2016 Ford Fusion Titanium. I appear to be stumped. This problem occurred to me around a week ago. While the AC is on full blast I took temperatures with a thermometer that read that my drivers side air vents were pushing air out at about 10-15 degrees warmer than my passenger side. But when I turned the fan speed down to about the middle, the temperatures go back to being even. Through some searching I thought it would be the blend door actuator, replaced that...nothing. I really don't know what else it could be. I don't think my AC system needs a recharge because the passenger side is blowing cold air out just fine, but I might be wrong. Any help would be well received, it's been over 100 degrees where I live the past week with it just getting hotter. -
Hey, Hi! So as the tittle says, I have a problem with my fusion 2012 2.5L and idk what to do honestly. So my car shakes once i put it in drive or reverse only on those 2 but it does shakes more in drive at iddle, wanna also say that it shakes even more when i turn AC on, if i put in In Park or Neutral it doesn't shake, only in D and a little bit in R. I already changed motor mounts and did a fully tune up, thats including cleaning the sensors. Thanks!

So the transmission dial in my 2017 fusion makes noise the moment I get into the car before I start it. It used to do this then stop which I think is the proper routine. However now whenever I enter the car it immediately starts making some kind of buzzing/electronic noise until I start on the car or legitimately slap it. No joke if I lightly slap the dial it immediately stops. I have never taken apart transmission dial assembly but I assume the dial is attempting to catch on something however fails to unless I apply force or start the car. I will ask my mechanic (who is the mechanic for my local ford dealership) once my oil change comes around. Also recently my dial has been freezing and locking up however, it only happens maybe once a week or every other week and immediately corrects itself. any thoughts/ideas on what's causing this?

Hello all. Just stumbled upon this forum and looking for help or advice! I just recently bought a 2009 ford fusion with about 130k and solid shape. No rust, interior clean, new tires, brakes, etc. Overall a solid purchase for $2300. Just needed a new battery and bled the air out of the breaks. Now here is my question. The only thing that I cannot figure out is how to tackle the problem I have with my instrument panel. All the gauges work but I am not getting my 1. Odometer display 2. Brights indicator 3. Seatbelt light 4. Possibly check engine light (since they are next to each other) 5.Change oil light (same reason Etc. All the ones in the middle above the odometer display My turn signals work but that is all on the panel. Gauges and turn signals. I'm wondering how to go about this. Is there a fuse for the indicators on the panel or is this possibly a wire/bad soder? Any info is much appreciated. I've read if I bang on the dash the solder could reconnect but no luck, I've been looking for the fuse that controls the instrument panel but can't really find it in the manual. Thanks, Slizza

So since I've bought this car the interior dome light only comes on if i manually turn it on. I've checked the dome and there is only on and off position..(pretty strange considering I've had older cars with basic trim package that had them). I've tried the interior light dial and it only works to dim the dash lights and when i put it all the way up it doesn't turn the dome on. Am i missing something? Apparently the interwebs in all her vastness doesn't have any info on this and its getting frustrating. My goal is to hard wire leds to the dome but there is no door feature so it would be a waste to have to manually turn them on every time. Any info is greatly appreciated thanks.

So my 2010 Ford Fusion will shake when i am at a stop but as soon as i give it gas it will be fine. Only happens when it is in drive or Reverse and i have the brake pressed down. I have changed the Spark plugs, Valve cover gasket, Belt drive and pulleys and nothing it still shakes. Could someone help please it shakes the steering wheel and interior. It doesn't shake while stopping it only shakes when at a complete stop. Also The car makes a weird rattle noise when i accelerate too hard usually at about 1800- 2300 RPM but only in first and third gear. Please help.

So I own a 2010 ford fusion 2.5 Fwd I changed the radiator the thermostat the water pump and now the vehicle is still over heating the lower radiator hose has fluid in it the upper radiator hose has no fluid the is fluid getting to the water pump because there is a small leak in the water pump. But I have no way over knowing whether it's a blockage in the radiator or the block and how would I diagnose that

Hi all.i.need some.help. jus got another fusion cuz it was too.good.of a.deal.but its been a pita. My.fuel pump runs constantly koeo and it causing it not to start. No cel an i.dont.know where to.start ive replaced fuel.pump. fuel.pump.relay. just need a diagram of the fuel.pump wires. The 4 wires that connect to.it -
I recently bought a used 2010 Fusion fender because mine is all dented up. We verified through vin number that the colors and models were the same. I started to take my fender off and was able to take off the bolts under the hood, under the cap in the corner by the windshield, the pins on the liner to get the screw off, and the bolts under the car. I tried to take it off and it still seems connected at the door area. I noticed there are 2 stud like thing (not screws or bolts) sticking through holding the fender on about 1/3 and 2/3 of the way down on the door sill when I open the door. There is also a bolt 1/2 way down in the same place, I believe that those 3 things attached to the frame are causing the fender to stay on, I've also detached the clips from the bumper so there shouldn't be a problem their either. If anyone has a method or solution, please just comment below. Thanks for the help!!!

