  1. Sold my 2017 2.0 Ecoboost Fusion a few months ago so selling the intake from it. Intake and air box are in very good condition and comes fully assembled along with install instructions. Asking $150. Will cover shipping to lower 48.
  2. Looking for some direction at changing the spark plugs on my 2012 3.0 SEL. I've watched many video's but none show my engine and am getting a little frustrated. Can anybody point me in the direction to a video that has this style of intake. I cant seem to get the weird rubber hose off the back of the air inake plenum (between the sensor and fuel line). Do I need to disconnect the fuel line at the front of the engine? Does the throttle body need to be removed to get at a bracket or something underneath it? I can't see anything holding it. A link to a proper video would be awesome.
  3. First post here, having some issues with my 2014 1.5 fusion and would appreciate any help you guys could offer. I’ve had it for about 5000 miles and it’s been just fine until a few weeks ago when it developed a bad misfire when accelerating onto the highway. I stopped and could see that the whole intake manifold was trying to pull away from the block and the bolt by the alternator was loose. I tightened just that one bolt up to get it home and it was ok. It’s been driven a little bit since then and it seems like occasionally it’ll misfire bad and you can turn the car off and turn it back on again and it’s fine. I’m assuming this is related to the intake manifold being loose and I want to take it off, clean the valves, and put it all back together to make sure it’s all torqued right and doesn’t loosen up again. The problem I’m having is that I can’t get the little cooler that’s in the front of the manifold out. There’s some a/c lines in the way. Has anyone been able to get it off without removing those lines? I’ll take them off if I have to but don’t have anyway to recover the Freon so I’d have to pay to get it recharged. Any advice on taking this intake off would be very appreciated. Thanks!
  4. New to fusions. Have owned a 93 gst eclipse, and a 2004 srt 4. Non turbos 95 prelude, 01 prelude, 05 is 300, 04 acura rsx type s. Did alot of ebay parts on the non turbos. Are the ebay parts for the fusions any good? On both turbos did hard pipes, bov, intake, and tune. How small are the turbos on these cars? Are they worth switching out? I have a 2015 se 2.0. Im looking into the k and n intake and a bov to start bolt ons. Its nice to be here and thanks for any advice in advance.

  6. Hi, so i bought my fusion a few months ago with 97k and a 12,000 mile warranty. I noticed the engine was making a knocking noise, so i took it back to the dealer. the mechanic told me it was th "shutter valves" in the intake, that the rod they rest on was loose and they were rattleing. he unplugged a vacum line on the intake and the noise stopped. my warranties almost up and i wanto go ahead and fix the noise (its rather embarassing, and it makes me nervous) Have any of you ever heard of the itake manifold causing a noise like this? I dont really trust the dealer i bought the car from now, as they have weaseled their way out of several issues on the warranty like warped break rotors, 2 bad axles and so on. n another note, does anyone know if these engines have VVT i know some of the 2.3 engines did .i just helped my friend replace the vvt on his mazdaspeed 6 2.3 MZR (i know different design) Im told that failing VVT can sound similar.

    putting magna flow cat-back exhaust sytem, steeda cold air intake and throttle body spacer, along with the SCT Xcalibrator 3 Tuner. Does anybody out there got some real numbers for hp gain. or suggestions for different route

Ok guys, i just got a little bit of money and im trying to choose between a f35r Gen2 intake or a steeda tuner. i cant decide what one to get. i race at the local track once a week (1/8th mile) and i need to know what would benifit me more. if anybody has the tuner and has passes on a 1/8 mile track please tell me your numbers . thanks
  9. I am interested in what you guys think on cold air intakes. This is my first car with an air intake resonator so I'm not sure what to do. Everyone knows a cold air intake gives you a few ponies, and makes the engine sound like it has some beef. The issue I'm struggling with is, is it worth removing the resonator and factory intake for a cai? From everything I am reading the resonator provides you with more low end torque, and I can attest to this being true as I removed the resonator briefly to see if there was a change in power. So my question is, is the loss of that worth the few hp you gain from the 240$ spent on a cai, or is it a wash? Am I better off just tossing in a K&N air filter and calling it a day? Any opinions are welcome, I really would like to know what you guys think on this.. even better if you have installed a cai and felt the change.
