  1. I have an issue with my Ford Fusion 2010 3.0 V6 awd130k miles. The car is stumbling at low speeds under light acceleration ( it seems like there is something holding her back and it is very jerky) and on occasions the cars shakes like crazy and it even stalls. Also i am experiencing cranking issue only when the car sits overnight. On the freeway it runs great. I had the transmission and torque converter rebuilt (since then i am getting worse fuel economy)and a new fuel pump put in ( ever since i changed it i am getting a calculated lower fuel range), MAF sensor cleaned and a new battery. I am not sure what to do as there are no codes and no CEL. thank you
  2. Hi I’m new to this forum but I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SE that has multiple water leaks. The first is a leak on either side of the trunk where the jack trays are I’ve noticed that when it rains water collects in these areas. I’ve sealed some of the parts where the clips go through with silicone and it seems to have helped just wondering if this is a common issue on these cars. Also I’m waiting on a new sunroof as the seal has a gap and rusted the frame; I used some silicone on that as well to keep most water out until I can replace it (hard to get replacement with virus right now). The headliner only gets wet on the drivers side corner, however driving home today water started dripping out of the sunglass holder but the headliner in the middle is perfectly dry... would that be part of the sunroof issue? Or a possible issue with the windshield seal? The drains are also working by the way. Sorry for the long post I’m just hoping I can get this figured out any help is appreciated. Thanks
  3. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion with the 1.5 ecoboost motor. I’m having a little trouble with it though. Check engine light came on and the code is a P0301 (misfire in cylinder 1). But the car drives just fine, it only sounds weird when I start it when the engine is cold. On a cold start it sputters a little bit and idles weird, but then calms down and idles regularly after about 30-60 seconds. I originally thought this was a spark plug issue or an ignition coil problem, but I am not sure now. Any thoughts?
  4. I'm looking into a 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid that was previously a government vehicle and only has 28,000 miles on it. Right now it's currently priced at 9700 and I might throw them an offer for $8000. The photos of the exterior, interior, and engine all look super clean. The low miles are the main attraction here, but if it's sat for extended periods of time I wonder how the hybrid battery is holding up, and I'm not sure if purchasing a model this old is a good idea. The dealer doesn't sell many hybrids and can't offer much information about the battery. Given the current circumstances with COVID-19, I haven't seen it in person yet and I'm only going to travel somewhere to test and inspect a car if the dealer is interested in my offer. I've also been looking at other Fusion Hybrids, as well as Ford C-Max, Prius, Sonata Hybrids, and Chevy Volts (which are too small in the back), Any feedback is appreciated!
  5. My volume know will turn but it’s knot working, i can only change the volume un and down with the steering wheel controls, do I need to change the whole stereo unit? IMG_3110.MOV
  6. So my 2010 Ford Fusion will shake when i am at a stop but as soon as i give it gas it will be fine. Only happens when it is in drive or Reverse and i have the brake pressed down. I have changed the Spark plugs, Valve cover gasket, Belt drive and pulleys and nothing it still shakes. Could someone help please it shakes the steering wheel and interior. It doesn't shake while stopping it only shakes when at a complete stop. Also The car makes a weird rattle noise when i accelerate too hard usually at about 1800- 2300 RPM but only in first and third gear. Please help.
  7. So I just got this car like a week ago.. I bought it used from a dealership. I was sitting in my car last night and I noticed that it started making this sound and I'm not sure what it is. At first I thought it was the CD player trying to eject my phone mount because it goes into the CD player partially but then even upon removing it, it continued and I also don't think that it would explain the rear speaker making that loud popping noise. The video is only 2 seconds long but it does this repeatedly over and over and over. I was sitting in my car for a good 20 minutes just listening to this sound and then I finally got annoyed and turned my car back on to stop the sounds. Does anyone have any ideas? 9. My 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium shows a message on the left screen saying “check rear park aid” the car is a salvage title with rear damage. The car was fix when I bought it but the message still there, the rear sensors works because when I go into reverse it detects a car passing by, by a a message on the left screen saying “vehicle coming from left” or “right”. And in settings it won’t let me choose the option “rear park aid” Maybe a park sensor out of the 4 doesn’t work or how can I check if any of the 4 sensors works? I upload images for information
  10. Please help...My Ford Fusion was fine music was playing then all of a sudden all 4 door speakers don’t play. Back up camera noise doesn’t work and the door sensors Sound doesn’t work but the subwoofer in the back is playing sound . I tried to change the fuses and i did a Master reset and that did not work. So I took it to ford and they told me 135 just to diagnose it. I ended up leaving to see if i could figure it out. Any suggestions???
  11. I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium new and currently have 2200 miles on it. It has developed a noisy rattle/buzz in the drivers side door. I can tap on the soft touch portion of the door above the interior latch (from door lock almost to the front) and hear it buzz. I took it to dealers and explained, they said they fixed it 'per ford specs' and said a clip was loose. Driving home it was doing the exact same thing. Strange thing is on the passenger side, when you tap the same area it sounds solid and makes no noise. Drivers side sounds hollow behind the soft touch panel. Is there some sound deadening material behind there that maybe was overlooked? Vibrations are heard when certain notes are played on stereo (I dont crank the bass!). Looking for anyone else with similar issue or hoping someone from Ford actually reads this and cares about customer satisfaction. Thanks! G
  12. Hello, very new here. Wife’s 15 Fusion popped a CEL and the code was p0299 (underboost). Shop said they traced it to map sensor (?) and said it was inoperative due to oil build up on it and recommended replacing it. Anyway they replaced it and code is still present and more oil is leaking from turbo. Has anyone else had an issue like this and know what might be going on? They’re recommending replacing the whole turbo assembly which is going to end up being a $2500 job. Any insight is much appreciated!