Hello everyone I have a 2008 Ford Fusion 3.0l V6 which rusted the tube that connects the engine block with the water pump hose. I've tried to find the part, but I'm not sure what it could be. I found this tube that looks like the one that broke through the rust. Anyone who knows the part number? Hello. I have a 2013 Fusion SE, single exhaust. It’s way too quiet for me. I’d like to get a muffler installed but I have no clue what to ask for. I visited a local muffler shop today and he told me “straight pipe” would be the loudest I could get it, but I hear that’s illegal when it comes to smoging and such. I’d like it loud but I don’t want to have to worry about tickets or whatever may come witb an illegal exhaust. I added a video of what I’d like it to sound similar to. Good afternoon everyone, I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL with a 3.0L V6. I recently had the front windshield replaced. I have rain sensing wipers and all the sudden they do not work.... When you turn the knob once they cycle but after that they do not come on again. The only time they work is on high or ultra high. I was doing some research and cannot find anything on the rain sensing wipers for a ford, or any problems. I did however find different vehicles with rain sensing wipers and how a fix to this problem would be to reset the system.. Does anyone know if there is a way to reset it or what to do to get them to work again???? Thank you!! -
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my car and hopefully get a ballpark idea of how much it will cost to fix it. About a two months ago my check engine light came on. I scanned for the code and it came back P1450 which is for the EVAP. I took it to a local mechanic who claims they fixed it but the light came back on two hours later. When i called to complain they told me to take my car to a ford dealership because they thought they fixed it and if they didn't, they didn't know how. It doesn't seem to really do anything being on except whenever I get gas, my car won't turn on for like 5-10 minutes. But then last night, I was in the middle of driving (about 35-40 mph) and my car just turned off. The dash light came on saying the car wasn't in park (obviously). I pulled over and turned the car all the way off and back on again and it has been fine sense. It scared the crap out of me though. The other issue is that about a month ago, every time I pulled out of a parking space or turn my wheel slowly, this god awful noise came from what sounded like the front passenger side of my car. Intermittent steering squeaking a friend called it. But it suddenly stopped about two weeks ago. The only think I hear now is an occasionally creaking noise when I drive coming from under the car. I had a friend lift the car up and look and he found nothing wrong with it so I think it might be okay but I'm still a little concerned. Any ideas would be helpful! I've only had my car a little over two years and I'm only the second driver. Less than 80,000 miles. I got brand new tires in January, a new wheel barring in September. I don't beat her up, just my daily driver to and from work which is only about 20 miles each way. -

