  1. I have a 2014 Fusion SE with base everything except I have heated seats. I was wondering if I could buy the Sync 2 touch screen off 4d Tech and if that would add dual climate since it has a passenger-side climate thing.
  2. My 2013 Ford Fusion is no longer blowing hot air.. air comes on but stays cold, anyone have any recommendations or an idea what the problem is? Thanks
  3. I had a 2016 SE with the Sync and Tech package. One thing I loved was controlling the climate through the steering wheel and right-hand LCD. I now have a 2017 Titanium and the climate section is no longer accessible in the right-hand LCD. Does anyone know why this has been removed, and if it can be added back?
  4. Like some other users here I noticed today that the Climate Control options on my 2013 Ford Fusion (mine's a hybrid, not sure if that matters) are all greyed out. I recently took the car in for one of the recalls for some sort of flash and honestly I'm not sure if that's what changed the options to grey and unavilable or not. Now that it's getting colder I noticed that when I used the remote start the seats arne't warm and the front and rear defrosters weren't on and when I tried to change the setting everything was grey From what I've read I suppose that I'll need to take it into the dealership and printing out someting that says: Remote Start options greyed out from research I have found 3 possible solutions 3 possible solutions. TSB 13-05-28 TSB 13-4-4 Or update the instrument cluster. If these don't work then the tech needs to go through the remote start enable process and recheck for the cluster enable not being set in Module Programming/Programmable Parameters on IDS There are 2 parameters that must be set, along with equipment flags. Often a tech that doesn't do lots of these will only enable one, because he doesn't expect there to be multiple. Anyone have any other suggestions? Not looking forward to yet another day without my car Thanks
  5. Just fixed a couple month old problem on my 2011 SEL AWD V6. Had symptoms many others have reported, that is, random mixes of hot and cold coming out of vents despite climate control settings. First thought that perhaps blend door was broken or the blend door control module was bad, BUT, once I experienced a full range of combinations of hot and cold (switching sides, all hot, all cold etc.), I reasoned that the doors must still be moving, so it wasn't that a door was stuck, and it sounded more like a software glitch. Read the post below from JustAnswer and tried both fixes (fuse removal, BCM reset), it was the BCM reset that did the trick for me. I followed the instructions exactly, especially when I noticed the warning about removing the airbag fuse, I could just imagine fixing the HVAC problem and having one or more blown airbags to replace! Worked perfectly so far. Of course, lost all my audio settings/stations, but no big deal compared to being alternatively roasted and frozen. Love my Fusion esp. the AWD BUT Ford does seem to have more than their share of HVAC issues, of which this is just one. Passing this on in case it helps someone else with same issue... proautotech (on justanswer.com ): "Remove your hvac fuse 15 for 10 sec - reinstall fuse. Start engine "DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING FOR 3 MINUTES" Recalibration of module will accure when power is lost(fuse pulled, battery changed or died) If hvac reset did not work you have a trouble code - reset BCM There are two ways to reset your body control module Go to the GENERAL Remove BOTH battery cables (for the sake of CAUTION remove air bag fuse and wait 5 MINUTES) Hold both cables together for 1 minute - drains KAM (keep alive memory). Put everything back together Start the engine "DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING FOR 3 MINUTES" If you have no broken parts - system not default (normal operation)"
  6. I'm struggling to get my 2013 FFH to do what my other cars can. I want to bring in outside air through the vent without running the fan and no A/C. If I set it to auto, the fans could change in speed, and also the heater might come on. If I keep the climate off, no air comes in and my windows start to fog up (fogging gets heavy depending on weather and passengers). The only way I found to bring outside air in is to keep it in manual with the fan on. But even at the lowest speed, the air is too strong for me. In my other cars, I could get the cool outside air in when the car is moving (the faster it goes, the more air it lets in). This helps keeping awake and the windows from fogging up. Does someone know how to do this? My dealer was no help.
