Own a 2014 Fusion with Titanium trim. It just over 4 year's old. Despite my diligence in cleaning and feeding the car's leather, the thin - cheap grade leather on the armrest split. it gets better.....or should I say worse. As the rest of the car's leather is impeccable, I opted to replace the arm rest. Turns out you can't just purchase a replacement armrest...you have to purchase the entire assembly, including the metal mounting hinge. ($140) However, in reviewing and consulting with my dealer, it turns out the entire console needs to be removed to install this damn thing. Yep add another $375. in labor!!! Rather than design an obvious wear part in a simple way and allow for the ability to remove saw four screws/tabs from the underside of the armrest to replace it would been far more practical and a hell of a lot cheaper. I am infuriated that I am being gouged in this manner. Ford just created a heck of lot of negative goodwill with me....and the timing of such is at a time where I am actively shopping for a vehicle for my wife.

So as the title states I am looking to refurb this 'finish panel' as the prices for these pieces are a bit ridiculous. And as it is something to receive more wear and tear I'd like to be able to do it again when needed in the future. I am having some trouble finding paint though for it and confusion with color codes/numbers. The color code for my vehicle found inside driver door is 'DL'. From my searching online I believe the color to be Medium Light Stone(sometimes seen online as 1T3A). I am looking for any suggestions on sourcing products and doing myself. The following is a link for about the closest item I have found online. https://touchupdirect.com/shop/touch-up-paint/ford-medium-light-stone-interior-1t3/ Although it does have the number as 1T3 without the 'A' which is a bit concerning. I have also attached some photos of the piece to display the color. Again, any and all help is appreciated as I have done a decent amount of searching with very little luck. Maddening that Ford doesn't sell these paints anymore. They obviously want us to purchase new parts at the ridiculous prices. Side note: I know chrome pieces need some love also; but that is something I figure I could use a more generic product. And excuse the dirtiness. Need to get her cleaned up but it's been raining a good bit here recently in Texas.

I have this system coming in, and it should be here tomorrow: http://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PLCMDVR42 I am hoping that I can wire it into something up in the map light console, but I'm unsure if there's anything up there that would work. I have a 2012 Fusion SE and it is not equipped with a auto-dim mirror, just a standard old-school one with no cables/boxes coming out of the headliner. In the past (from experiences with my old mustang) I've noticed that Ford included the appropriate cables to plug-n-play add on accessories, but I'm not sure if that's still the case. If so, I could wire in to the cable that would be hanging out in the console not connected to anything. Does anyone have any experience with this type situation and could tell me if that cable is in there before I start taking my car apart? Also, if anyone has a wiring diagram for that cable could you post it for me?
