I have a 2008 Ford Fusion SE with 50,100 miles, which has a slight front end wobble or shaking issue when accelerating between the speeds of 20-25 mph which goes away after reaching 25mph. The tires are wearing perfectly. There are no noises, just a slight shimmy or shaking as previously stated. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I brought it in to a Ford dearer but they weren't able to pin it down at the time. But now that its getting more noticeable I plan on bringing it in again. Anyone have an ideas what they should be checking for? I live in Minneapolis, any suggestions on where to bring it to have it repaired. Thanks

Ok 2015 Fusion owners.... I've searched high and low for this and can't find anyone with the same issue. I picked up my Fusion in July band new and within a month I started to get this subtle "clunk" in the front right wheel. It has progressively gotten worse. The best way to describe it is like a hollow thumping or clunking sound and I keep thinking maybe it's a bad bushing or ball bearing. I haven't had a chance to crawl under and check (condo life... no where to do maintenance) so I'm hoping someone has any idea. I'm going to take it to the dealer as soon as I get a chance but have not been able to get there yet. This thing is practically brand new and I'm starting to get worried my wheel is going to fall off! Ideas?

I just bought a used Ford Fusion SEL 2006 FWD with 131,000km (81,400 miles) and noticed that the steering is stiff relative to the Ford Escape FWD (4 cyl). The salesman said that the "stiffness" is a typical behaviour for the Ford Fusion. However, according to the User Manual (pg 163) "..the steering in your vehicle is speed sensitive. At high speeds, steering assist will decrease to improve steering feel. At lower speeds, maneuverability will be increased". I'm not noticing any difference in steering maneuverability between highway and city driving -- the steering is stiff all the time. What would cause this problem? Also, I disagree with the Salesman 's opinion regarding the steering behaviour of the Ford Fusion. What is your opinion on the salesman's statement? Related to the steering issue, there is a slight pulling (drifting) to the right while driving on the highway. I've taken into consideration the crown in the road and tested for alignment on different sections on the highway and, in all cases, the car drifts to the right. Thanks in advanced... Ray
