  1. I have a 2017 Fusion Hybrid with about 88k on it. The other day I began getting the Powertrain warning (orange wrench), Front Airbag warning, and a warning on the Sync display that the 911 Assist is not operational. They all come on immediately on startup. I can clear the 911 error, but it comes back up if I go into the Sync settings to try to disable it. I stopped at Autozone and the OBD2 scanner showed no errors. Is there, like on my '95 Mustang, a hidden sequence to display codes on the display? Any thoughts on what might be causing these or something to check before taking it to a shop. Seems like it might be a communication issue or something. Also, 6 month old battery, so I don't expect that. They started popping up immediately after I changed the oil. I don't recall touching or jarring anything, but seems like an odd coincidence. Took a look under the hood again, looked for a loose connector or something, but again didn't see anything I would have come close to touching. Thank you for any advice, Dave
  2. I have a 2011 Ford Fusion Sel 6 cyl 3.0 and have had the orange wrench light come on a few times the past couple of days. I have gotten two error codes according to my bosses scanner. I've looked them up, but most of the stuff I saw online was vague and just overall general stuff, was hoping someone who might be familiar with the car and/or codes could help me a little more so I know how to go about getting it fixed. The codes are: P2119 - Generic- Throttle Actuator Control Throttle body range/performance P06B8 - no description - had to look up online and got this - Internal Control Module Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM) Error Any help would be appreciated.
  3. The SRS light went on last week on my 2008 Ford Fusion. It remained on whenever I drove, which suggested that there was a larger problem with my car. I ordered an OBD2 scanner (the Autel Autolink AL619) to read the SRS code. When I plugged it into my Ford, it read codes B2293-A0, B2295, B2295-E0, and B1318-A0. I know that the first three codes are about the airbags and the last code is about the battery. After reading the codes, I then turned the car off. I thought maybe that I could look the codes up in my Ford owner's manual. While the codes weren't there, I did find some instructions about what to do when the SRS light goes on. The manual suggested that I look under the driver and passenger seats to see if anything was affecting the wiring. I noticed that the padded insulation on one of the wires under the passenger seat was coming off. I moved the wiring around gently to try to fix the issue. When I turned my car back on, the SRS was no longer lit. I thought this was strange, so I plugged in my OBD scanner again. Now the scanner is returning codes B2293-A0, B2295-A0, and B1318-A0. I turned my car on and off several more times to confirm that the SRS light did not come back on. I also consistently get the same codes (B2293-A0, B2295-A0, and B1318-A0) when I plug in my scanner. I have a few questions that I would appreciate any thoughts on -- (1) Since the SRS light has gone off, do I have to worry about the airbag codes anymore? (2) If it is an issue with the wiring under the passenger seat, should I be concerned that the wiring is faulty and will not deploy the airbag if there is a crash? (3) How can I tell whether the B2293-A0 and B2295-A0 are referring to the driver airbags or the passenger airbags? I got my passenger airbags replaced last year in the recall, and I am wondering if they might still be covered by warranty. Thank you so much for your help!
  4. Hello all! I have a 2006 SE 3.0 L V6... My issues started with an odd sputter while in park. Things got worse on the way home and the check engine light came on (wouldn't go above 40, shaking, etc...). The codes read multiple misfires on 4,5,6. We were told it was probably the PCM (apparently this model is notorious for PCM issues) so we took it to a shop and after 3 months of them working on it we called and they told us there was nothing wrong with the PCM and we should come pick it up, Also, the coils were not wet or dirty and seemed to have no cracking when we checked them. After putting the PCM back on, we started it to see if anything might have changed. At this point the check engine light was no longer on but the problems were still there. We also noticed that there was a loud knocking in the left side of the intake manifold. It sounded like something was loose. We removed the intake manifold and you could hear something rattle around that my husband could barely feel with his finger. The gaskets seemed in great condition. So......... I am having problems finding any information about that specific intake manifold and/or schematics for it (to try and figure out what was rattling). We are just trying to figure things out and would appreciate any and all info to help with any of the issues. My husband says I need more help than that LOL. We are just ready to pull our hair out and if money wasn't an issues, we would just bring it to the shop. THANKS!!!!
  5. 2008 Ford fusion S 76k miles. One or both of my O2 sensors have been out for about five months now (i just found out recently that they are pretty important to replace). About two months ago, i started up my car and the rpms went from about 1200 to about 800 and the wrench light came on. Car would be technically drivable but acceleration was about 60-70% of what it used to be. I looked at the forums and found that you can turn the key to the radio position for about 30 seconds and it would get rid of it. It went away for a couple of weeks but then reappeared. The wrench light became more frequent and putting the car into the radio position started not working. I thought my throttle body was going bad so i had my mechanic replace it. The wrench light still came on after it was replaced so he put back the original throttle body.Took it into a ford dealership with the wrench light on when they tested it and they said that they couldnt pull any codes. Because they couldnt pull any codes they think that it may be a shorted wire or something wrong with one of the wires. The invoice they printed off said "Inspected for fault will need to trace wiring harness to determine where break is in relation to secondary air injection circuit A out of range. may end up needing new pump could possibly take up to 5 hours to repair." I declined service because they said at the minimum it would cost $500 and i dont feel like they truly know whats going on with it. I wouldnt want them to tear into it and find nothing and i would be out $500. My thoughts are that it might be something to do with my o2 sensors needing replaced for so long. Any suggestions? TL:DR o2 sensors have been out for a while. wrench light came on. 60-70% of acceleration as before it happened. no wrench light codes were able to be pulled.
