Hi, I own a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6. Everything has been running pretty much perfect since I got it over a year ago. Ever since I got it in August of 2016 it has been telling me to "Check Charging System", only when in the accessory or on position but when I actually start it up, it goes away and there's no light or message. Just wondering if there is anything that needs to be done? The battery, I'm pretty sure, is two or three years past the normal changing, maybe six or seven years old.

I bought a used 2006 ford fusion about 7 months ago and ever since I got it, it dies and says check charging system. It seems to die when it's warmer outside and if i drive it longer than like 15 minutes. It only dies at stops (stoplights, stop signs, etc) and it does it if its stopped usually for longer than 30 seconds. When this first started happening we replaced the battery and it continued, so we took it to a mechanic and they found nothing at all (connected it to the computer too) so we took it to multiple other auto part places to connect to a computer and it showed nothing. So we took it to another mechanic who changed the alternator and throttle body and fixed some connections. Again, nothing. Still dying. I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm only 16 and I don't have money to buy a new car and i'm not going to do what this guy did to me and just let someone else deal with it. I've already spent $900 on replacing things that dont even fix it. any ideas or recommendations?
