  1. Dear fellows; I'm diagnosing a "crank & no start" condition in my 2010 3.0 V6 AWD that sat in the garage for a couple of years. Brand new battery; Oil + oil filter changed; The fuel pump itself got locked, so I replaced it for another with similar specs; Also replaced the pump strainer/sock + fuel pressure regulator preventively; Put the whole module to test at the work bench in a bucket with water - apparently it's working fine except for one aspect: the cup where the pump sits has to be overflowing with fuel during normal operation? If so, for some reason it's NOT happening here. I've seen videos on the subject where the mechanic/technician reports that that such overflow keeps the pump submerged in fuel, thus preventing overheating and a shorter life. I also would appreciate any help towards the identification of the module's components interconnected by a thin black hose... Tried to google technical diagrams and/or parts description of the module without sucess. I'll upload some pics soon. Thanks in advance and best regards!

Hey Everyone! Very excited to join the page. Just got my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD and i’m loving it so far! Hopeful that i’ll be able to make it look even better over time!
  3. Hi, I have a 2014 ford fusion titanium AWD and it started throwing a code for a turbo over boosting I have been looking and I'm seeing that it may be an issue with the waste gate but shortly after this my AWD stopped working its coming up on the dash "AWD Temporarily Disengaged" but it doest seem to come back on can this be an issue from the turbo? could the turbo be causing the AWD to heat up and shut off ? when I get the turbo fixed will the AWD come back ? I have all the same size tires on the car they were all purchased at the same time. thanks in advance for any help.
  4. Hello all! I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL 3.0 AWD and I am just over three months with a slow start issue that is driving me crazy. The car was serviced in June/19 and had all of its fuel injectors replaced. It was experiencing both idle and normal driving ignition failures because one of the injectors was “dripping” fuel. The other injectors were also experiencing a small leak in the middle of the part. The important thing is that all misfires were resolved with this maintenance. However, shortly after that, the slow start issue began. The first start of the day occurs without any problem. Usually the car stays stationary for at least 12 hours overnight: https://youtu.be/FpNBqUAWUNg Let's say the car runs for a few kilometers and engine reaches normal operating temperature: if it is stopped and started immediately afterwards, it also starts without problems. But if it stays stationary for at least 40 minutes, the next start will be a slow one: https://youtu.be/Sa7Vjx0Xkng (<= here the car was driven for four kilometers and then stood stationary for an hour and fifty minutes) This problem can be repeated several times a day, as long as the car remains stationary for at least 40 minutes. Ambient temperature does not influence the result, the problem has already occurred under an ambient temperature range of 15 to 35 ° C (59 to 95 ° F): https://youtu.be/6F05L2Iw_Pc (<= here the car was driven for twenty-two kilometers and then stood stationary for five and a half hours) PCM has only one DTC: P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold - Bank 2). I believe this error could be a consequence and not the cause of the issue… Last month the car battery died, it had less than two years of use. Its brand is a recognizably good quality brand here in Brazil, so I believe it died from excessive wear during the many slow engine starts. So, right now the car is in a second shop because the first one (which replaced the fuel injectors) could not diagnose the problem. The guys of current shop said they measured the pressure of the fuel pump and that it is reaching 4 bar even during the slow start. So we are running out of ideas… I apologize for the Portuguese audio in the videos, the important is how the engine sounds. Any help or tip would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
  5. Have had the car a few months, couldn't get title and registration settled so it sat for awhile. I didn't do much to it at first, but decided to at least rub out the small scratches and wax it. Been raining a lot, but decided even with rain in the forecast later in the day, take 15 minutes and wash it and go to a nice desert area and snap some pics. I don't really have a good grasp on framing the car and getting rid of signs sticking out the top of it and stuff, these are more like trying to sell it on Craigslist photos, but I will have a friend help me once I get it cleaned up a little. The car is still a little rough, but still doesn't look bad from 10 feet, so here are some pics:
