I recently bought a preowned 2016 fusion. Long story short I love it. My only quirks is that the last owner scratched up the trim so its all chipped up and its very noticeable and it annoys me. I know how to remove the center dash trim but not the rest so if you can link me to videos on how to do that I'd greatly appreciate it. My real question is what color should I paint it. The car it magnetic metallic so im not thinking anything flashy. I want personality so i don't want to go straight to black. I appreciate any suggestions.

Had to get the Windshield replaced due to a factory defect in the glass lamination right in drivers view on my 2017 Fusion Platinum... Will follow up with after pictures. -
Hello everyone, this is my first post on here because I am having an issue diagnosing an ac problem on my girls car. 2011 fusion se 4 cyl manual climate controls. The a/c was intermittent for awhile working only sometimes. Not the only time it will work is if I adjust the temperature knob to hot and then back to cold, It then will only work for about 15 seconds before turning to hot again. I have checked the freon and the system is charged. The compressor clutch is also engaging. I have seen this problem in some topics on here but no one has given an answer as to what the problem was. I am assuming by process of elimination that either the blend door actuator or the control module has gone bad... Any one have any ideas or experience with this

Good morning from DC. I just bought my first Ford Fusion. It is a 2012 S model with a six speed manual transmission and a 4 cylinder engine. So far, so good. I am sure that I will be using this forum to assist me with the issues that all used cars have. I am going to start with finding a second key for the car. I really don't like the factory remote key that came with the car. It is just too big. I would like to see if I can find a flip key that would work. In the meantime, here is a picture of me with the new ride. Thanks in advance for the help. Ken

2014 Fusion Titanium Along the perimeter of the front windshield from about 1-2mm from the edge, there are tiny bubbles that will not disappear or fade away in dry conditions. It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold. I tried wedging a microfiber rag in the small crevice to see if it is a liquid and try to soak it up to no avail. It is very noticeable. It seems that the windshield is delaminating somewhat and causing this issue. No, it doesn't interfere with my driving, but is an eyesore when viewed from the outside. Has anyone else had this occur? I cant seem to find much information other than large bubbles in the middle of the windshield from older model fords that are not fusions. Just purchased my very first Ford Fusion. It's a 2017 Platinum model. Ordered it over 3 months ago, long wait from the factory but wow... Was it worth the wait. Previously I have a 2015 Ford Focus, traded it in as it was too small.

Hey guys have a 07 fusion 2.3L with a manual transmission at 170k miles. So this started about a week ago, when I push my clutch in to shift it starts to make this squealing sound. When my foot is off the clutch there is no sound. I haven't had any problems shifting since it has happened. I checked my clutch fluid and its full and looks clean. I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this or does anyone know what it might be? Tyler

I have a 2012 fusion (not sure on exact model, but I'm pretty sure it's a sel) and I recently bought a 128gb flash drive to use to store my music because what I have been using, a 32 gb zune HD, is full and I wanted room for all my music. I put it in this morning and it said something like "sync voice commands not available" and started playing the music. Then I tried to go to the menu on the screen to find a specific song it would flash "indexing" and then go back to the precious screen. So without going back to the zune I'm stuck on shuffle, anyone know how to make it work? (If possible?)

So I have a 2008 that the compressor went out on and I took it to the shop yesterday to FINALLY have it repaired (I live in Fl and it's been out since January). Anyways, the shop tried to replace the compressor, only to find out that the 2 compressors they tried to use that matched my car's vin number, were the incorrect compressors so they had to call around and try to find the compressor that matched the one in the car, rather than searching for it by the model of the car, which was almost an impossible feat. Has anyone come across this problem and maybe knows what's going on with that? The mechanic said he has never come across a problem like this in his 20 year career (so I'm assuming it's just my bad luck) but maybe somebody out there knows why my car is being difficult or if this has happened to anyone else.

Hi All, Here's my story: Leased a brand new 2016 Ford Fusion Energi SE. Lease agreement started on February 29th, 2016. Started noticing a moldy smell inside the cabin. The smell even lingered on my clothes after getting out of the car. On March 29th, noticed excessive moisture coming up from underneath the carpeting. On March 30th, brought the car into the local Ford service center. Service center conducted a few tests to find the source of a possible leak. Could not find anything. Service center provided a loaner vehicle on/around April 4th. Service center brought in an engineer from Ford to run some more tests. Still couldn't find anything. Service center received authorization from Ford Motor Company to replace carpeting and molding inside the car. At this point, it's been approx. 3 weeks since I brought the car in (week of April 18th). Later that week, I called Ford Motor Company and expressed my opinion about their solution. If they replace the interior but still can't find a leak, we'll probably have the same issue a month later with the new interior. I reach out to Ford the following week (now the end of April), Ford advises they will review the case and get back to me within 7-10 days. They have to internally discuss whether it's better to proceed with the original solution or to buy the car back from me. After another week, Ford Motor Company agrees to buy my car back (first week of May, approximately) Service center and Ford Motor Company exchange information and misc. paperwork over the course of a few days. Ford Motor Company confirms the refund of my last monthly payment, since I was without my car for over a month at this point. Received paperwork from Ford Reacquired Vehicle Headquarters on Friday, May 13th. Contains a contract that states the following:I'm entitled to any new Ford/Lincoln of equal or greater value. I am responsible for any difference in cost between the MSRP of the old car vs. the MSRP of the new one. I'm responsible for any applicable mileage/usage charges that may apply (obviously, this doesn't apply because the car was only a month old before I brought it back to the service center) I'm responsible for tax on the vehicle upgrade amount, transfer fees, license fees, and other state-mandated fees. As of today, I'm trying to contact Ford RAV to clarify the definition of a transfer fee, license fee, and other state-mandated fees. I have 14 days to respond, or else the offer will expire. The contract is dated May 12th, so I have until May 26th to get back to them. With all that said, do you think I should be responsible for any extra fees incurred due to a buyback/vehicle exchange? Why should I have to pay any "transfer fees", "license fees", or any "other state-mandated fees"? If my brand new car didn't smell like mold, I wouldn't have any of these extra costs. Shouldn't Ford be responsible for those? Also, if I decline the replacement offer, am I entitled to a full refund? I'm not contractually obligated until I sign this contract, so I'm definitely considering other brands before I make a decision. Looking forward to any feedback. Thanks, - Jordan

