Hello, I was looking to get a new headlight assembly for my '15 Fusion and I am a bit confused...both the low beam and the high beam appear to be projection lenses (like the low beam OEM) but for some reason the seller insists that the low beam HAS to take D2H bulbs (HID) even though the high beams take H1 bulbs. Is there something that I am missing here? Would it still work if I installed the regular bulbs (H7 and H11)? Thanks to anyone who has any insight on this! -
I've been searching this for a while and can't find the information I am looking for. I installed HID's with a relay and capacitor and blew out two different ballasts. After contacting the manufacturer, the problem seems that I still have the DRL's running. My car doesn't have the option to turn them off, and the dealer wants $60 to do this, which is ridiculous. I was hoping to either find the fuse and remove it, or download the VCM software to do it myself as I already have a cable. Well, I can't find which fuse it is, and I can't find the software for a cheap price. Anyone have any help or advice on what they did??

Good Morning all! This is my first car that I've ever purchased (albeit a used car ) and ever since then I've been looking up ways to 'improve' my car. I started off by buying an HID conversion kit from OPT7. I bought an 8k 55w Slim OPT7 AC HID Conversion kit off of eBay from opt7-lighting themselves. I've been reading and people are talking about if they are 'slim' conversion kits a wiring harness is usually not needed - others say different. I have some Sylvania ZXE Xeon bulbs on right now in the car - (and they SUCK). The bulb packaging for the ZXE say the bulbs are 12.8v, 55w like the HID kit? Thanks for all your help! Hi everyone, I am hoping to do a HID retrofit on my 2006 Milan. It currently has the stock halogen projectors, and I was wondering if anyone on here knows, or has done a successful retrofit on this particular housing. I am interested in what projectors could fit, and preferably ones that will bolt right in place of the old ones. -

I had DDM 5000k kit installed on the low beam of my 2012 Ford Fusion SEL. At first, they did not work. When turned on just a flash. After using relay and capacitors with the kit, the lights worked fine for about a month. Days ago, they returned to the state before using relay and capacitors. I thought the DRL function damaged the relay, so I went to the dealer to have the DRL disabled. Today I measured the voltage of the stock low beam wire, when the car and light switch is off, the reading is about 8v. When the lights are turned on, the reading is about 12v. I also changed the relay to see if that can fix the problem, but it did not. Would someone please help me analyze what the problem is? The voltage reading when the lights turned off should be 0v, otherwise the battery will be drained? Is it possible the SJB has been fried? Or, perhaps when the dealer tried to disable the DRL, they did something wrong? -

Hi! Did anyone before try installing HID on Ford fusion 2010. The passenger side is really tight and still not sure how hard would it be to get to the low beam from under the wheel. Any suggestions? -
Hello All, I am mulling over putting in a HID kit for my Fusion. I prefer 5,000K for the car, I think that 6k is to blue, and the 5k has more of a blue tint than 4,300k. I don't want to run into issues with a cheap and poorly constructed kit. I was wondering what would be recommended for a quality HID kit. Thanks, Joe

Last summer (2012) I put 8000k HIDs in for my low beams. They worked fine until around September. The driver side light always works but the passenger side will randomly not turn on. When this happens, the ballast makes a short loud buzz and the light fails to ignite. Sometimes (rarely) the light will come on after turning the headlights on and off a couple times. Other times both lights will work perfectly. Sometimes, the light will both work and fail in the same day. I've never had the light turn off while it worked (during driving). Any one have this problem, a solution, or any ideas for this problem? Thanks

I could call it a stupid question, but it seems like a good idea to me... Recently Ive come across A LOT of info about HID lights and kits, and most recently info about retrofitting. The idea I had come to mind was attempting to retrofit the fog lights so that they were HID, as well as fitting them with halos. I cant seem to find any information from anywhere that anyone has done anything similar to this to a 2010-2012 Fusion, but my main concerns are: 1. If the retrofit kit would fit in the same hole where the current projector is (What size? I was thinking of the morimoto mini stage 3 kit, using the mini graphite shroud and white xb halos) 2. If the new projector would be able to be exposed like the current halogen projector is, or if it has to be sealed in a housing like a headlight?
