  1. Hi, I just bought a 2011 V6 Ford Fusion SEL on Thursday and have noticed the cabin air pressure to be so great it is giving me headaches. I used to drive a 1996 Oldsmobile, and I realize newer cars are sealed better, but I've ridden in and driven other vehicles without this issue. Even short drives to the grocery store are resulting in pressure. This occurrs when the windows are up, and no I don't have the recirucaling air button on. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on or how to fix it? Thank you in advance for any help. I'm really kind of upset over this.
  2. So since I've bought this car the interior dome light only comes on if i manually turn it on. I've checked the dome and there is only on and off position..(pretty strange considering I've had older cars with basic trim package that had them). I've tried the interior light dial and it only works to dim the dash lights and when i put it all the way up it doesn't turn the dome on. Am i missing something? Apparently the interwebs in all her vastness doesn't have any info on this and its getting frustrating. My goal is to hard wire leds to the dome but there is no door feature so it would be a waste to have to manually turn them on every time. Any info is greatly appreciated thanks.
  3. I just bought a 2012 Ford Fusion and was not aware that it had ambient lighting until after I bought it. The ambient lighting does not work. When I press the button, nothing happens. Everything else in the car works perfect - heated seats, dimming rear view mirror - etc. I tried putting in a new fuse and that made no difference. What could be causing the issue and how do I fix it?
  4. Hey guys i needed help with something. So I've got a 2016 fusion SE FWD, it has the tech package with heated front seats and the fully motorized seats. I'm purchasing leather seats out of a 2019 AWD fusion titanium that has the same motorized controls but both heated and cooled seats. Does anyone know if this will be plug and play for the whole process or will i need to do some work with the wiring to make everything work? I don't necessarily need cooled seats but if its no extra work besides downloading the new sync program to control them I'd do it. Also i know with the old models the rear seats from the AWD dont fit in the FWD cars but is it the same for the new model fusions, and will i have to fabricate something to get them to fit? Thank you all in advance!
  5. Does anyone know of a list of LED interior lights for the 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid? Are they the same as previous years? If so, are there any videos showing how to swap all interior lights? The lights in the car are bright, but I think cool white would look even better. I’m a neat freak and I detail my car weekly and not only would this help to point out imperfections, but it will also further show how clean I keep my interior. I’m also looking for any cool ideas to make my car look even nicer as it is brand new to me, I just purchased it two days ago. Thanks for any help! Dmaxard
  6. I have a 2016 fusion se with cloth seats. I found a set of leather seats to swap into my car, but the power driver's seat didn't work after install. There are two connectors on the leather seat (one for heated seats?) but one matched perfectly with the car's harness. The airbag light is also on. Is there anything I can do to make this work?
  7. Hello all, ive had my 2011 fusion SEL for almost a year and i love it. When i bought the car the ambient lighting on the interior worked perfectly fine and was in good condition. Maybe late January i noticed that when i turned off my ambient lighting, it will no longer turn back on. I checked the #41 15A fuse that the manual said was connected to the ambient lighting and the fuse looked in great condition. Has anybody else had this problem or know how to solve this problem? I was hoping it would be an easy fix.
  8. I am installing 5 led single lights, one in each door, one in the front center cubby hole. 2014 fusion eco-boost 2.0L. where do i wire them all to so they only come on with the dash back-lighting as well as be dimmed with the rest of the dash lighting as well. ?
  9. I have a 2007 Ford Fusion which I purchased new. My interior is a nightmare. The front drivers seat developed a hole while under warranty. Dealer replaced cover but it has now developed a hole in the same place. Where it is at there is no way to install a seat cover because of the side airbags so the padding is falling out. The headliner fell down in the back which the dealer also repaired. My door handle on the drivers side broke which I had to pay to repair. Now my entire dash is falling apart. All the vents have popped out. The front vent area has buckled and come completely unglued so there is a huge gap. My defrost does not work properly without the vent. There is buckling around the passenger side airbag which scares me. The same airbag has been included in the recall which makes me even more scared of it and there is no sign when that will be repaired There is also bubbles in both the door panals in the front where they appear to be coming unglued. I thought Ford was better than this. There should be a recall on the interior of these cars because I know I am not the only one out there with this problem.