Hey all, So, I am having some odd vibration and clicking sounds in my 2010 Fusion and hopefully someone can shed some light. I have a 2010 fusion with about 100,000 miles on it. For about a week or so now, every time i turned left or right (mostly all the way), I would hear an almost clicking like sound coming from the front as i would drive off. Once I straightened out, the sound went away. I do not notice it any time after that. Yesterday though when i was driving down I75, my car would start to like shake or like be bumpy, or like a thumping sound, (not sure how to describe it) if i turned my steering wheel ever so slightly to the right, in one specific spot actually. If I kept it a straight, turned left or moved the wheel left, it would go away. Actually it would go away if i turned or moved the steering wheel even more to the right, there was this spot that if ever just touched my wheel right it would like vibrate and almost feel like a bumpy road. It would be worse at faster speeds. Do not really notice it in city driving. Has anyone experienced this? Are the two matters related? Sorry for the terrible description, but I don't know how to better describe it. Any advice or input it always appreciated.

I am trying to troubleshoot what is happening with my headlight. I recently bought the car, and all the lights worked until a day or so ago. Now the driver side headlight is not working. I changed the bulb, not it. Checked fuses, struggled with this but im almost sure that is not the problem either.

okay so I was timing the engine and when I was spinning the crank the timing gear was not spinning with the crank, I bought a new timing gear and washers and the timing gear just slid on and off, arent they supposed to be press fit... any helpful advice to this problem would be much appreciated, I have been told to have the timing gear welded onto the crank just wondering my other options at this point

Please has anyone had this problem. Display shows Engine Malfunction. Electrics are on and wiring check shows all ok. Ford diagnostics check after 3 hours have yet to find a fault. Engine will turn mechanically so nothing obvious there.

Just purchased a 2010 Fusion SEL 3.0 FWD with only 7100 miles. I won't disclose actual price but it was south of 14k. Leather, sunroof, automatic w select shift, sony audio package with SYNC, all power, dual exhaust, rear spoiler, non navigation stereo. This cat was sold to an 80 year old in 2010 brand new for 28k. She drove it home and parked it in her garage only drive to the hair salon, grocery, and church. She passed away Aug '15, RIP, and her daughter settled the estate. Lucky local ad troling turned up this deal, KBB and NADA value close to 17K. All stock. Looking for ideas and on reliable, smart upgrades. Aesthetically and performance. Starting with window tint, possible plasti dip (black) grill to preserve chrome, and Thule roof rack with cargo basket for travel. Thanks! Glad to be part of the Fusion family.

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong spot. It involves engine mods and exterior mods so I wasn't sure where to put it. I just bought a 2015 Fusion SE on Black Friday. I love the car but I'd like for it to be a little more exciting so I have a list of mods in the back of my head that I want to do. The first two mods I'm considering are a cold air intake and fog lights. Now, I've read a million different opinions about whether or not Cold Air Intakes are effective and each thing I read says something different. On the other hand, with the fog lights, at this point I can only afford about half of the parts I need with the Christmas money I have. My question is, if it were you, which of the two would you get right now, and why? Cold Air Intake or start piecing together a fog light kit? Thanks in advance! Happy New Year everyone. -
I notice on my 2015 Fusion 2.5 an irregular idle after its sat for a while. I have had it to the dealer once and they hooked it up to the scan tool and could not find anything. I have again brought it for them to look at. and they have had it a few days. I made a video for you to see....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tArM78gYIA8 Has anyone else experienced this? Hey guys, I remember a long time ago when I got my Fusion I was interested in a turbocharger kit but it was impossible to find one (other than the jank ones on ebay). I just happened to feel like googling it today and a link on amazon popped up. It says the models/years it is compatible with and it says: 06-11 Ford Fusion S/ SE/ SEL 2.3L/ 2.5L. Im not sure how trustworthy it is, but I typically find amazon a bit more reliable than ebay. Any opinions on this? It has yet to have any reviews :/. I read something before about our cars not having the best "u-joints" for the extra power? Im not sure what that is but its something to talk about.
