Had this car for years, has the upgraded Sony sound system. Last year randomly the drivers side speakers started to sound slightly quieter/thinner. I’d hit a bump and it would happen, randomly would go away for awhile. It almost seemed like it happened more often when it was colder out. However, for some reason when I switched the EQ on Spotify, it stopped. I used to be able to get it to fix itself by switching to the radio, once HD radio would kick in, it would be good for awhile. It’s been months of being fine until yesterday I hit a bump and back to being a problem, but now it seems like my HD radio/Spotify EQ trick isn’t working. I can’t figure out why that would effect anything or what the problem is, but that slight difference in sound/volumn drives my absolutely nuts. anyone have this issue before or anyone have any ideas on what it is/could be? It’s driving me crazy lol -
Hello! I need help and explanation. Please tell me, I need help about the engine and about Ecoboost in general. My be you can advise me something based on experience or true. The thing is: I hit kicked down on my 1.5T Ford Fusion USA. I don't drive like that at all, but the situation required it. I drove to the point, I look in the mirror behind and saw a cloud of blue smoke and it stank of smoke for 3 min inside too. Auto after that approx. I SCREWED off and looked at the spark plugs, they had traveled 44,000 km. Rubbish... I have a video of the cylinders. Then I climbed into the cylinders with the camera and saw something that I did not understand. Apparently there is soot, an oil film. Could YOU please advise what is it? Why? How? Reasons? I have video inside cylinders, but cant download. Now i have: - Mileage: 50 000 miles (86,000 km) - fuel consumption is excellent, highway, from 6 l/100km. -- Oil consumption: 200 grams per 10,000 km. *Use Kendall 5W-20. -Service (changing oil) every 8,000 km. -Petrol: Tesco ""99 Moment"". (EU) 1. I need explanation, why it's had happened? 2. What to do? 3. Do I need clean cylinders? 4. Could it be a cylinder head gasket 5.! Greetings from Cali! Got the car in March or 2012,. 1st pic was probably a few days after I got it. About 4 years later I got the idea of getting the OEM parts of the fusion sport, which is the 2nd picture (and only one I could find). Last few pictures are the most recent ones, last one taken today. Needless to say, I fell back in love with car after putting headlights/tailights and going black on wheels and accents. ive posted here a couple times before.. I am now happy with how my car looks on the outside. Considering getting an all black interior next.. just not too sure..yet.

Up for sale is a used Steeda Throttle Body Spacer for a 2010-12 Sport. In very good condition. Was on for about 2 years. The gasket isn’t perfect, looks like it was twisted when originally installed. Has anyone installed a boost gauge in the 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost? Are the vacuum lines 3/16" or 1/4"? Where is the best place to splice?

I have been banging my head on this one for a couple weeks and my searches are not turning up anything useful. 2012 Fusion Sport 3.5 AWD She overheats when climbing hills on the highway but cools down almost immediately after cresting the hill. I did the thermostat the other day and did find some rubber pieces stuck to the thermostat, similar to a tire tube type rubber. I've burped the system several times and she only drops coolant level when overheating. I'm going to replace the radiator and flush the system this weekend but not sure it will make any difference. I also purchased a vacuum filler so I will refill that way. No white smoke, no water in the oil, no power loss and ~200lbs across all 6. My brain keeps going 'water pump, water pump, water pump' but I'm not excited about digging that deep with so many projects going at once. Honestly, if the water pump ends up being the issue, I'm going to replace it with the whole engine since it's sitting over 200k. Thoughts?

Steeda lowering springs for 2019 Fusion Sport. Pros and cons anyone? Already have Steeda CAI, BOV, air/oil separator, throttle body spacer, strut tower brace. Working on MRT exhaust and AutoMeter gauges on A pillar. Will lowering springs require engine ECM tune?

Have had the car a few months, couldn't get title and registration settled so it sat for awhile. I didn't do much to it at first, but decided to at least rub out the small scratches and wax it. Been raining a lot, but decided even with rain in the forecast later in the day, take 15 minutes and wash it and go to a nice desert area and snap some pics. I don't really have a good grasp on framing the car and getting rid of signs sticking out the top of it and stuff, these are more like trying to sell it on Craigslist photos, but I will have a friend help me once I get it cleaned up a little. The car is still a little rough, but still doesn't look bad from 10 feet, so here are some pics:

So, driving home through a snowstorm tonight, i accelerated at a stoplight and my Advance Trac light came on didn't turn off. No fooling around or anything. Traction control was on at the time of this happening. My message center also has the message, "Service AdvanceTrac" showing now, Any idea what could have happened? My Fusion is a 2012 AWD Sport with 93K miles.