  13. Hello. I have a 2007 Fusion 2.3L manual 5spd that i have recently replaced the engine. The engine is an "early build(cartridge style oil filter, non-California)". I was told it was out of a 2009 Milan with only approx 105k miles. I have had no issues except for an occasional stall when coming to a stop, but recently discovered it to be an oil burner. It uses about 1qt every couple of days and i only drive about 20mi/day. I did a Compression test that revealed the lowest cylinder to have 157psi of compression. Im considering PCV failure to be the culprit. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
  14. Yesterday my 2013 Ford Fusion's sync dropped my phone's blue tooth connection. It would not sync back up. I then deleted the device, reset the radio to the factory default. I had to do that before to get it to work. It will now not let me add my phone back. As soon as I click ok to start the pairing. I get a message back on my head unit that says. Pairing failed. Any suggestions?
  15. I’ m looking to do a flush fill on my ‘11 Fusion SE. 4 cyl. From what I’ve read is that it’s not hard to do. Any tips or help would be appreciated. I’ve never done this before & would like to do it myself versus paying a high price at the dealer.. The pic is what I’ve purchased.

  17. I just joined your forum and this is my first post. My apology if this has been covered in prior topics. Without any signs of any key fob low battery issues, my Intelligent Access Key fob will no longer lock/unlock door or start my car. I have replaced batteries in the original and spare key fob and the same condition exists. I am currently starting my car by placing the key in the back up slot located in the console. My local dealership service department is baffled and so far I haven't been able to find an online explaination. Additionally, while I am not sure it is related, at the same time as key fob issue occurred, the Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) malfunction indicatior illuminated (checked Tire Pressure and they are fine). Thank you for offering any suggestions I can do before having it troubleshoot by the dealership. Sincere regards, Jim
  18. Last summer, I decided I wanted to put (kind of) stock trunk deck subwoofers in my 2006 Fusion SEL. I found a wiring diagram explaining where everything went and we (my dad and I) followed that wiring diagram. Instead of using stock subwoofers for the Fusion generation (2006-2009), I found two subwoofers, Sony, from a 2011 Fusion, same size as the stock ones, 6x9. I couldn't find any stock subwoofers (Audiophile) anywhere. But we used the stock amplifier from the 2006-2009 generation. Before all this, I bought a 2008 Mercury Milan Navigation unit, so it had the 8-pin connection for the amplifier on the back ready to go unlike the unit I had before. I went to a local junkyard and got the connections for the Navigation unit and connections for the actual amp. I bought, one of two, amplifiers on eBay. We followed the diagram exactly, connected the power wire to the fuse box and nothing. We're certain the subs work because we tested them beforehand. After that, I just quit because I thought it was the amplifier, so last week, I bought another one and the same thing, nothing worked. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be that we mixed subwoofers from a 2011 Fusion with an amp from a 2009 Fusion? Also, does anyone know what "Enable CUP" means on the diagram, the VIO/RED one going to the amp? I inserted the wiring diagram.
  19. Occasionally, my 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 23,000 miles will have a loud squeak (like the noise from the wiper motor shaft turning inside a rubber seal boot) with each stroke of the Driver's side Wiper Blade. It seems to be coming from the windshield, but I believe the noise is simply reflecting off of the windshield, because the wiper blade does not chatter on the glass. I have installed a brand new wiper blade without improving the occasional problem. I can find no reference to a similar problem by using the internet ... and of course it never happens when I'm visiting the dealership. Has anyone encountered a similar symptom .......... and knows how to fix it?
  20. Hey guys and gals! Need some advice on removing my auto trans cooler lines, purchased the quick disconnect tools from harbor freight, autozone, and rented the kit from autozone. Nothing is fitting and releasing the quick disconnect. Anyone have any idea where to purchase the exact tool or tips on removing them? Please let me know!
  21. So I have a 2013 Ford fusion SE Ecoboost 1.6L. it has 45,000 miles on it (so no warranty) and my CEL came on. I had brought it to O'Reillys and I got the P144c code, but I had to bring it to a mechanic anyways to make sure for the diagnostic (i hated to pay $85 just to run a dumb computer). Surely enough, it was the same P144c code that I had read online, being that the EVAP purge valve needed to be changed. They told me that the purgevalve was sticking and I wanted to try to change it myself so that I wouldnt have to pay the $200 in labor. If anyone could help me out/know where this valve is, that would be great. I'm not even sure where this valve is since there isn't much info on the 2013 Fusions, only the older ones. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    New Guy

New to this forum and new to my fusion. I picked up this 2011 Sport in gorgeous white after searching for an 11 or 12 sport. Looking to do some upgrades, lighting, cold air intake, etc in the near future.
  23. Hello everybody, long time lurker, first time poster. Out of curiosity does anybody know of any aftermarket cams that would fit the duratec 3.0? If it means anything my fusion is a 2006. I've already tuned, intake, and exhaust and I was just going to see if there was more I can do. Thanks!
  24. Hello all, I have spent a couple hours trying to find the Fuel Filter part number and location on my 2013 EcoBoost fusion. Does anyone know the part I need and the location of the filter? Part is nowhere to be found on the Ford parts catalog. I saw some videos on YouTube for the location but all of them where different engines to mine so I'm not sure. Also, I found a motorcraft PN on Autozone but Ford's catalog says that part number is not for my car. Please let me know if you need more info. Thank you.