  6. Hi everyone~ New to the forum and looking for a straight answer that I can't seem to get from the internet: which years and versions of the Fusion are awd? Thanks! P
  7. Hello everyone, I'm replacing the PTU in my wife's 2010 Fusion this weekend. Anyone ever done this? Seems pretty strait forward, just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to make things go a little easier. God Bless, Eddie
  8. Evening guys. Been a Ford fan since my 1990 Taurus, but that was another life ago. Traded in a 2005 Honda Accord with 205K on the odo and finally convinced the wife that it was better as a down payment than a paper weight. Her (my former) DD is a 2011 Edge SEL with about 98K on it. (I used to be active on the Edge Forum) Picked up my Fusion about a week ago with 24K in it. I finally have a car the exactly the way I want it. Pretty much fully loaded. K&N filter is awaiting installation. Probably going to Tint 35% all around and do some other things one at a time. Car was local and only 24k after 3 years, so lucky me.....except for 3 of the rims that need to be redone. Was a self-employed car detailer in the past when I had spare time, but now most of that is dedicated to a 11mo old, the wife and house. But if you have car care questions, LMK. I'm sure there are others that know more than me. Looking forward to being here. -Mickey

  10. I really wanted the 2013 Fusion with AWD. However, I live in Philadelphia and the closest one is in Maryland, has some extra stuff I don't need, and would be $70/month more on my lease payment. I don't think I'm willing to go for that last $70/month which means getting FWD. Alternatively, I could get an 2013 Escape in my price range and it would have AWD. However, it doesn't have the lane keeping feature which sounds like it would be a really important safety feature.. So, from a SAFETY PERSPECTIVE, what's more important, AWD or lane keeper? (Not to further complicate the discussion, but I am concerned that SUV's generally have 4 stars of safety for roll-over whereas cars have 5 stars. All thoughts and discussion would be very much appreciated! Thanks, Mike
  11. Hey all, I've picked up a 2015 Fusion Titanium in Guard metallic. I'm really happy with the car overall and look forward to a great owner experience. I am interested in engine or wheel upgrades, or other small cosmetics. I'll be getting a 3M protective film package for the leading edges up front and a very slight window tint (more than factory). The factory rims will be for winter tires and I'd like to find a sharp-looking set of rims for summer. I've started looking for engine performance upgrades and can't find much specifically for 2015 2.0l Ecoboost. Anyone having luck on this topic? -Mike.
  12. Interested if anyone has tried to do a RWD conversion on their Ford Fusion. Interested in doing it on a FWD, but I assume it would be more common/easier on a AWD. I've seen some ridiculous mods for Fusions so far with Super/Twin Charging, ITBs, and other fun things, but the one I'm most interested in performing myself seems to have not been attempted yet. If I have to break ground myself and sacrifice my Fusion for the greater good of all Fusions than I shall do so - but it would be great to see if anyone has tried or seen someone else attempt this. Thanks, Chrom Edit: This could also apply to the Powertrain section of the forum, and if it should be then I apologize, but this is the only section of the forums labeled as Modifications
  13. I have had an 08 Fusion for several years now, SEL trim with the sport package and V6. I love the car, but one thing I wish I got was the 4 cylinder instead of the 6 for fuel economy. On the same token, I also wish I got the AWD option for poor weather as well. I have a set of snow tires but I still like AWD to prevent getting stuck from a start, and for better wet weather start/stop performance. As I recall, the V6 only came with the AWD option. I've looked at new versions of the Fusion, is that still the case? I would love an I4 with AWD if it was around. Are there plans or rumors of this happening?
  14. I just purchased a used 2010 Ford Fusion Sport AWD, and although I researched the posted mileage for the vehicle I'm looking for some real world experience input on what I can expect in terms of how many KMs I'll get per tank/how often I'll need to fill up. I recognize it depends on driving habits and patterns, but I'm curious of your experience in this regard (including your particular driving habits - city versus highway, etc.). Any insights are appreciated.
  15. Hey Guys, I was looking into lowering my Fusion Sport. I have been looking into H&R and Eibach lowering springs. Any suggestions towards which I should go with. As well has there been any issues with it messing up the AWD system/alignment after lowering? Thanks!
