  1. Ok Guys, I'm new to this forum & a noob to this "F๏rd H๏rde" in general.... Thanks in advance for y'all's advice. As mentioned in title, I own a white 2019 1.5L Ecoboost Fusion SEL. Milage : 28098 Maintenance is up to date as I handle it personally. Carfax shows it's history as a Enterprise rental in Ohio until a minor Front passenger side collision. Cosmetic damage only, nothing mechanial. Car repaired; sold to dealership; bought by me @ around 18,500 mi. So today I did scheduled maintenance # 2 since I've had her & after pouring in my fresh 5w20 it seemed as if it was running louder than I remembered; not only that but there is an intense CLICKING that is even louder than that. This was coming from the small plastic 'WhatTheFucksIt' that can be seen in the pic & heard in the vid clip. 1. I'm trying to identify 'said' part & find out if it's supposed to behave in this manner or if its malfunctioning? 2. Is my Engine idling abnormally loud or is it perfectly fine & I was tripping earlier? IMG_2976.MOV
  2. Hey there, I'm having a couple issues with my car that could all be related, but I'm not sure, so I figured I'd pick the forum's brain to see if anyone else has had similar issues and possibly knows the cause. I have a 2010 Fusion SE, and I drive it maybe one per week, so the car is sitting in the garage quite a bit. The first time I had any issue the car had been sitting for two days. In that time I did access the car with my remote but did not start the engine. When I eventually did go to start my engine, the remote did not work. I used the key to open the door. When I put the key in the ignition and turned, the engine started, however I could not shift out of park. Most electronics didn't work either. The engine combustion seemed off too. The only electronics that seemed to work were the windshield wiper switch and the radio. The solution: I disconnected and then reconnected the battery and then the car worked fine. This situation happened again a couple months later, after the car was sitting for a couple days. This time I didn't even touch the car while it was sitting. Also, this time the engine wouldn't turn. Instead the car just emitted a clicking sound when I turned the ignition key. The solution: disconnect the battery and then jump the car. Since that time my car battery has died two times after sitting for several days. One time I checked the voltage and it read about 3.5V, however after it was fully charged it read 14V, so I don't think there are any bad cells. Either way I am going to get a new battery soon, but I don't believe the battery is necessarily the problem. One night I was outside and I noticed the car headlights and brake lights would briefly flash every few minutes. So I'm starting to think this is a computer problem. Has anyone had similar issues? Like I said, I am going to replace the battery soon. Also, I will probably try to see if the computer is throwing any error codes.
  3. Hey all, So, I am having some odd vibration and clicking sounds in my 2010 Fusion and hopefully someone can shed some light. I have a 2010 fusion with about 100,000 miles on it. For about a week or so now, every time i turned left or right (mostly all the way), I would hear an almost clicking like sound coming from the front as i would drive off. Once I straightened out, the sound went away. I do not notice it any time after that. Yesterday though when i was driving down I75, my car would start to like shake or like be bumpy, or like a thumping sound, (not sure how to describe it) if i turned my steering wheel ever so slightly to the right, in one specific spot actually. If I kept it a straight, turned left or moved the wheel left, it would go away. Actually it would go away if i turned or moved the steering wheel even more to the right, there was this spot that if ever just touched my wheel right it would like vibrate and almost feel like a bumpy road. It would be worse at faster speeds. Do not really notice it in city driving. Has anyone experienced this? Are the two matters related? Sorry for the terrible description, but I don't know how to better describe it. Any advice or input it always appreciated.
  4. Hi guys, new to the forums and new owner of a year old 2013 Fusion SE 2.0. Car has 22000 Kms on it. Car runs great shifts great, no power shortage or anything. I only have one little worry with the car. When I put it in reverse, I hear a mechanical click and the car bumps just a little. If I go from reverse back do Drive, same noise happens. Now I had the car into Ford and they said it was normal operation of the vehicle. Then I asked a co worker who is very good with cars. He is also telling me this is normal. Now, I've only ever driven this fusion. Never tested others. Is this single click noise anything to even worry about? Is it normal operation of the vehicle? You 2.0 owners, do you get this as well? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated as I want to drive my car and not worry the whole time. Thanks!
  5. I've posted other topics on a vibration on my 2010 Fusion, left front wheel. Been going on for two years, since hitting a pot hole and Ford mechanics can't find the issue. So I jacked the car up, put it in neutral and spun the wheel with my hands. I can hear a clicking noise coming from the axle and the wheel is very stiff when moving. Now mind you, this axle has been replaced due to a defect, which caused a leak. I hit the pot hole after the new axle was installed. So I'm wondering if it is the hub assembly or cv joint on the axle. The clicking sound comes from where the inner cv join is.

    Engine Tick

I have a 2007 2.3L I4 that I bought almost 2 years ago. When I bought it, I noticed a quiet ticking noise. It has never caused any problems but lately, it has been getting worse and is making me worry. I usually notice it for a few seconds on a cold startup. Then when I am cruising at a constant speed (usually around 2500 to 3000 RPMS) I can hear it. And it gets pretty loud when I am accelerating hard (especially past 3000 RPMS). Anyone know what is causing it? Someone told me it might just be a solenoid in the accelerator but I'm starting to think its something in the engine. Thanks
