  1. Hello, im new to this forum so please excuse my non-complete profile. Anyway, I just bought a used 2015 Ford Fusion SE with 31,000 miles. I have had no issues so far, but just today I put the key in the ignition turned it over and it didn't start right away. I let go for about three seconds and it started up after turning the key. It happened twice in one day, but every time I turn the car off and then start it back up it is fine in succession. I hope it's not the fuel pump or something costly. I just recently got the car on September 7th, at a certified Ford Dealer, and I'm concerned that there is something wrong already. Please someone end my madness!
  2. My key is stuck in my ignition. Dealer says to just replace ignition. I assume that will be costly and I'll have to pay to have keys reprogrammed. Has anyone else had issues with this? I've read a lot about this issue with the older style Fusions, but I can't find anything with the new body style. They've changed the shifter with the new body style.
  3. So, like the title says, the car tries meekly to start, but won't. Got it jumped to get home. Once home, I hooked it to a digital charger and it said it's 100%. Tried to start again, turns over weakly and will not start. No indication that there was an impending problem before this; started just fine before with no issues. Any advice or known issues are welcome. Thanks!
  4. does anyone know if the ignition harness current is high or low? low current would be less than 3A on the CONSTANT 12V, low current would be less than 3A on the GROUND low current would be less than 1A on the STARTER 12V thanks in advance. I've been trying to acquire this info by googling for over 12 hours now.
  5. Last night I had a set of Focal PS 165 component speakers installed in my front doors, powered by an JL Audio XD400/4 amplifier. The Head Unit is stock as well as the rear doors. Everything sounds great, my only issue is that when I turn off the ignition the amplifier turns off, thus cutting signal to my front speakers, only the rear speakers continue to play until the door is opened. This isn't such a big deal, but I'm wondering if anybody knows a better wire to connect the remote wire to so that the amp doesn't turn off until I open the doors like the head unit does. For reference I have a 2011 Fusion SEL with Sync and 6-speaker audio (not Sony). Thanks in advance!
  6. Hello Fellow Fusion Owners, I have a 2006 Ford Fusion and my key is stuck in the ignition and won't come out. It happened earlier, I went to pick some things up at my cousins house and got home and went to pull the key out the ignition and realized it was stuck. It turns on and off but just doesn't want to come out of the ignition. I have had this vehicle for about 3 years now and have not ever had this problem nor have I ever heard of this problem. Requesting some assistance. Thank you!
  7. OK please help if you can. My wife has a 2007 fusion w/ 3.0 V-6 ( 63000 miles) She gets home and 2 hrs late I take her car to go drop off movies (it was raining) The car boggs down wont even go 10 mph. I go to Auto shack to borrow their scanner. (yeh engin light came on) I got the code PO353 third cylindar coil, first/secondary . I'm not up on all the computer stuff (and probably should have a professional do this but I don't have the cash. So I researched on line and went thorough the following steps. 1. I replaced that plug. (still missfiring) 2 Replaced all the plugs. (Still misfiring but not as bad about 85% of where the car should be) 3 replace coil pack for no3 Cyl. ( Still nothing) 4 switched new coil pack to another cyl to make sure it worked (Yes it did) 5 pulled connectors one at a time from front bank coils to see difference in rpm change (all three worked) 6. Was able to reach underneath intake and pull connector on number 3 coil pack (no change plugged or unplugged. still missing. cylindar order firewall 1-2-3 4-5-6 radiator I have no idea at this point nor do I have the tools to go any further. I take it to a shop and they tell me what I already know except for this They tell me the firing order is 1-3-5 2-4-6 Ok that would explain that I changed the wrong coil pack but it doesn't explain why i didn't get spack from (what I thought was number 3 coil) HELP!!!! Is my firing order right or his? He said that was the order ghe got from his scanner. but I haven't been able to fing anything online to corroborate this........
