  1. I replaced my headlights last week with some HID / LED and they absolutely sucked so I wanted to go back to stock. While the HID's were still installed the drivers high beam and drivers fog light went out. I replaced the HID / LED bulbs with the factory ones and they still don't work. I have tried checking some of fuses blind because there isn't a dedicated fuse for them so I have no idea where to start. Things i have done. The bulbs are good (tested on passenger side) Driver headlight housing is good and high beam is working (tested on passenger side plug) Confirmed power is not getting supplied to the high beam at the connection to the housing Confirmed power is not getting supplied to the fog light at the connecting driver wheel well area Please help
  2. Hello all. Just stumbled upon this forum and looking for help or advice! I just recently bought a 2009 ford fusion with about 130k and solid shape. No rust, interior clean, new tires, brakes, etc. Overall a solid purchase for $2300. Just needed a new battery and bled the air out of the breaks. Now here is my question. The only thing that I cannot figure out is how to tackle the problem I have with my instrument panel. All the gauges work but I am not getting my 1. Odometer display 2. Brights indicator 3. Seatbelt light 4. Possibly check engine light (since they are next to each other) 5.Change oil light (same reason Etc. All the ones in the middle above the odometer display My turn signals work but that is all on the panel. Gauges and turn signals. I'm wondering how to go about this. Is there a fuse for the indicators on the panel or is this possibly a wire/bad soder? Any info is much appreciated. I've read if I bang on the dash the solder could reconnect but no luck, I've been looking for the fuse that controls the instrument panel but can't really find it in the manual. Thanks, Slizza
  3. Hi guys, Im looking for some wisdom. Recently I tried to update the sync version of my fusion 2013, Bluetooth and everything was fine but I wanted to install the update. Problem is, while installing the update I turned off the engine, by mistake and the installation process was interrupted, after that the screen doesn't show the menu of the buttons "phone and media", if I push any of this buttons the screen just blink and show me the radio station, and when I tried to hit the menu button only show the menu of the radio and audio station, I don't have access to do a master reset or anything related to sync. So far I've tried by disconnecting the battery ( positive and negative) , disconnect and connect the fuse 32 and 33 without luck. Radio, CD, Sirius and clock menu are working properly.
  4. I have a Ford Fusion 2010, my model doesn't have the Autolamp control function. So here is the story: one of the license plate bulbs went off, so I decided to replace them both with new LED bulbs. After installing just one new LED, I decided to test it, turned the lights control on only to discover that now both tail lights (and license plate lights too) do not work. Headlamps are okay as well as the rear turn signal, brake lights and rear gear light are -- all work fine. This doesn't look like the bulb issue, since both tail lights and the license plate don't work (would be a big coincidence!). However, they definitely worked about a week ago just before I removed the broken license plate bulb. Could it be that something could have gone bad in circuitry when I installed a non-OEM license plate bulb? Did anybody have a problem like this or have a suggestion what to try before bring the car to a shop? Thank you!

    Cruise Control

Hello, First of all I love my fusion. I have one problem. The cruise control does not work at all. No light, nothing. The fuses are ok and the brake lights work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I would love any suggestions. I have an 07 Fusion SEL V6
  6. 2009 ford fusion. I use the cigarette lighter to charge my phone but it stopped working. I figure changing the fuse is easy, right? But I cant figure out which one to switch. I looked up the manual, but it doesn't seem to match?
  7. I've been searching this for a while and can't find the information I am looking for. I installed HID's with a relay and capacitor and blew out two different ballasts. After contacting the manufacturer, the problem seems that I still have the DRL's running. My car doesn't have the option to turn them off, and the dealer wants $60 to do this, which is ridiculous. I was hoping to either find the fuse and remove it, or download the VCM software to do it myself as I already have a cable. Well, I can't find which fuse it is, and I can't find the software for a cheap price. Anyone have any help or advice on what they did??
  8. PLEASE HELP!!! all i did was disconnect the battery to locate some wires. 2 hours later i reconnected the wires to the battery terminal. there was a spark when i reconnected the positve back. no, I didn't connect the wires to the wrong terminals, and I didn't do any wire splicing so it's not possible that any wires were crossed. i'm a tech/mechanic by trade, so i'm pretty meticulous with procedure. i checked all the fuses in all 4 compartments(1@ sjb, 3 in engine compartment), pulled each and every one out, checked visually and with the multimeter. i also checked to make sure all the relays are working. all fuses checked out okay. the car starts, but the digital displays don't work, turn signals do not work, power steering doesn't work. radio doesn't work, key remote doesn't work, headlights and foglights turn on, but cannot high beam. winshield wiper works, but winshield spraying doesn't work. lights to interior control only go on for a few seconds when i press the radio on button. driver's side control to windows and lock/unlock do not work, nor mirrors, nor seat memory. window controls to all other 3 doors work, sunroof works, both power seat controls work, but heated seats do not. trunk doesn't open when button is pressed from inside or out, but keypad controls work. so right now my driver's side windows are left open. i went to 4 mechanics who are already charging an arm and a leg to just look at it. hence the reason i never go to mechanics, i do repair and maintenance myself. but these new cars these days are crazy PLEASE HELP? what could have possibly went wrong? it's not making any sense! any ideas or suggestions please!!!! 2014 ford fusion se, 39k, 2.0 ecoboost.
  9. The manual does not state which fuse or even which panel the front accessory power module is located. Does anyone know? Thanks!
