  1. For about a month now, I've been dealing with my driver door not locking via the keyless entry remote on my 2006 Fusion. I've been unlocking it manually with the key. It'll make the sound, it just doesn't unlock or lock. I've been trying to find a forum to fix this issue but I've had no luck. Will replacing the whole handle do the trick or is it something else?
  2. SHORT VERSION Is there a key hole (key cylinder) inside a 2017 Ford Fusion where I can insert a key blade? This would either start the car (old school), or allow the Start button to work without the presence of a MyKey fob.. LONG VERSION I work 60 miles from home. If I lose my fob (I lose things) I can't go home without calling Ford or a locksmith. Maybe I don't have a phone. I don't want to carry two fobs in my pocket - one as a backup (since that would be silly). Sure I could spend hundreds of dollars on a third fob, but I am cheap. My plan is to have an extra key made by a locksmith and put it in my desk drawer just in case.. I assume the key would hold some kind of anti-theft device needed to allow the vehicle to start (if that is in the Fob then we are done here I suppose). I know the key blade can open the driver door mechanically using the procedure shown in the manual. (Slide and remove the hidden cap on the rear end of the driver door handle, then insert key blade into slot from below that is exposed facing up into bottom of handle. Of course the SecuriCode keypad could have gotten me in.. just talking key blades here.. [did you know there is a key slot in the end of each door to allow you to lock each one individually should you need to do so?] Now what? I'm in my Fusion. No Fob. Key blade in hand. Is there a place to insert the key blade inside the car? I thought it was under the cup holder, but thats where the molded "key pairing" indention (called a "backup slot") is located. Sorry if a duplicated. I searched but couldn't find a post like this.
  3. I have a 2014 Titanium and on each door is a small red LED that lights up when I lock the car, and turns off when the car is unlocked. One of these lights are out, and I don't want to go through the hassle of removing the door panel to replace that light if I don't have to. It almost seems as if it can be popped out with a screwdriver but when I tried it did not budge. Does anyone have experience with this? I can't seem to find an answer anywhere! (In this picture its the small circle on the left top of the door)
  4. Hello! I just purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion today and I pretty much have all of the goodies set up to my liking. I programmed the keyless entry to my own personal code in order to unlock the vehicle but I can't help but wonder, is there a way to program another code to be able to keylessly lock it? Just wondering if that is a feature on this car. Thank you!!
  5. I have a 2007 Ford Fusion. The driver door will not open from either the inside or the outside. I have read a bunch of posts in this site about broken interior door handles, but mine seems to have slightly different symptoms: namely, that mine cannot be opened from the outside (other posts mention opening the door from the outside by reaching out the window), and there is no visible broken part. When I unlock via the remote fob, it makes several clicking/grinding sounds (more clicks/different sound than the standard unlock sound). This issue happened once before, about a month ago, but seemed to self-correct (I got out via the passenger door, ate lunch, and the driver door worked fine when I went to leave the restaurant). I thought it was a one-time (user error?) issue, but now it's happened again. Any ideas?
