My 2006 has been great but I've got the bug and was thinking about leasing but it seems complicated... Can you trade in your vehicle and apply it towards a lease? Or do you have to sell it first?

This morning, I called a local dealer here in Philadelphia to get a lease quote on a special order Fusion 2013 Titanium. He called me back at 9pm, trying to sell me one that happens to be arriving next week, even though it didn't have the options I wanted. It didn't have BLISS but had park-assist. I told him I know how to park and am more concerned about cars in my blind spot while driving. When I told him I wanted to special order it, he started hemming and haaawing that he can't guarantee residuals on a lease, and the special order will take 3 months, and I should just take whatever he happens to have. He was a total jerk. When I challenged him on whether or not they can lock in a deal at time of order, he said he didn't know, and would call ford tomorrow. Question: Do the residuals for a lease really change quarterly or is it monthly? If quarterly, and I order now, might I get the car before the end of march? Thanks, Mike
