  1. I have a 2015 Fusion SE with the 202A equipment. I REALLY need the wiring diagram for everything in the center stack, I am trying to put a line output converter on, and I cannot find any diagrams that match anything that is behind the stereo. Could anyone direct me to correct diagrams for the 202A package?? I have the 8 Inch Sync Display.
  2. I decided to fiberglass my driver and passenger door panels to house 3 speakers each.
  3. Just bought a 12 Ford Fusion SEL with sony sync and the stereo stopped playing sound. Had to take it to the dealer after 2 car audio guys were unsuccessful to learn the Sony amp has gone out and needs to be replaced. Which they quoted $860. Any recommendations on the cheapest route to just get sound back again? And does anyone know where the DSP amp is located?
  4. I'm planning an install of my 10 inch subwoofer and 1000 watt amp into my 2008 SEL, utilizing a Line Out Converter. I've already purchased an LC2i Line Out Converter, the plan is to splice that into my rear speakers for the signal to the amp. I've not installed a system using a Line Out Converter, but after replacing the head unit in my old Altima, I'd like to avoid doing all of the tedious work of taking apart the dash, and my research seems to indicate that a LOC should do the trick. I'm not very technical and my experience is limited, so any advice to keep me or my car fully functioning would be greatly appreciated My plan goes as follows Run LOC power from the trunk to the fuse box (18 gauge wire with a fuse head?) Does it matter what fuse slot I use? Run Amp Power through firewall directly to battery A few posts here have indicated there is a small white plastic circle where the clutch would be. I'll most likely take the battery out to hopefully see that spot and be able to drill through it or finesse it through Once I have my power I've got to wire the LOC into my rear "subs". The wires are easily accessible in the trunk. I found a wiring diagram online which I'll post below, however now I'm not certain it's accurate because I think my car has more speakers Somebody on another site suggested a "bumper" to determine polarity. If the wires don't exactly match, I suppose I'll try that. Once I determine the right polarity, I'll wire the speakers to the LOC using additional speaker wire Do I have to wire it into each rear speaker? Or do I just tap into one? After that, I'll ground the amp and the LOC to a bolt in the trunk. Connect RCA from LOC to Amp, get everything connected to power, and I should be good to go? My question remains, how does the LOC know to power off? I know this is a cluster, clearly any guidance is appreciated! 5. Last summer, I decided I wanted to put (kind of) stock trunk deck subwoofers in my 2006 Fusion SEL. I found a wiring diagram explaining where everything went and we (my dad and I) followed that wiring diagram. Instead of using stock subwoofers for the Fusion generation (2006-2009), I found two subwoofers, Sony, from a 2011 Fusion, same size as the stock ones, 6x9. I couldn't find any stock subwoofers (Audiophile) anywhere. But we used the stock amplifier from the 2006-2009 generation. Before all this, I bought a 2008 Mercury Milan Navigation unit, so it had the 8-pin connection for the amplifier on the back ready to go unlike the unit I had before. I went to a local junkyard and got the connections for the Navigation unit and connections for the actual amp. I bought, one of two, amplifiers on eBay. We followed the diagram exactly, connected the power wire to the fuse box and nothing. We're certain the subs work because we tested them beforehand. After that, I just quit because I thought it was the amplifier, so last week, I bought another one and the same thing, nothing worked. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be that we mixed subwoofers from a 2011 Fusion with an amp from a 2009 Fusion? Also, does anyone know what "Enable CUP" means on the diagram, the VIO/RED one going to the amp? I inserted the wiring diagram.
  6. Hi, I'm experienced at installing new car stereo's but I'm a little bit nervous about installing one in my Hybrid because I don't want to mess up the way the high voltage battery system works. In looking at my car there is a low voltage (12v) battery in my trunk and since I don't have a regular battery under the hood, I guessed that this is the regular battery. In looking at the manual on how to replace the battery, sure enough I had it right. Since the battery is in the trunk it seems like it would be very easy to run power off of it to my amp and my sub. I would also use AudioControler LC2i to convert the back speakers out puts into pre-sub outs. I would use that sound to run one set of RCA's to my sub amp and one to an amp that would go to the original speakers. I would also have plans in the near future to replace the back speakers with something that can handle a little more power. Does anyone see a problem with any of this? Am I missing something about it being a hybrid that I should know before I start messing with stuff?
  7. Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone has already done a similar install on their hybrid and can provide some guidance. I bought a 2015 Fusion Hybrid SE and the sound system is not that great. I'd like to add a 10", 100W Powered Bass Tube (Bazooka #BTA10100FHC). It includes the FAST-9999 Factory Radio Connection Kit. I think this is a pretty straight forward install on non-hybrid cars, but I don't know if the install would be different on a hybrid vehicle. Sites such as Crutchfield still do not carry wiring diagrams for the hybrid models and they also cannot guarantee that the wiring will be the same as their non-hybrid counterparts (and likely isn't the same). Has anybody out there installed something similar to this? Any tips/suggestions?
  8. So I've decided to install my old subs/amp that I used in my 2001 Ford escort zx2 into my new 2012 ford fusion SEL. I want to do so using the existing stock radio. My younger brother gave me a box with 2 10" Sony Xplods 1100 watt and a crappy alpine amp. But who am I to complain about free stuff!?! That's all I know about the subs, the screws are stripped hardcore. So, it wouldn't be easy to look at the backs... The amp stopped working for god know why, so I purchased a BOSS Phantom 2000 watt amp. Ph2.1000. Here's a link to one that's similar to mine: http://www.amazon.com/BOSS-Audio-PH2-1000-2000-watts-Amplifier/dp/B0032FOKT2 (2) 10" Sony Xplod 1100w (1) BOSS Phantom PH2.1000 2000w (S/N: 18878163) (1) 2 10" speaker Box My Fusion is from what I counted a 10 speaker sony sound system with a basic unit (non-nav screen). They said it was an 8 speaker from the Nissan dealership, but like I said, I counted 10. My brother installed the old system in my old car with an aftermarket radio and a random wiring harness. He hooked his up and helped a few of his friends so I just left it up to him. It didn't turn out great haha. It sounded good but we had to install a toggle switch and things such as my rear defrost stopped working so I knew something wasn't right. It slowly drained the battery, but it was just my highschool car so to me it didn't matter. SO, now i'm asking for guidance from you guys. I want to install myself, I want to do it clean and easy. It's what I think a rather small system and that's all I want. No competition system for me! I appreciate any sort of information!! Thank You!

  10. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL with the 12-Speaker Sony System. I want to add a subwoofer and amplifier but want to keep the factory head unit. I know I could use a LOC and tap into the rear speaker but is there any other options? And if I was going to use a LOC how would I splice into that wiring for the speaker? Any ideas or questions are well appreciated! Thanks
