  1. Hello, I'm new to this forum & this problem may have been discussed ad nauseum before, but I can't seem to find it if so. The LED part of the tail lights on my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium, the ones on the fender NOT the trunk lid, do not light up while i am driving at night. Only that very faint light in the corner is on. HOWEVER, the LEDs do light up just fine when opening & closing the doors, or when remotely locking the car. I've gone to the expense of replacing the entire tail light assembly on both sides but that didn't work. Anybody else have this problem that can offer some advice? Please?? Edit: BTW, the brake lights and turn signals work just fine.
  2. Chrysler got it right on the '96 Cirrus we had. You could disable the stupid automatically dimming of the dash lights when the headlights came on. Is there way to disable this stupid feature on the 2014 Fusion, short of snipping wires? Why some designer or engineer would think it's a good idea to dim the dash lights is beyond me. The rotary / push button control does nothing to help. I don't know about others, but I like to see the speedometer, fuel gauge etc. at night as well as daytime.
  3. I have a 2013 Fusion Energi with the LED brake light, tail light, and turn signals. On the right side only, the brake light and turn signal have stopped working. The tail light works and the left side works fine. Dealer says you can't change out the LEDs, only replace the whole unit for $380. I'm wondering if it could be a fuse or relay but can't find any info about what fuse would serve that light and whether the left and right sides would be on separate fuses. Disappointing because I thought those LEDs would last for a long time, much longer than five years. has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know which fuse it would be? Thanks for any help. Steve
  4. Hi guys, I don't know what's the problem with my headlights or the sensor but my headlights don't turn on right away whenever I enter a dark area. Yes, they are set on automatic lights, but my son has a ford focus and for example when we enter a parking lot or a tunnel the lights turn on immediately, on my fusion it takes up to 15 seconds to turn on. I don't think it is the sensor because it has been like that since day one, and a friend of mine has a newer focus and doesn't have a problem. I checked the info settings and the only thing I can adjust is the delay for the lights to turn off after I leave the car. Any idea here guys ??
  5. I have a 2015 ford fusion. Yesterday was our first real cold day this fall (-10 C) and when I started the car in the morning to go to work a bunch of lights came on in the instrument cluster. ABS, AIRBAG, TRACTION CONTROL, TIRE SENSOR FAULT, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. THERE IS ALSO NO BACKUP CAMERA OR POWER ASSIST STEERING & POWER ASSIST BRAKES? The ONLY light that did not come on was the check engine light. Has anyone else had this problem? I also have a 2007 ford explorer and when it was new the first winter everyday the temp was below zero the airbag light would come on. Ford dealership assured me it was not a problem and that the airbag would still be functional. Just wondering if all these error lights will go off at some point and everything is actually still ok?
  6. Just picked up a '12 Fusion SEL fully loaded and now experiencing ambient lighting issues. This car was involved in minor flood issues (to the floorboards) but since has been restored. My issue that the ambient lighting system was originally only displaying a few colors and they were all different (ex. red on one light and white on another light) and this would change after pressing the button. Now, there is NO lights (cupholder or anywhere in the cabin). What could be causing the ambient lights to work sporadically and now not at all? Is this issue repairable by myself? Note: I found an "Ambient lighting control module" on eBay, which was attached to under one of the cupholders when I took apart my center console. Could this be the issue, or something with the wiring? Any suggestions much appreciated!
  7. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in installing Oracle Halo's in their factory headlights and/or fog lights. My question is geared towards the wiring aspect. Can anyone walk me through how to wire these into my factory harnesses. I am trying to avoid having to use a secondary switch to operate them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  8. I've been searching this for a while and can't find the information I am looking for. I installed HID's with a relay and capacitor and blew out two different ballasts. After contacting the manufacturer, the problem seems that I still have the DRL's running. My car doesn't have the option to turn them off, and the dealer wants $60 to do this, which is ridiculous. I was hoping to either find the fuse and remove it, or download the VCM software to do it myself as I already have a cable. Well, I can't find which fuse it is, and I can't find the software for a cheap price. Anyone have any help or advice on what they did??
  9. My first problem is i cant find all the interior bulb sizes. The next is how do i change the bulbs i figured out the trunk but not the dome lights. The next is it legal to have blue interior lights ?
  10. I was putting in new LED backup lights when somehow the light shorted out when I was putting it back in the housing. I checked for fuses but I guess its on a relay, so I really have no idea how to get my backup lights on. Let me know if you guys know anything! Thanks!
  11. Does anyone know how to turn-on the daytime running lights (DRL) without going to the dealer? People state on other forums that the dealer sometimes turn the DRL for a small fee. Also, some people state Ford doesn't want dealerships to turn the DRL on because it drains the battery on the Energi.
  12. why the headlights of the 10-12 FF called quad beam headlights??. I looked at mine I only saw the low/high,parking light.
  13. The right brake light is always on, (The light on the trunk) Not sure why it is going on, all connections seem fine. any help?
