  1. 2013 ford fusion recently had check charging system light come on. Replaced alternator amd battery, light still on. The advance track warning came on dash, along with park brake malfunction, see manual wrench light, and power steering assist fault will show on dash occasionally while driving, and then go off again. The power steering assist does occasionally cut out. Seems as though systems are not communicating. At first showed no codes, but just got a code of P0620 - generator control circuit. Car starts and runs fine. Snapchat-1318780651.mp4
  2. Recently, I had my gas cap threw a light. I checked for tightness and the the seal, but no problem. So with the light, ultimately I bought a new cap. Now, the guy at the store scanned for codes and there weren't any codes so I am thinking that it was just the cap, throwing the light. Also now, I have an engine light. But as I said before, i have no showing codes. So, with the new cap, how long should the computer take to cycle and clear the lights? Thank you, in advance. Carl
  3. Hey there, I'm having a couple issues with my car that could all be related, but I'm not sure, so I figured I'd pick the forum's brain to see if anyone else has had similar issues and possibly knows the cause. I have a 2010 Fusion SE, and I drive it maybe one per week, so the car is sitting in the garage quite a bit. The first time I had any issue the car had been sitting for two days. In that time I did access the car with my remote but did not start the engine. When I eventually did go to start my engine, the remote did not work. I used the key to open the door. When I put the key in the ignition and turned, the engine started, however I could not shift out of park. Most electronics didn't work either. The engine combustion seemed off too. The only electronics that seemed to work were the windshield wiper switch and the radio. The solution: I disconnected and then reconnected the battery and then the car worked fine. This situation happened again a couple months later, after the car was sitting for a couple days. This time I didn't even touch the car while it was sitting. Also, this time the engine wouldn't turn. Instead the car just emitted a clicking sound when I turned the ignition key. The solution: disconnect the battery and then jump the car. Since that time my car battery has died two times after sitting for several days. One time I checked the voltage and it read about 3.5V, however after it was fully charged it read 14V, so I don't think there are any bad cells. Either way I am going to get a new battery soon, but I don't believe the battery is necessarily the problem. One night I was outside and I noticed the car headlights and brake lights would briefly flash every few minutes. So I'm starting to think this is a computer problem. Has anyone had similar issues? Like I said, I am going to replace the battery soon. Also, I will probably try to see if the computer is throwing any error codes.
  4. Hey everyone. We've had the car a month, but having some issues and wondering if you all had any insight. I know it could be a number of things, but wanted to know if the issues are due to electronic/computer malfunction since it seems highly unlikely that it all happened at same time. 2011 Fusion Sport (17,000 miles) -Anti-theft: last week car would not start -locked & unlocked doors, pulled keys & then it started. Yesterday same thing, only wouldn't start - Came back 1/2 hour later and started. I know about the keys & keeping them separate/away from other transmitting devices so don't believe that is the source. -CK Engine / Throttle Control Light / Blindspot & Crosstraffic Fault (Message): All lit up at same time while driving down road this morning. Normal driving @ 60mph, not trying to pass, accelerate, etc. No acceleration, assuming due to Throttle Control. Ford forums great resource - have used them over the years with all of our Fords (Currently have 07 Expedition also). Greatly appreciate your help & feedback.

  6. Today I started my 2013 titanium with 2400 miles on it and it said " service stabile track traction control system". So it started and drove fine, except for the warning lights on. Then when I turned it off, it wouldn't start again, pushed start button and it acted like it was running, steering worked, could shift into drive, but no motor running. Called roadside assistant and as I was on the phone, I started car! So drove it to dealer service shop, turned it off and wouldn't start again, as the employee was in car. So, now they tell me that it has a corrupted computer program that they put in 2 weeks ago because of other problems that I have posted on this forum. The dealer doesn't know what to do, at this point. They gave me a crappy 4 cyl. Escape with 37000 miles on it for a rental. Now I have a 1500 mile trip planned this Monday, and I can't even take our new car! I will post things as I find out what they can do.
