  1. Just traded off my 09 Fusion 5 speed for a 12 Fusion with much less rust and miles. Trying to pair my phone to it and I keep getting “no phone” on the display. I’ve pulled the fuse and unhooked the battery in a attempt to reset everything with no success. I noticed there is no sync emblem on the console like my 09 or a USB port in the center console. This car was bought new by a older couple, was sync a option? I’m wondering if it wasn’t ordered with it. If so can I install the module and whatever else is missing? I’d assume the harness and connectors would still be there.
  2. Hi Friends, I'm hoping I can get some troubleshooting help with the SYNC on my car. In February this year, my grandparents gifted me their 2011 Fusion SE 2.5 L 4-cylinder. It's in pretty good condition, only had 34,000 miles on it before they drove it here from Michigan (now about 35,500), and they had it looked at by technicians at their local Ford service center before they left the state, and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. The second day I had it, I got into the car, turned the key, heard a bunch of "clicks," but the engine wouldn't turn over, none of the lights would turn on, etc. My roommate and I tried to jump it, but we were unsuccessful, so my grandfather took it to the service center by my house the next morning and had the battery replaced. Since then, I haven't had any issues with it starting or running smoothly. The issue is really only with the Bluetooth/SYNC in the car. When I first got the car, I read over the manual for hooking my phone up and pairing everything. I was able to get everything all set without any issues. About two weeks later, I tried to play music/navigation through my phone via the Bluetooth option, and when I pressed the media button and said "Bluetooth Audio," my voice wasn't picked up at all. It would say "SYNC, please say a command" and I would say "Bluetooth Audio," but would get no response (it would wait a few seconds before telling me what my options to say were, and when I tried the other options it still wouldn't pick up my voice). When this happened I looked online and did a factory reset and re-added my phone, which seemed to fix the problem. A couple of weeks after that, it happened again, I did the same thing an had no issues. About two weeks ago, it happened again, only since then I haven't been able to fix the issue. I've tried the hard reset, turning Bluetooth off and back on on my phone and the car, turning my phone and the car off and back on to try and reconnect it, but to no avail. I did notice that when I go into my Bluetooth settings, the car says that Bluetooth is off, but the Bluetooth symbol is still popping up on my radio face, as if Bluetooth is on. I read online about possibly having to update the software for SYNC, but I'm unsure how to do this, and I highly doubt my grandparents ever did any updates since they didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked if the SYNC had ever acted up while they had the car. I will be the first to admit to my ignorance on this subject, so any insight is much appreciated. I will take it into the service center if I have to, but I'd rather not have to pay to fix the issue if it is something that I could fix on my own
  3. I have a 2013 Fusion. I usually listen to music via Bluetooth thru SYNC, but notice every time I get in the car and start it, I have to navigate thru 7 or 8 keystrokes to get to this option. Is this normal, or is there a method to set this up for quicker access?
  4. I just purchased 2013 Ford Fusion and my cellphone is now sync'd to the car, however, when I play music using bluetooth, the music keeps skipping. Is it because i need to update software or is it my phone? Confused.
  5. Hi All, I just purchased a new 2016 Fusion Titanium. I have paired my iPhone 5S (ATT) and LG FlipPhone (Verizon) with the car. While I can hear hear callers just fine they all complain about about background noise coming from me. The background noise occurs with both mobile phones By playing with the car, I have found that if I turn off my A/C that background noise goes away. Later, I have discovered with the A/C on that if I adjust the center driver vent so that it is pointed down or closed that much if not all of background noise heard by callers goes away. Have others noticed this problem? What have you done to resolve? Cheers, Donald Barar
  6. I just bought a 2010 Fusion Hybrid with 102,000 km on it. I like the car except for the fact that whenever the Sync system (6 cd changer) is used or kicks in there is an awful lot of static. I spend a lot of time commuting in my car and generally listen to audiobooks or music from my iPod and this ability was one of the main reasons why I was looking at the Ford's. I've tried playing audio files through the iPod (tried 3 different cables), through bluetooth (iPhone 4 iOS7 and BB Z10), and also through a usb drive connected to the usb port. All have the static. Also, whenever the Sync system kicks in like when it says "bluetooth connected" the static is there too. I've tried the master reset and pulling the Sync fuse (left it out for 5 minutes with the car off, then ran the car for 5 minutes with it out, and then put it back in) and still no change. I've uploaded an audio file illustrating the static: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vtzdmvb5mrdor78/Sync%20Static.m4a I was hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on this and how to fix it. According to Syncmyride.com my car has the latest software (v3.1). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I've got the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Navigation. I've had my phone and my wife's phone synced with the system since I bought the car a couple years ago. All of a sudden, they are no longer synced, and I can't add them again, because the buttons are grayed out. The little Bluetooth icon on the navigation screen is no longer there either. Any suggestions?
  8. Despite you NOT being able to send texts, you ARE capable of having them read to you without jail breaking your phone. (I am driving '13 fusion hybrid w/ MyFordTouch w updated software & iPhone 5) All you have to do is: 1) Pair your iPhone 2) in the phones Bluetooth setting hit the blue arrow next to 'sync' 3) turn on show notifications 4) restart your phone You cannot see previous texts within your phone, only the texts you receive while the phone/sync is connected. (Hence the iPhone feature 'notifications') According to computer nerds if you jailbreak your phone you can have full features including iPhone's Siri feature through your steering wheel's functions Enjoy (Cuz somthin is better than nuthin)
  9. Hi there. I have a 2010 Fusion S and want to get more use out of my stereo buttons. Since it's an S, the bluetooth phone and sirius sat buttons simply read "NO PHONE" or "NO SAT" when I push them. I want to make these buttons work and know that all I need are a couple adapters to plug into the OEM system. However, I have had no luck finding said adapters. Can anyone link me to what I need for the bluetooth as well as the satellite radio? Thanks!
