  1. Hello All! New to this forum, I searched, went through about 10 pages of hits and could not find any info around this topic. The 2020 SE AWD 2.0 does not come with the LED DRL, and for some reason that makes me very mad :) I really want the LED DRL on my headlamps. I see multiple products on Ebay, but I am not one to trust random Chinese suppliers / products without a recommendation. Is it possible to switch out the OEM non-LED DRL headlamps for my Fusion model with an aftermarket or even an OEM replacement for a Hybrid or Titanium that has the LED DRL into the SE? I found something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-For-Ford-Fusion-Headlights-assembly-All-Led-Lens-Projector-LED-DRL-2017-20/184167814111?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3Ddcb427059e7c455a8352c6fc76ff014c%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D30%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D352726211609%26itm%3D184167814111%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2386202%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWeb&_trksid=p2386202.c100677.m4598 Any thoughts or suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance for your help!
  2. I have been searching all over the internet and can't seem to find anybody that has replaced their stock stereo w/navigation with an after market stereo. As far as I can tell the only reason crutchfield doesn't have any thing for my car is because the stereo with the navigation has a different dash panel than the stereo without the navigation. So I bought the climate control buttons off of ebay and the information display. I plugged in them in and the display does not light up but the all the climate control buttons work as far as I can tell. Now the display I bought is for a 2010 to 2012 fusion and I just found a 2009 to 2010 display on ebay that I am going to try and see if it is because I have an early model 2010 as I got it right when they came out. Does any body know if the computer needs to be reprogrammed in order to get the display to work? Has anybody here replaced their factory navigation with a aftermarket stereo?
  3. Had to get the Windshield replaced due to a factory defect in the glass lamination right in drivers view on my 2017 Fusion Platinum... Will follow up with after pictures.
  4. I am replacing my front caliper on my 2007 fusion SE, but I need to know how much to torque the brake hose-to-brake caliper bolt, caliper pin, and anchor bolts. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
  5. Hi All, Here's my story: Leased a brand new 2016 Ford Fusion Energi SE. Lease agreement started on February 29th, 2016. Started noticing a moldy smell inside the cabin. The smell even lingered on my clothes after getting out of the car. On March 29th, noticed excessive moisture coming up from underneath the carpeting. On March 30th, brought the car into the local Ford service center. Service center conducted a few tests to find the source of a possible leak. Could not find anything. Service center provided a loaner vehicle on/around April 4th. Service center brought in an engineer from Ford to run some more tests. Still couldn't find anything. Service center received authorization from Ford Motor Company to replace carpeting and molding inside the car. At this point, it's been approx. 3 weeks since I brought the car in (week of April 18th). Later that week, I called Ford Motor Company and expressed my opinion about their solution. If they replace the interior but still can't find a leak, we'll probably have the same issue a month later with the new interior. I reach out to Ford the following week (now the end of April), Ford advises they will review the case and get back to me within 7-10 days. They have to internally discuss whether it's better to proceed with the original solution or to buy the car back from me. After another week, Ford Motor Company agrees to buy my car back (first week of May, approximately) Service center and Ford Motor Company exchange information and misc. paperwork over the course of a few days. Ford Motor Company confirms the refund of my last monthly payment, since I was without my car for over a month at this point. Received paperwork from Ford Reacquired Vehicle Headquarters on Friday, May 13th. Contains a contract that states the following:I'm entitled to any new Ford/Lincoln of equal or greater value. I am responsible for any difference in cost between the MSRP of the old car vs. the MSRP of the new one. I'm responsible for any applicable mileage/usage charges that may apply (obviously, this doesn't apply because the car was only a month old before I brought it back to the service center) I'm responsible for tax on the vehicle upgrade amount, transfer fees, license fees, and other state-mandated fees. As of today, I'm trying to contact Ford RAV to clarify the definition of a transfer fee, license fee, and other state-mandated fees. I have 14 days to respond, or else the offer will expire. The contract is dated May 12th, so I have until May 26th to get back to them. With all that said, do you think I should be responsible for any extra fees incurred due to a buyback/vehicle exchange? Why should I have to pay any "transfer fees", "license fees", or any "other state-mandated fees"? If my brand new car didn't smell like mold, I wouldn't have any of these extra costs. Shouldn't Ford be responsible for those? Also, if I decline the replacement offer, am I entitled to a full refund? I'm not contractually obligated until I sign this contract, so I'm definitely considering other brands before I make a decision. Looking forward to any feedback. Thanks, - Jordan
  6. Hello, First post on here, I just bought a white 2013 Ford Fusion SE and the side mirror on the passenger side needs some work. Everything on the mirror is perfectly fine (mirror, motor, outside casing and arm that attaches to the car) but the black outside boarder of the side mirror is cracked and runs into the inside of the mirror housing. Not sure how the previous owner managed to do this type of damage. Is there a way to only replace the boarder of the side mirror and the plastic on the inside? It looks like from research that its all one piece and the replacement will be very expensive as I will have the replace the most important part of the side mirror. Any advice would be incredibly appreciated.