First off, I've tried searching multiple fusion threads but I havn't come across any similar threads with my same specific issues. So i'm hoping i can get some ideas on a diagnosis. I've taken the car into the dealer before on the issue, they blamed the worn out tires and sent me on my way (I've replace those now with zero change on the issue). Here's the quick explanation: The faster I go, the more I hear a hum, vibration, and now more recent a hum/vibration/grinding sound coming from the front engine bay of the car. I've been trying to diagnose it for awhile now (i'm fairly car savy) but this one stumps me. Here are a couple points that might help in diagnosing the issue: The noise is directly related to the speed of the car and the input on the gas peddle. When above 45MPH I start to hear the hum/grind of the noise above the regular road noise and it is progressively more noticeable as the speed increases. Between 80-85 MPH the hum/grind noise hits its peak and sounds like it resonates with the resonating point of the car. Its as bad as a high revving 4 banger with an exaust leak. At all speeds I can press and unpress the gas peddle to momentarily make the hum/grind noise to go away but it will then return after half a seconds time. If I leave the peddle press or unpressed(decelerating in the process) the hum/grind noise is constant. Forcing the car to change gears has no effect on the pitch or sound of the hum/grind noise. "Only the speed and gas peddle inputs change to pitch and momentarily make the hum/grind turn off for a moment" Things I believe I've ruled out: Out of balance tires or rims, breaks or rotors. Driver side front wheel bearing (replaced), I don't think its the passenger front either (No change in noise by harsh steering adjustments) Things I'm worried about: Drive train? Half Axles? Transmission? Engine mounts or linkages? Intake or exhaust issues? Turbo Issue? (I still have great performance tho) Any thoughts? Those are some potentially BIG and EXPENSIVE repairs that would be above my DIY car repair level. So i've been reluctant to bring my car in for diagnosis but its getting worse and now sound more like a vibration/hum with grinding as opposed to more a hum/vibration like it was 5k miles ago. Hi everyone, I've been reading through this forum and others to try to figure out a strange noise coming from my 2011 Ford Fusion SE with no luck. I only notice the noise when it is hot outside, like more than 70F. It doesn't matter how long I have been driving. It's a creaking/knocking noise that seems like it's coming from the front of the vehicle. I hear it when I turn the steering wheel and also whenever the entire body of the car moves up and down (like when a person gets in and out of the driver's or passenger's seat. I took it to the Ford dealership about two weeks because I thought it might be the power steering since I hear the noise when turning the steering whee.l It was cold and rainy that day and the dealership didn't hear anything so they didn't fix anything. I have uploaded a video of the sound I keep hearing. You can hear it inside and outside the vehicle. This was the sound at its worst when it was about 85F outside. Hi, I'm having an issue with my 2006 Fusion. The piano black door pillar post trim (passenger side, rear) has bent outwards, separated from the body of the car, and now becomes stuck on my front passenger doorframe every time I open the door. This has bent the trim panel & makes it difficult to open and close the door without causing more damage. The trim is bent now and looks awful, and I'm afraid to open my front passenger door. Has anyone ever seen this issue with a fusion before? Any advice as to how I should fix it? I'm including a picture showing the panels in question circled. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, This has been happening for about 3 weeks now. After my car runs for about ~3 minutes, this noise (video in link) will continuously happen. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot! One weird thing to note is that it will temporarily stop whenever I press the gas going into a turn, but then it returns as soon as I am going straight again -
I recently bought a preowned 2016 fusion. Long story short I love it. My only quirks is that the last owner scratched up the trim so its all chipped up and its very noticeable and it annoys me. I know how to remove the center dash trim but not the rest so if you can link me to videos on how to do that I'd greatly appreciate it. My real question is what color should I paint it. The car it magnetic metallic so im not thinking anything flashy. I want personality so i don't want to go straight to black. I appreciate any suggestions.

Hey guys, 08 ford fusion 5-speed. In the last year, i have replaced both front struts (twice), both sway bar links (twice) and the outer tie rods. I also replaced the strut mounts with brand new units both times. I put monroe sensa tracs on the first time and started to get a "clunking" noise, i took it to get an inspection where i was told everything is tight and that it is the nature of the Monroe struts. I did some research and found that KYB struts are OEM so after some time and gradual increase to the "clunking" noise, i installed KYB struts. Both times i replaced the sway bar links for good measure. Now that i have the KYB struts it was nice and quiet for almost 2 weeks, now i get a "rattle" noise without a lot of suspension travel, just a small bumb at low speed all the way up to faster speeds, same "rattle" I took it again this morning for an inspection and was told that everything is tight. I have physically checked every bolt, bushing and component in the front end and am now at a loss... Any and all help would be substantially appreciated. Thanks

Hello everyone, New to the forum, but been searching for a while. I have a 2015 Fusion SE with the small screen radio ( non-touchscreen ). I like the way it sounds but I want to add an amp and subwoofer. I was hoping to add it to the factory head unit. Is there a place to hook it up to behind that, or do I need to cut into rear speakers? Also looking to find where to wire the amp on/off wire so it shuts off with the car. Any help is appriciated. Thanks.

My first problem is i cant find all the interior bulb sizes. The next is how do i change the bulbs i figured out the trunk but not the dome lights. The next is it legal to have blue interior lights ?

Was driving on highway at around 60 mph in my 2010 FFH (around 80,000 miles) and multiple brake lights came on. I gently tapped on my brakes and realized that my brakes weren't working. I was thankfully able to exit the highway safely by choosing a long, uphill exit and pushing the brake pedal all the way down to the ground. I turned the car off and the brake lights disappeared. I took the car to the dealer and they said that a battery, which they had replaced in January, had failed, which prompted the brakes to fail. My concern is that how do I know this next battery won't fail -- with zero warning -- and prompt my brakes to fail again. I feel incredibly lucky to be typing this, because the outcome could have been very different, given the fact that I was driving 60 mph and had no brakes! Has anyone else experienced this?
