Hey guys, just started modding my 2017 fusion 2.0 EcoBoost. Recently got a new set of wheels and tires and now i want to make it sound better. Im thinking of changing the muffler. Any advice what would be better. Dont want something screaming loud cuz those or litreal cop magnets. Just want something louder than the stock one and shoud sound decent. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hello. I have a 2013 Fusion SE, single exhaust. It’s way too quiet for me. I’d like to get a muffler installed but I have no clue what to ask for. I visited a local muffler shop today and he told me “straight pipe” would be the loudest I could get it, but I hear that’s illegal when it comes to smoging and such. I’d like it loud but I don’t want to have to worry about tickets or whatever may come witb an illegal exhaust. I added a video of what I’d like it to sound similar to. 2009 Ford Fusion SEL 3.0L. I’ve never done any exhaust work or muffler replacements. I just came here looking for tips or preferences on a bolted or welded on muffler.

Hi all, This is my first post on the Ford Fusion Forum. I am coming here for some advice from fellow Fusion owners on some problems I have been having lately. I own a 2012 Ford Fusion SE with almost 80,000 miles (mostly highway) on it. I bought it in March of 2012 and it has been a great commuters car; however, in the last 6 months I have been having quite a few issues. About two weeks ago, it started to make this sound, it's not extremely loud, but it is definitely heard in the car with the radio on and heard outside by others. It gets louder when you accelerate. I brought it to my mechanic and they checked to see if there was a hole in the muffler, they found nothing. I don't know what else it could be, my mechanic said the car looked fine, but it's not a normal noise. Secondly, the airbag light went on in my car. My mechanic didn't have the tools to find the problem. I'll probably have to bring it to my local Ford Dealership, just for them to rip me off, so excited. Has anyone else had these problems or know how they could be resolved? Thanks, FordFusion507

My wife came home last night and claims she ran over something and put a hole in her muffler. She showed me what she thought was a puncture, BUT it seemed pretty symmetrical to be a puncture. Does the muffler on a 2012 Fusion SE have a small hole in the muffler, about the middle bottom, for condensation to escape ? Thanks, Wayne
