  1. Dear fellows; I'm diagnosing a "crank & no start" condition in my 2010 3.0 V6 AWD that sat in the garage for a couple of years. Brand new battery; Oil + oil filter changed; The fuel pump itself got locked, so I replaced it for another with similar specs; Also replaced the pump strainer/sock + fuel pressure regulator preventively; Put the whole module to test at the work bench in a bucket with water - apparently it's working fine except for one aspect: the cup where the pump sits has to be overflowing with fuel during normal operation? If so, for some reason it's NOT happening here. I've seen videos on the subject where the mechanic/technician reports that that such overflow keeps the pump submerged in fuel, thus preventing overheating and a shorter life. I also would appreciate any help towards the identification of the module's components interconnected by a thin black hose... Tried to google technical diagrams and/or parts description of the module without sucess. I'll upload some pics soon. Thanks in advance and best regards!
  2. My Car: 2015 Ford Fusion SE 1.5L DL Turbo DOHC 4cyl, Black How do I get the fuel door assembly off of the car so I can fix the fuel door spring/hinge assembly? It does not look like there are any screw heads at all. The fuel door incorrectly wobbles up and down.
  3. I have a 2013 Fusion, the first few times this happened I was getting gas after running around town and I went to start the car and everything turned on, AC working radio working etc all like normal. But I couldnt accelerate at all, it would just shift into drive like normal and just coast. I would turn the car off and turn it back on and itd be fine. It didnt occur very often, maybe once or twice in several months. Then my AC went out, went and got the hose replaced since there was a leak. Got the car back from the shop and it started happening more frequently. Now its not just when getting gas but any random time I try to start it. The scariest part was when I was crossing a busy intersection and the engine just shut off and wouldnt accelerate, I had to throw my hazards on and pull over and turn it off then back on again. Went about my business and not even an hour later it did it again when I was pulling out of a driveway. Shortly after that I tried to take a look at it, popped the hood, turned the car on and it didnt even take 2 minutes before the engine just stopped running. Took it back to the shop and they have a few guesses, theyre thinking its one of the many fuel sensors. The check engine lights giving a couple codes but they cant tell which ones doing it, especially because they cant seem to replicate the issue at their shop. Car isnt under warrenty and after being told I could drop anywhere from $200-$1000 to replace the sensors and it still might not work Im honestly at a loss. Has anyone else had this issue and managed to fix it for good?
  4. Hi all I'm brand new here. Have a huge issue. I just installed a used and tested 2.3 in my 2006 Fusion. The car has spark and fuel. It will not start. The spark is weak and orange. I swapped out all the coil packs with known good ones. What am I missing? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  5. Hello all, I have spent a couple hours trying to find the Fuel Filter part number and location on my 2013 EcoBoost fusion. Does anyone know the part I need and the location of the filter? Part is nowhere to be found on the Ford parts catalog. I saw some videos on YouTube for the location but all of them where different engines to mine so I'm not sure. Also, I found a motorcraft PN on Autozone but Ford's catalog says that part number is not for my car. Please let me know if you need more info. Thank you.
  6. I know that we as Fusion Owners worry about Engine Deposits on our Direct Injection engines, especially those of us with the Ecoboost Engines. Just thought this article would be of interest. http://www.aaa.com/AAA/common/AAR/files/Fuel-Quality-Full-Report.pdf http://www.toptiergas.com/licensedbrands/ http://newsroom.aaa.com/2016/09/u-s-drivers-waste-2-1-billion-annually-premium-gasoline/
  7. So I've had my 2010 ford Fusion for 5 years now and it just started showing this behavior. Basically after driving for 350+ miles and the tank is relatively empty, when I take it to the gas station it trips the nozzles after like half a gallon, and proceeds to do this over and over and over. As I live in Oregon and it's illegal to fill up your own gas its quite annoying to have to have the guy stand there and fill it up. Any ideas?
  8. Hey guys, just watched the movie Pump on Netflix and was wondering if my Fusion Titanium Ecoboost could actually run on E85 fuel or can be modified to be able to run on a different fuel source? What would be the pros and cons to this alternative if possible?
  9. According to the owners manual for the 2013 Ford Fusion, the gas tank holds 63 litres. When the on-board computer tells me that I have 0kms until empty, I fill up the car until the pump kicks out twice. However, I can only put 50 litres of fuel in it. (The most I've ever been able to put in is 51 litres) So basically, there is 12 litres of fuel in the gas tank that I cannot use. Has any one else experienced this issue with the 2013 Fusion? BTW, I have the 2.5 litre engine.
