So my 2014 Ford Fusion, which i do really like, has this passenger side mirror issue. I found that it does not work, while everything else on the same fuse does. So i have been able to decide the fuse is fine. There is no physical damage, is there some place to check for a wiring fault? How should I look into diagnosing the issue? I miss having the window defrost the most here in New England. Luckily the mirror is stuck in a usable position.

Trying to remove the drivers side mirror to check the conectors. The auto dim works intermittently and the defrost always works. Just try to find out to to remove the glass without breaking anything.

The passenger side exterior mirror goes crazy after a rain or car wash. Most times it forgets its memory setting and the glass droops to the full down position when the car is turned off. When I restart the car it doesn't return to the correct position. After a hard rain last week it went totally crazy - sometimes it would go to full up other times full down. When I would press the memory button the mirror would start moving all over the place - up, down, left, right. I would have to hit the memory button 5 or 6 times to get to the right position. Of course it stopped the day before I took it to the dealer and they can't repeat it. Anybody else experience this?

Hello everybody I was hoping you guys would be able to help me. My Passenger side mirror managed to snag a tree branch while it was falling and broke. I have tons of questions that I hope you guys can help me answer. 1. How hard is it to replace the stuff myself? 2. If I were to order heated mirrors from a website because they are the only ones in stock would they work on my non heated sockets? I understand the heating element would not work but would everything else (movement) 3. If I were to get these how hard would it be to wire them up to heat when I want to, even if I need to create my own switched circuit. 4. if I order black ones but my car is grey how difficult is it to paint them if they are designed to be painted. 5. Lastly would straight black mirrors look good on the metallic gray color my car already is? Please let me know as soon as possible there are very few left in stock in the store (amazon) and I need to order them.

I need a wiring diagram for an auto dimming rear-view mirror on a 2012 ford fusion SEL. I’m planning on installing a new backup mirror. I figure Blue wire for 12v+ and a black/yellow for 12v-. I also have green which I assume is ground. But I have two blue/light blue wire I don’t know about. I could really use some help. And to be clear the mirrors only feature is auto dimming nothing else. I’ve included pics. Also if anybody can give me the name of 16 pin connector that would be awesome.

Hi guys, new to the forum. As my title suggests, Im wondering if there are any plug and play options for a rear view mirror with DVR. I'd like to find something that incorporates the existing B/U camera as well as a forward looking camera and maintain the auto dimming feature as well. Obviously something with record looping. I noticed there is a wiring harness that plugs into the mirror coming from the wiper sensor. I've seen several options on the internet, but nothing seems to be a direct replacement. Most seem to be add on types that require another separate camera for B/U and a separate power cord. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have this system coming in, and it should be here tomorrow: http://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PLCMDVR42 I am hoping that I can wire it into something up in the map light console, but I'm unsure if there's anything up there that would work. I have a 2012 Fusion SE and it is not equipped with a auto-dim mirror, just a standard old-school one with no cables/boxes coming out of the headliner. In the past (from experiences with my old mustang) I've noticed that Ford included the appropriate cables to plug-n-play add on accessories, but I'm not sure if that's still the case. If so, I could wire in to the cable that would be hanging out in the console not connected to anything. Does anyone have any experience with this type situation and could tell me if that cable is in there before I start taking my car apart? Also, if anyone has a wiring diagram for that cable could you post it for me? -
I have a 2012 Fusion SEL and I think it's terrible the car didn't come with folding mirrors. I've already had a garage knock one off. Are there folding mirror alternatives? Will the Lincoln MKZ mirrors fit. I have HEAT & BLIS.
