Howdy all, I've got a big project going on. I've got a 2010 SEL with the 3.0 V6 Duratec Engine. I'm wondering if anyone here as applied the Ground Effects package or any other such body kit to their Fusion. I've got a load of other questions as well, but I'm going to begin with the body kit most likely. Unfortunately, mine didn't come the spoiler which i will be adding soon after as well as a duck tail on my rear window. -
Good evening all, I am new to the group, so I wanted to test the water and see if anyone has tried or is looking at trying to turbo charge an 07-09 Fusion with a 5 speed manual. I bought this car a year ago because I wanted a manual tranny and this happened to be at a dealer nearby. I assume that a manual transmission is pretty rare (but that is becoming increasingly more common, much to my dismay) so I was wondering if anyone had tried or is in the process of turbo charging their car. Right now I am in limbo on how and when to do it. I know the engines are similar to the Focus RS, so it can't be impossible but could be difficult to upgrade. I know I need to replace one of the head gaskets soon so if head studs are needed, I would do it then. The clutch is in decent shape, it is the original clutch so I know I will need to replace it about time I start throwing power to it. I have some performance upgrade knowledge but it has mostly been diesel performance so I am coming in blind with gasoline engines as far as knowledge. I know I will need turning, and there is a great tuning shop nearby, so I would be using them. I kind of plan on amassing parts and doing the upgrades pretty much at one time. My dream would be having the car turbo'd, inter-cooled, short throw shifter, upgraded clutch, tuning to run on standard gas, and run about 6-7 PSI. Not looking for a barn burner or drag racer but a car that has some torque and gets decent fuel mileage. Any opinions or comments (that are not negative or rude) are appreciated. -
Hey Guys! I am going to pick up my new 2014 Fusion SE 2.0 L tomorrow night, I am beyond excited. Does anyone on this forum have any experience yet on performance add ons for the new 2.0 ecoboost yet? I am wondering about exhaust to get some more growl, maybe a blow off vavle for that nice woosh sound I've always loved, some cold air intake for turbo whistle? If any of you have these on your car or have experience with them I would love your input. Thank you!

Hello! I have a 2010 3.5L FWD FSport, I'm wondering if anyone with the same car as me has purchased/installed the GForce performance chip, they are being sold for $69. I figured that performance chips like the GForce that are advertised all over google are cheap and a waste of money? I eventually will be putting in the Steeda CAI w/tune but in the meantime, what will these chips actually do? Any actual mpg/HP improvement ? I appreciate your time in advance, Thanks!

I recently bought a Hypertech 42009 Max Energy Performance Chip off of Amazon. After poking around, I found a chip for $200 (instead of $330) that offered 40hp and 40 ft/lbs of torque increase (vs. 15hp and 21 ft/lbs). Does this seem reputable? whats up guys, first post here. I am the owner of a 2007 awd fusion with the 3.0 engine. I have done a few cosmetic mods but nothing with performance yet. Id like to do a tune and cai. I have searched around for real power adders like a super or turbo setup and almost every topic comes along with trolling answers like "build it yourself" or "your going to blow your transmission" but no real answers. Let's forget about the transmission, as I'd like to upgrade to the sho awd tranny eventually anyway.(as far as I understood they are the dame with different power ratings?) I have seen one supercharged setup on YouTube which cost like 5 grand to build or something crazy like that. I'm not looking to push 400 hp here, just want a little boost. Anyone got suggestions? My brother owns a gt grandprix which is supercharged and makes around 260 hp, and that's what I'd like to be around. There has to be a small super/turbo setup that will work with these motors. Thanks for the input guys. And please, let's not jump straight to the junked tranny talk
