: This car has about 83k miles on it, and is all wheel drive. It also has pretty much all the major features that comes in a fusion of that particular year, the 2012 model, including the Navi. It even comes with a remote start! That really saves me the trouble of going to get it installed later. So yes, this car is a very nice looking car with all the bells and whistles. It costs about $14k with taxes and everything included, and it's being sold right in my home city. The bad part about the car is that it doesn't have any warranties, and the potentially crucial 83k miles on it. Car B: This car has about 43k miles on it, and is not AWD. It has nearly every feature of Car A, save for the Navi, but it does keep the reverse cam and BLIS. It doesn't have the remote start either, but again can be installed later with the tracking device I plan to put into it(can never be too sure). I can do without the Navi system as I do have a smart phone, but again it's always a nice add-on. The car is priced at about 17k after all the taxes and whatnot. This car also comes with a 1 year warranty from the dealership as its CPO'd and it comes with a 7 year power train warranty. The only thing is that the price of the car will mean I would have to hold off on any custom installations until after I can pay off the car some. It's also about 1.5 hours away from me. I know that 1.5-2 months could be a long time from now, and that cars like Car A could be purchased easily(however I have a feeling that many people will be spending their money on Christmas gifts rather than cars, unless the car would be considered the gift lol). Which car would sound like a smarter choice to make? Thanks for the help everyone!
  22. Hey there, So today there were killer rain and flash floods here in Deep South Texas. I was driving home and was pulling out of a walgreens parking lot and drove into deeper water than i thought there was. I heard a scrape and watched the water splash. I drove a little bit further and all of a sudden i hear a thud and look behind me and see that my driver side wheel well /fender cover is ripped off as well as long skinny guard that is directly connected to the bumper. (I have had some body issues and that little skinny part was already breaking off. ) All of a sudden i got the wrench light and the check engine light. I got home and let the car sit for a bit (10-15 minutes) and then went out there with my little bluetooth OBD2 reader. I read the code and it comes up as P0713 - transmission fluid temperature sensor circuit high input . The check engine light is still on but the wrench light has since gone away. Does anyone what may have cause this? I would like to fix this myself it is simple (praying) or would i be able to drive it to the dealer. I was like a quarter mile from when it happened to my house but that drive back, i did not notice any sort of issues or clunking or anything. I am scouring the internet, but cannot come up with anything. It is now dark so i cannot go check it out further but will be doing that tomorrow if it is dry enough
  23. From the album: 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium

It rained for 2 days after I bought this car, can't even roll down the windows to enjoy the cruise.