Is there a certain brand or does anyone sell specific touch up paint for the Sport wheels? It seems darker than all my other silver sparkle wheels (2017 Escape, 2015 Fusion with the Sport Appearance wheels), but lighter than some Rustoleum sparkly silver wheel paint (that I used to paint some brake caliper brackets) that I have. I plan on smoothing, filling with Bondo where needed, priming, and painting these, since they are appearance wise what makes the Sport a Sport. I prefer chrome or polished wheels, but will stick with these for awhile. I am not sure how people curb wheels this bad, but it is just cosmetic. I am testing different color primers and number of coats of the paint I have, I started with a sandable etching primer that is darker grey, but I have some lighter (so I could do a guide coat on a bumper cover) that might help, and on coat 4 it seems to be getting lighter with more flake and less transparency.

When reviewing Ford's website awhile back, I realized they updated the Edge and are now calling the Sport model, the Edge ST. What's the difference between a Sport and a ST? I know ST stands for Sport Technology. I thought maybe the Sport packages on Ford's were just a bigger engine and visually sportier inside and out and the ST were the same but had sportier tuned suspension and better brakes but the Explorer Sport has a different tuned suspension. I'm talking about across the board of Ford vehicles, not just the Edge.

I just recently entered the ford fusion family as i just bought a used 2012 ford fusion sport. great deal for it! its black and although new the rims have pretty severe scratches on the passenger sides. I asked my dealer if he could put rims from a 2013 fusion on it and he said it shouldn't be a problem. my question is will they fit? i want to black out the outside of my car (the wheels and the windows 20%) so was hoping to put these on Wheels - 18 Inch PVD Dark Chrome Kit So will these fit, if not does anybody know of ford brand rims that are 18in and black that will fit my vehicle thanks!

Hello everyone, I have owned this sport for about 2 years now. I have not done much for mods yet. I drive a ton for work, so it mainly is just my daily, it now has 100k miles. I'm currently at around 85,000 miles and every once in a while my check engine light and wrench light will come on and it throws the code P0976. I had the code read at O'reillies and I was told it was transmission shift solenoid 2. This has happened once a few months ago and now twice in 2 weeks. It's fine in the morning. The first two times it happened I was going up a slight hill that didn't require a downshift but the lights came on and I felt a little jolt. When I slowed down it would come down to third but wouldn't up or downshift. Select shift mode doesn't do anything when this happens. The fluid has never been changed as far as I know but when I check it it's full. I've had the car since 50,000 miles. I'm probably going to change the fluid and hope that helps. I've recently put a new battery in because the last one was 3 years old and went bad. Other than this I've never had any issues with the car. I've searched everywhere for someone else with this problem but I haven't found anything. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey everyone, First post here. I did some searching but couldn't find any exact match to my situation. It seems the owner before me didn't really care for my car (2012 Ford Fusion SEL 3.0 V6) - which is a shame really. It's in great condition but there are some things I'd like to fix to bring it back to perfect. One of them being the shifter assembly. It seems like a rarity for such a young car to have a problem like this, which is why it's hard to find a solution away from paying the dealership $480 for install on a $175 part brand new. The actual shift knob has lateral pivot play about 3-5º in either direction left or right. Because of this play - I'm assuming at least - the SelectShift rocker button no longer shifts up and only allows me to shift down. From what I've seen in other forums and via my dealership here in Indiana, the shifter assembly is just one large part and you can't just purchase a new button/wires for the rocker shifter. I have two questions - would a Fusion Sport shifter assembly of the same year (2012) with the Sport shift gate work/fit a 2012 SEL? If the Sport shifter assembly isn't an option, is there anything I need to know about swapping out my existing broken for a like-new used or brand-new shifter assembly? Anything that might cause the computer to lock the solenoid or cause any sort of malfunction? If anyone has performed this? If so, can you document with pictures? If I end up doing this myself, I'd happily document with pictures so the next person that runs into this issue doesn't have such a hard time tracking down a how-to. Thanks! Mike