  7. I need ideas on what could be wrong with my Fog Lamps. My Drivers Side Lamp has been burned out for a while, so I went to replace it today. I replaced it with the same spec as called for, and it matched the old bulb specs. After replacing it, both fog lamps won't work at all. At first I thought I had burned out my fuse. Already checked it, and it seems to be good. I checked my manual for possible relays that could be linked to the Fog Lamps and have seen nothing. I swapped the lamp back to the old one, put the new one back in, and also unplugged the Neg Batt terminal to see if the system needed to be reset for some reason. Still no dice. Any ideas? Thanks!
  8. Hello, I'm just now joining the Ford/Fusion community for the first time, and have a question regarding my purchase of my first Blue Oval. I really like the car, was pleasantly surprised after the test drive - which lead me to take the plunge - and I hope to keep it for years. My question is in 2 parts: 1) I bought a used 2007 recently (120k mi, manual, 2.3L) with no warrantee, from a large Ford dealer, and 2 days after getting it home, the CEL came on, and now I need a $1,400 cat + downstream o2 sensor (code 0420; CEL came back after being wiped by AdvanceAuto and was verified by my own scan tool). I did not do a PPI with a separate mechanic (I know, I know, caveat emptor, but I thought Ford parts are cheap, if there is something I can't spot myself I'll take the $200 from the PPI and put it towards the repair), However, the stealership in question did check the car out for me before buying it, and gave me paperwork documenting a multi-point inspection, saying that everything was ok. In this paperwork there is a line that says "inspect catalytic converter" with a green check-mark next to it. Do you guys think I have any legal recourse here? Obviously I can't prove they knew about the problem, and it technically could have happened within the 20-50mi of me owning it (although this is a tiny chance). 2) Assuming I'm going to bite the bullet with the dealer fix, they said I could source my own parts to try and keep costs down. Are there any reliable places to get OEM-quality (with a CAT I would only want OEM-quality parts, so I don't go through this again in a couple years) Ford parts? Also, the dealer rep said there are actually 3 cats on the car, wtf? Should I assume they will all be going bad at some point soon, with about $1,000 repair for each one? To their credit, they agreed to "work with me" a bit on the price, however the repair would still run me over $1,000. Thanks, and any advice would be appreciated! P.S. I am using the BAFX ELM 327 OBD2 scan tool, which is AWESOME, and I recommend everyone out there get one. It's $25, syncs wirelessly to any smartphone through a free app, and has access to many CPU functions. I brought up the voltages from the upstream and downstream O2 sensors, and watched them fluctuate while the vehicle was on - which helped me verify that I thought the cat was bad before taking it to the stealership.
  9. http://www.carparts.com/details/Ford/Fusion/Replacement/Bumper_Grille/2010/REPF015310.html?TID=80000000CP-cprebugr10fordfusion20102011replacementrepf0153101&origin=pla&CP=1&CP_SRC=PPC&gclid=CLOG-M-dxbMCFbQ7OgodvyYA9w Hello All, I have a 2010 ford fusion SE. The Lower portion of the grille broke and subsequently fell off. While looking to replace it I saw the lower grille for the ford fusion sport. This honeycomb type grille looks alot more attractive than the one that comes standard with the SE in my opinion, and is the same price. It appears that it will fit seeing that it is the same size but does anybody know for sure if it will fit (specificly relating to all of the clips lining up). Shown above is a link to the item im looking to install on my SE. Thanks in advance.