  12. Just picked up a '12 Fusion SEL fully loaded and now experiencing ambient lighting issues. This car was involved in minor flood issues (to the floorboards) but since has been restored. My issue that the ambient lighting system was originally only displaying a few colors and they were all different (ex. red on one light and white on another light) and this would change after pressing the button. Now, there is NO lights (cupholder or anywhere in the cabin). What could be causing the ambient lights to work sporadically and now not at all? Is this issue repairable by myself? Note: I found an "Ambient lighting control module" on eBay, which was attached to under one of the cupholders when I took apart my center console. Could this be the issue, or something with the wiring? Any suggestions much appreciated!
  13. Hello everyone. So I just bought a 10 piece interior led lighting kit. I went to go look up how to change the puddle lights and came across putting LEDs in I need an extra piece but it was for a 2013. I have a 2010. 15. Hey Everyone! I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place to post this, so my apologies if it should be moved or even if this is a thread somewhere else, but just blame it on my newness here. I bought a brand new 2014 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L automatic this past Saturday. I did this after doing a couple of months of research and homework so that when I ultimately walked onto the lot, they had the exact car I wanted (deep impact blue, moonroof, spoiler, regular SYNC [without myford touch]), I could sign the paperwork, and be off. And so far, I love it! Up until now, I was driving an '02 Mazda Protege with about 160,000 miles on it, so it's a night-and-day difference. However, yesterday I was looking at the rear window to put a sticker back there, and noticed that the whole headliner (rigid piece and all) was disconnected from the roof of the car along the back. I even ran my finger along it to make sure I wasn't seeing things, and I could feel the rough edge, and even put my finger between the roof and the headliner. I called the dealership right away, and they said they can fit it in this weekend for a repair (I also Google searched it and found this to be an issue with 2013 Fusions, so maybe it carried over). My question is if there's anything else I should look out for that you guys have seen in new Fusions? Any other "common problems" I should have them fix or look for, since I've only owned the car for about 5 days and damn well better be covered under the warranty? I will say that the gas mileage is disappointing, but I don't know if I just had unrealistic expectations of that or if there is a problem with my car. I filled up yesterday after work, did about 45 miles of combined city and highway driving last night and this morning, and I'm already showing 2 gallons of fuel used with the needle just a smidge above the 3/4 tank mark. I know it's kind of an apples to oranges comparison, but I don't feel like my Mazda was that bad. Am I being overly paranoid with all of this? It's my first new car ever, so I definitely want things to be perfect, and I don't know if any of you are like this, but once I see one thing wrong with a new "toy," I immediately get suspicious of everything else. Anyway, thanks so much for any advice or comforting words you can give. I'm still very excited about my new car, I just can't wait for it to be fixed so that I can be worry-free again! -Rob
  16. I have a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL (Ingot Silver) with tinted windows, smoked side markers with leds in them, and smoked license plate cover. I want to do more modifications to it, but I need some sites, suggestions, reasonable price options, and so forth!!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks PS Attached is my car with the tinted windows however it did not have the smoked side markers yet.
  17. Does anyone know if the ford A plan applies to accessories like floor mats.
  18. Okay so I finally went ahead with my plans to do a dome light override modification. I've always liked getting in a car and not being blinded at night I just find it convenient. The procedure is really simple and if anyone wants to do it, the total cost for me was $6 for a switch and crimp connections and some 18 gauge wire. Pictures are self explanatory but the method is to pull of the A post cover on the passenger side and disconnect the big plug. Snip the grey/purple wire, peeling back enough tape to give you crimping room, and attach a crimp at each open end of the wire. Then you crimp two 5 foot lenghts of your new wire onto each crimp and run them up the A post and across the headliner to the map light/overhead compartment. Once that is done you can take the overhead compartment out and make your hole for your switch. I got mine at radioshack, it used a 3/4 hole and was the flushest I could find. You can install the switch anywhere you want though so don't take wire lenghts literally. I considered somewhere near the dash but didn't find anywhere I liked. Install the switch then solder on the two wire leads and then tuck in the excess before re-installing the whole unit. Then you're good to go. All lights are functional when the switch is off, ie when you turn the light on manually with its corresponding button.
  19. Hello All, I have a quick question. I just purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion SE. Upon buying the car, I realized that the sliding piece of plastic that goes in the little dipped area in front of the gear shift is missing. Does anyone know what this piece is called so I can try and find it to order another one? I dont think it is a coin try, it may be the ash area, but any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  20. I recently put a sub in the trunk of my 2010 SEL and the sub sounds great accompanying the 12 speaker sony system, but my passanger side D-Pillar rattles when certain tones of bass hit. Does anyone know how to remove the D-Pillars? I am guessing they are just held in with interior trim clamps, but I don't just want to start yanking on the pillars and break anything.
